03-18-24 | Knicks v. Warriors -5.5 | 119-112 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 33 m | Show
Another East vs West clash here on Monday has the Ny Knicks on a West Coast swing as they face Golden State tonight. The Knicks are 4th in the East with a 40-27 record and 4.5 games back of 2nd place Milwaukee. No one is catching the Celtics in the East, as they hold a 9.5 game lead. The Warriors are a percentage point ahead of the Lakers for 9th place in the West. Only three games separate them from 6th place Sacramento. That 6th place spot is guaranteed while 7 thru 11 must to the play-in round. The Knicks have won three in a row and are 2-0-1 vs the spread. The Knicks have been battling some injuries with guard O.G. Anunoby listed as questionable and F Julius Randall still out. Golden State is coming off a win at the Lakers, 128-121, as a 2-point dog. They are just 17-17 S/U and 13-20-1 at home this year. They have done well vs the East though, going 17-8 S/U and 16-9 ATS this season. Steph Curry returned vs the Lakers and it made a big difference after missing three games. Klay Thompson also looks to be getting better off the bench. He's scored 21 or more points in four of his last five games. With the Warriors healthy tonight and Curry and Thompson both playing, I'll lay the points with the Warriors in this one. |

03-18-24 | Wolves -6 v. Jazz | 114-104 | Win | 100 | 10 h 33 m | Show
It's Western Conference clash here on Monday as the Timberwolves face the Jazz. The Timberwolves are third in the West with a 46-21 record. They are a half came back of the Denver Nuggets and now one game back of first place Oklahoma City. The Utah Jazz are dropping fast and right now look like they will be eliminated from the playoffs soon. They are 12th in the West, 7.5-games back of the Lakers for that final play-in spot. The Wolves have won two straight games including their last game vs these Jazz in Utah, 119-100, as a 8-point favorite. They are also 23-13 S/U and 19-15-2 ATS on the road this year. The Jazz are 29-38 S/U and 36-30-1 ATS on the season. They are 1-4 S/U and 2-3 ATS their last five games. In addition, they are now 3-12 S/U and 5-10 ATS their last 15 games. I expect an outcome similar to when these teams met on Friday with the T'Wolves winning and covering. Play Minnesota. |

The Bulls are 9th in the East, 2.5-games ahead of 10th place Atlanta and 7-games ahead of 11th place Brooklyn. They are also five games back of the last guaranteed playoff spot held by Indiana. They went over in their last game at New Orleans with a 107-126 final. They have gone over in five of their last seven games. They average 107.7 ppg while allowing 115.9 ppg on the season. Chicago is coming off a win at home vs Washington, 127-98. They went over in that game and are 3-0 o/u their last three games. The Bulls average 112.1 ppg while allowing 113.6 ppg. They are 18-16 o/u at home this season. The Bulls will determine the total results here today. If they score a lot, like I expect, then this game will go over. Play the OVER. |

03-17-24 | Wisconsin v. Illinois -3.5 | 87-93 | Win | 100 | 4 h 2 m | Show
Last game on the schedule today is the Big 10 Conference Championship as Illinois takes on Wisconsin. Wisconsin one of those teams that might not get to the NCAA without a win here today as they are 22-12 overall. The Badgers are 3-0 in this tourney after wins over Maryland, Northwestern and then yesterday beating top seeded Purdue, 76-75, as a 6-point dog. They face an Illinois team they played on March 2 and lost at home 83-91 as a 3-point favorite. Illinois will make the NCAA despite what happens today as they are 25-8 overall. The have beaten Iowa, Ohio State and then yesterday over Nebraska, 98-87 to advance to the championship game today. They have covered two of the three games, failing just vs Ohio State by two-points. Illinois is 18-13-2 ATS overall and 3-1 ATS in neutral site games this year. Illinois the best team left in this tourney after Purdue went out yesterday. I'll take the Illini here today. |

03-17-24 | Suns v. Bucks -3 | 129-140 | Win | 100 | 2 h 41 m | Show
Early action in the NBA here on Sunday has a big West vs East clash as the Milwaukee Bucks host the Phoenix Suns. The Milwaukee Bucks are in 2nd in the East, one game ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers but 9.5-games back of Boston for the top spot. The Suns are in 6th spot in the West, just a half game ahead of the Kings and one game ahead of the Mavericks. They hold that last guaranteed spot and don't want to fall into the play-in spots. The Suns are a difficult team to get behind of late as they are just 4-4 S/U their last eight and 2-7 ATS their last nine games. They are coming off a win at Charlotte their last game, 107-96 as a 10 point favorite. The Phoenix Suns have not been a reliable squad to back recently. They are only 4-4 in their last eight games, covering the spread on just two occasions in that span. The Milwaukee Bucks continue to succeed, issuing a 7-3 record in their last ten games. In addition, they are averaging 112.5 points in the last five games, below their season average. The Bucks are also coming off a home win over Philly, 114-105, as a 7-point favorite. They returned home for that game after a four game West road swing. Before the road trip they had won six straight games and covered five of those. Milwaukee playing better ball and with the home court here today and needing just over a straight-up win, I'll take Milwaukee. |

Atlantic 10 Conference Championship from Brooklyn, NY has Duquesne taking on VCU for the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament next week. The Duquesne Dukes are one of those teams right on the bubble if they don't win today since they are 23-11 overall. The Ducks are 3-0 in this tourney beating St Louis in their opener, then Dayton and yesterday over St Bonny's, 70-60, as a 2-point favorite. They have covered all three games. VCU pretty much in the same spot as the Rams are 22-12 overall. They have got hot in the tourney, beating Fordham in the opener, then U Mass and yesterday over St Joe's, 66-60, as a 1.5-point favorite. The Rams are 20-12-2 ATS on the season and 4-1-1 ATS in neutral site games. They are also 4-1 S/U and ATS in their tourneys this year. This should be a close game but I'm taking VCU. |
|||||||
03-16-24 | Knicks v. Kings -3 | 98-91 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 58 m | Show
The New York Knicks are 4th in the Eastern Conference, a half game ahead of 5th place Orlando and 2.5-games ahead of 6th place Indiana. Top six is important since they all get guaranteed playoff spots and not play-in spots. Sacramento is just holding onto that 6th place spot in the West, tied with Phoenix and one game ahead of 8th place Dallas. The Knicks have won two straight games and are 4-4 S/U and 3-4-1 ATS their last eight games. They are coming off a win at Portland, 105-93 in their last game as a 12-point favorite. The Knicks are 17-14 S/U and 17-13-1 ATS on the road. They are 12-12 S/U and 10-13-1 ATS vs the Western Conference. The Kings have won two straight games and four of their last five games. They are also 4-3 ATS their last seven games. The Kings are 19-12 S/U and 13-18 ATS at home. They are also 12-10 S/U and 11-11 vs the East this year. I'm taking the Kings at home tonight. |
|||||||
03-16-24 | Thunder -10 v. Grizzlies | 118-112 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 58 m | Show
The Oklahoma City Thunder battling for the top spot in the Western Conference. The Thunder are 46-20 and just a half game back of leader Denver. They are also a game ahead of third place Minnesota. Memphis should be eliminated from the playoffs soon as they sit 13th and well behind that 10th and final postseason spot. The Thunder are coming off a win over Dallas on Thursday, 126-119 as a 10.5-point favorite. They are 4-1 S/U and 1-4 ATS their last five games. They have been a good road team with a 19-13 S/U and 17-14-1 ATS mark. Memphis is 1-3 S/U and ATS its last four games including losing the last game at home to Charlotte, 98-110, as a 2.5-point dog. The Grizzlies having scoring issues as they have 98 or fewer points in three of their last four games. They are just 8-26 S/U and 12-22 ATS at home with a -7.4 point differential. The Thunder laying right at double digits but they need these softball games if they want to win the West. Take Oklahoma City today. |

I'm taking the points here today with Cornell. |

Mountain West Conference Semifinal from Las Vegas, NV is the last game on the schedule at 9pm PT and 12am ET on Saturday. The Colorado State Rams are now 24-9 S/U after a pair of wins in this conference tourney. They opened with a win over San Jose State, 72-62, as a 14.5-point favorite. Then last night they beat Nevada pretty easily, 85-78, as a 3.5-point dog. The Rams have hit at least 50% from the field in their last three games. These teams met last on Feb 21 and it was a tight game with New Mexico winning in The Pit, 68-66 as a 8.5-point favorite. These teams are both very evenly matched but I'll be on Colorado State in this one. |

The Providence Friars have won two straight in the tournament, first over Georgetown, 74-56 as a 9.5 point favorite and then last night over Creighton, 78-73, as a 8.5-point dog. That makes them 6-3 S/U and 5-4 ATS their last nine games and they are on a two-game win streak. They looks for another outright dog winner here today against Marquette. Marquette is 24-8 and coming off a win in their first tourney game yesterday over Villanova, 71-65, as a 4-point favorite. The Eagles have won and covered two straight games and five of their last seven games. Dogs seem to be doing well in the tourney thus far and I'm on this dog today. Play Providence. |

They are also 13-18-1 ATS overall on the season. Arizona won the regular season crown in the PAC-12. The Wildcats are 25-7 and will be headed to the NCAA tournament. They beat USC yesterday in their opening tourney game, 70-49, as a 9.5-point favorite. That win made them 11-2 S/U and 9-4 ATS their last 13 games. Arizona is also good at covering spreads, going 21-11 ATS on the season. These teams met not long ago on March 2 with Arizona thumping the Ducks, 103-83 as a 14-point favorite. I'm taking Arizona in what I expect to be a blowout win. |
|||||||

Mid Tenn State Blue Raiders are 14-18 overall but did open conference tourney play with a win over Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, 70-67, as a 9-point dog. The Raiders are 3-3 S/U and ATS their last six games. The Raiders are just 11-19 ATS overall this season and 1-3 in tourney action this year. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers right on that bubble at 20-11 overall. They came off a win over New Mexico State yesterday, 89-69 as a 6.5-point favorite. They are 17-11 ATS on the season and 2-2 in tourney games. These teams last met on Feb 24th with Mid Tennessee State winning on their home court, 74-72, as a 3.5-point dog. They did lost at W.Kentucky back on Feb 3, 65-88 as a 6-point dog. I look for Western Kentucky to win this one going away. |

03-15-24 | Wisconsin v. Northwestern +4 | 70-61 | Loss | -105 | 2 h 8 m | Show

They hit a red-hot 51.7% from the field and 64% from the 3-point arc. The Badgers have been very inconsistent though, not having won two games or more in a row Since Jan 23rd and Jan 26th. Moreover they are 3-9 ATS their last 12 games. Northwestern looks to win their opening game of this conference tourney today. They played last Saturday and beat Minnesota, 90-66, as a 4.5-point favorite. The Wildcats also lost to Wisconsin back on Jan 13th, 63-71 on the road. The Cats are 17-12-2 ATS on the season and 3-2 S/U and ATS in their neutral and tourney games this year. I'm taking Northwestern in this game. |
|||||||
03-15-24 | Michigan State +7.5 v. Purdue | 62-67 | Win | 100 | 1 h 1 m | Show
Early action in the Big 10 conference tournament today has Michigan State taking on Purdue. The Michigan State Spartans are coming off a 10-point win on Thursday over Minnesota 77-67 as a 7 point favorite. They hit a blistering 55.6% from the field and 62.5% from three point arc. The Spartans are now 2-2 straight up and against the spread on their four neutral site games. Purdue had a buy in yesterday's round of the Big 10 tournament. Their last game coming on March 10th in a win over Wisconsin 78-70 as a 10-point favorite. That made five straight wins for the boilermakers. However they are just 2-5 against the spread their last seven games. They also played this Michigan State team on March 2nd beating them 80-74 but failing to cover the 10 point spread. I like the dog in this game I'm taking Michigan State. |
|||||||
03-14-24 | Cincinnati +6.5 v. Baylor | 56-68 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 60 m | Show
Big 12 Conference tourney action here on Thursday has Cincinnati taking on Baylor. Cincinnati is 20-13 after winning their opening game in tourney play yesterday over Kansas, 72-52, as a 2.5-point favorite. That makes three straight wins for the Bearcats and 3-1 ATS their last four games. The Cats are 2-2 both S/U and ATS on a neutral court. Baylor is 22-9 as they play its first game in tourney action here tonight. They are coming off a loss last Saturday at Texas Tech, 68-78, as a 2-point dog. That snapped a 3-game win streak for the Bears. Baylor is 4-5 S/U and 6-3 ATS in nine away games. Last time these teams met was back on Jan 13th and Baylor won that game at Cincinnati, 62-59, but failed to cover the 6.5-point favorite line. Cincinnati looked great in their opening game and Baylor coming off that extended layoff. I'll take Cincinnati here this evening. |
|||||||
03-14-24 | Wizards v. Rockets -7.5 | 119-135 | Win | 100 | 11 h 48 m | Show
East vs West here tonight as the Washington Wizards travel to Houston to face the Rockets. The Wizards have been eliminated from the postseason and have the worst record in the NBA at 11-54. Houston also facing missing the postseason as they are 11th right now, four-games back of Golden State for that final Play-In spot. Washington coming off a loss last game at Memphis, 97-109, as a 2.-5 point favorite. That snapped a two-game win streak both S/U and ATS. The Wizards are actually a decent covering team on the road where they are 21-13-1 ATS this season. Houston has won three straight games, both and covered six of their last seven games. They are also 5-1 S/U their last six games. That includes three straight road wins against Portland, Sacramento and San Antonio. The Rockets are 21-11 S/U and 22-10 ATS at home this year. This game means a lot to Houston since they play the worst team in the NBA and need wins if they hope to make the postseason. Lay the points with Houston tonight. |
|||||||
03-14-24 | Fresno State v. Utah State -12 | Top | 75-87 | Push | 0 | 3 h 26 m | Show |
Mountain West Quarterfinals from Las Vegas, NV has Fresno State taking on Utah State. Fresno State won its first round game last night over Wyoming, 77-73, pulling the upset as a 5-point dog. The Bulldogs shot 53.2% from the field and 33.3% from the 3-point arc while holding Wyoming to 41.1% from the field. That win actually snapped a seven game losing streak and 3-4 ATS run. One of those losses came at home to this Utah State club on Feb 27th, 73-77, as they covered the 10.5 point dog line. However, the outcome wasn't so good at Utah State back on Jan 20 where they lost 62-83 as a 13-point dog. Utah State should make the NCAA no matter what happens in this tournament with their 26-5 record. They had the bye in the first round and bring a 5-game win streak into today's contest. They are also, 7-1 S/U their last eight and 3-4-1 ATS. The Aggies have played four games on the neutral site this year and are 4-0 S/U and 3-1 ATS. I'm laying the points in this one as I see a Utah State blowout. |
|||||||
03-14-24 | BYU -2.5 v. Texas Tech | 67-81 | Loss | -120 | 1 h 23 m | Show
Early Big 12 action here on Thursday has BYU taking on Texas Tech in the Quarterfinals from Kansas City, Mo. BYU opened tourney play with a decisive win over Central Florida on Wednesday, 87-73, as a 6-point favorite. The Cougars shot 47.2% from the field and a blistering 46.7% from the 3-point arc. That makes them 5-0 ATS in their last five games. Texas Tech had a bye in the opening round on Wednesday. Their last game was last Saturday in a win at home over Baylor, 78-68, as a 2-point favorite. The Red Raiders are 3-0 both S/U and ATS in their last three games. They are 3-2 S/U and 2-3 ATS in their five neutral site games this year. Byu a short favorite here on Thursday and I like the Cougars to advance to next round. Play BYU. |
|||||||
03-13-24 | Lakers v. Kings +2.5 | 107-120 | Win | 100 | 10 h 1 m | Show
Pacific Division clash here in the NBA tonight has the Sacramento Kings hosting the LA Lakers. The Kings are 37-27 overall and 25-37-3 ATS while the Lakers are 37-30 S/U and 31-35-1 ATS. Both teams likely will be in the postseason as 11th place Houston now 4.5 games back of 10th place Golden State. However, if these teams want a guaranteed playoff spot they will need some wins. Sacramento is 7th and just a half game back of that 6th and final guaranteed spot. The Lakers are two-games back of the Kings. Yet here tonight the Lakers are favored on the road at Sacramento. The Lakers have won two straight games, both at home. That make them 4-2 S/U and 3-3 ATS their last six games. LA is 12-19 S/U and 13-18 ATS on the road this year. These teams met one week ago in LA with the Lakers losing, 120-130 as a 2.5-point favorite. Sacramento is coming off a win over the Bucks, 129-94, as a 1-point favorite. That was their third win in their last four games. The Kings are 18-12 S/U and 12-18 ATS at home this year. They have only been a home dog three times and are 2-1 S/U and ATS in that role. Not sure why the Kings are a small home dog here tonight but I'll take them plus the small points. Play Sacramento. |
|||||||
03-13-24 | Cincinnati -2.5 v. Kansas | 72-52 | Win | 100 | 10 h 38 m | Show
Big 12 Conference action here on Wednesday has Kansas taking on Cincinnati. Cincinnati Bearcats opened play yesterday with a win over West Virginia, 90-8 5, as a 9.5-point favorite. The Bearcats shot 44.6% from the field and a very good 42.1% from three point arc. That was their second win in a row and third in their last four games. The Bearcats are 4-6 S/U and 6-4 on the road and 1-2 both S/U and ATS on neutral sites. Kansas finished the regular season at 22-9 and likely will make the NCAA, though that's not a given at this point. The Jayawks are coming off a loss at Houston, 46-76, as a 7.5-point dog. That makes their third loss in their last four games both S/U and ATS. Not good to come into the conference tourney on a slump as Kansas is doing. Moreover, the Hawks are just 3-6 ATS their last nine games. They finished 13-16 ATS on the season and 3-6 ATS on the road. These teams last met on Jan 22 in Kansas with the Jayhawks winning on their homecourt, 74-69, as a 8-point favorite. I like Cincinnati here today as the Jayhawks are slumping. Take Cincinnati. |
|||||||
03-13-24 | St. Louis +8.5 v. Duquesne | 73-83 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 30 m | Show
Atlantic 10 Conference Tourney action continues here on Wednesday as St Louis takes on Duquesne. The St Louis Billikens finished the regular season at 13-19 and this likely their only chance at a postseason tourney other than the conference tourney. They won their second game in a row yesterday and third in their last four games as they beat Rhode Island, 74-71, as a 3-point favorite. The Billikens are just 2-2 S/U and 1-2-1 on the neutral sites this year. The Duquesne Dukes start their tourney play here today after finishing the regular season with a win over George Washington, 67-65, as a 10.5-point favorite. The Dukes bring a four-game win streak into this tourney game and are 3-1 ATS. These teams last met on Feb 20th at Duquesne wit the Dukes winning 81-66, as a 9.5-point favorite. Duquesne is 2-1 S/U and 1-2 ATS on neutral site courts this year. A lot of points to lay in this conference game for Duquesne. While I expect them to win, I do look for St Louis to put up a good fight and get inside the number in this one. Play St Louis. |
|||||||
03-13-24 | UCF +6.5 v. BYU | 73-87 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 49 m | Show
Early action here in college tourney play has Central Florida taking on BYU in the Big 12 tourney. BYU finished 5th with a 10-8 conference record and overall mark of 22-9. UCF was near the bottom half of the standings with a 8-11 conference record and overall mark of 17-14. UCF opened Big 12 play yesterday with a decisive win over Oklahoma State, 77-62, as a 4-point favorite. That makes two wins in a row and three covers in a row for the Golden Knights. They are also 4-2 S/U and 5-1 ATS over their las six games. These teams met on Feb 13 at BYU with the Cougars taking a close matchup, 90-88 as a 12.5-point favorite. BYU plays their first game of the tourney today. They last played on March 9th and beat Oklahoma State, 85-71, as a 13.5-point favorite. That was a rebound win after losing at Iowa State the game before, 63-68, as a 7.5-point dog. The Cougars have been inconsistent of late, going 4-3 S/U and 5-2 ATS their last seven games. The Cougars are 3-6 S/U and ATS on the road this year and 3-1 S/U and ATS in neutral site games. UCF already played this BYU team close on the road once, I look for them to do it again here today. Take the points with UCF. |
|||||||
03-12-24 | Celtics v. Jazz OVER 229.5 | 123-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 9 m | Show
The Boston Celtics continue their West coast swing here tonight at Utah. The Celtics are cruising in the East conference with a 8.5 game lead over 2nd place Milwaukee. The Celtics had little difficulty last night in Portland, as they cruised to a 121-99 win over the Blazers as a 12-point favorite. That makes them 2-1 on this West Coast trip as they lost their opener at Denver, 109-115 then beat Phoenix, 117-107 and then their win last night. The Celtics are averaging 120.8 ppg and allowing 109.7 ppg. The Utah Jazz are 12th in the West, two spots out of the final postseason play-in spot. They are now 6-games back of the postseason and dropping fast as they are just 2-8 their last 10 games. They are coming off a loss at Denver, 121-142, as a 12.5-point dog. They have gone over in four straight games as they allow over 120 ppg on the season. The Jazz are also 17-13-1 O/U at home, mainly because they are scoring 123.2 ppg on their home court. I like this one to go over tonight as both teams should get plenty of points. Play OVER. |

03-12-24 | Wisc-Milwaukee +4.5 v. Oakland | Top | 76-83 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 59 m | Show |
Horizon League Championship Game here on Tuesday with Wisconsin Milwaukee taking on Oakland for the automatic NCAA bid. Wisconsin Milwaukee played last night and beat Northern Kentucky, 82-75, as a 1.5-point dog. The Panthers shot 45.9% from the field and 33.3% from the 3-point arc. They held N.Ky to just 391% from the field shooting. That makes six straight winners for the Panthers. They are also 3-1 ATS their last four games. The Oakland Golden Grizzlies are 22-11 now on the season after beating Cleveland State last night, 74-71, as a 3.5-point favorite. The Grizzlies have won three straight games and seven of their last eight. They are also 5-3 ATS in their last eight games. Even though they won last night, they were outshot 41.3% to 38.7%. What helped them was holding Cleveland State to just 18.8% from the 3-point arc. Even match here today for the Championship. I like the points in these kind of games and my own number has this game closer to a pick contest. Take Wisconsin Milwaukee. |

03-11-24 | Suns -6.5 v. Cavs | 117-111 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 6 m | Show
The Cleveland Cavaliers are 3rd in the Eastern Conference with a 41-23 record, just a half game back of second place Milwaukee. First place Boston is well out in front of the pack with an 8-game lead. Tonight, the Cavs will host the Phoenix Suns. The Cavs have been just fair of late, going 5-5 S/U and 3-7 ATS their last 10 games. In addition, the Cavs are 3-10 ATS their last 13 games. Now they are battling the injury bug. Guard Donavan Mitchell is expected to be out though officially he's listed as questionable. Evan Mobley and Max Strus also are both out. The loss of three starters will come into big play here tonight against a Phoenix team that has both Booker and Durant providing offensive power. The Suns had their two-game win streak snapped by Boston in the last game, 107-117. Still, they are a decent road team with a 16-13 S/U record. For me here tonight, it's the injuries to Cleveland that will have me taking the Suns in this game. Play Phoenix. |
|||||||
03-11-24 | East Tennessee State +10 v. Samford | Top | 69-76 | Win | 100 | 6 h 25 m | Show |
It's the SoCon Tournament Championship here tonight as East Tennessee State takes on Samford for that bid to the big dance. East Tenn St Buccaneers got here just barely with a win over Chattanooga on Sunday, 85-84. This will be the team's fourth game in row with wins over VMI, UNC Greensboro and then Chat. They are also 5-0 S/U and ATS in their last five games having covered vs Chat as a 5-point dog. The Samford Bulldogs got here with a win over Furman, 84-77. The Dogs got wins over Mercer and Furman to get here. They are 3-0 S/U and 2-1 ATS their last three games. Samford is 2-0 this season vs E.Tenn State winning the last game at home vs the Bucs, 87-71 as a 10.5-point favorite. Samford a huge 9.5-point favorite in this Championship game. I realize they have beaten E.Tenn two times this year, but beating a team three times in a row is tough. Plus E.Tenn has been hot winning five in a row. Samford likely to win this game, but E.Tenn has been playing with each team in the tourney thus far. I look for a much closer game then the odds are showing us here tonight. Take E.Tennessee State. |

03-10-24 | Bucks v. Clippers +5.5 | 124-117 | Loss | -112 | 4 h 6 m | Show
East vs West here today as the Milwaukee Bucks head to LA to face the Clippers. The Bucks are 3rd in the East with a 41-23 record. They are just a half game back of 2nd place Cleveland but 8.5-games back of leader Boston. The LA Clippers are 4th in the West with a 41-21 record. The Clippers are within 2.5 games of top seeded Oklahoma City. The Clippers have won two games in a row an four of their last five. The only loss coming at Milwaukee last Monday, 106-113, as a 1.5-point dog. The Clippers are 22-8 S/U and 16-14 ATS on the season. The Bucks are 41-23 S/U and 26-37-1 ATS on the season. The Bucks have lost two straight games on this road trip at Golden State and last game at the Lakers, 122-123. They are 16-16 S/U and 12-19-1 ATS on the road. I will take the Clippers as a home dog here on Sunday. |
|||||||
03-10-24 | Drake v. Indiana State -2.5 | Top | 84-80 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 4 m | Show |
Missouri Valley Championship Game from St Louis, MO has Indiana State taking on Drake for the Tourney Title and automatic NCAA bid. The Drake Bulldogs are 2-0 in the tourney thus far with wins over Evansville, 79-58 and then last game over Bradley yesterday, 72-67, as a 2-point favorite. That makes the Dogs on a four game win streak and 3-1 ATS streak. They are a combined 11-6 S/U and 8-9 ATS on the road and on neutral sites this year. The Indiana State Sycamores having a great season at 28-5 now after their two tourney wins over Missouri State, 75-59, and then last game yesterday over Northern Iowa, 94-72, as a 7.5-point favorite. The Sycamores are now 6-0 S/U and 4-1-1 ATS over their last six games. These teams have split the season matchups, with Indiana State winning at home on Feb 3, 75-67, and losing at Drake on Jan 10, 78-89. Now it's the rubber game but I like Indiana State in this one. Play Indiana State. |
|||||||
03-09-24 | UNLV +6.5 v. Nevada | 65-75 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 29 m | Show
A big Rivalry and Silver State battle as UNLV heads North to Reno to take on Nevada. Nevada is 3rd in the Mountain West with a 12-5 record, a half game back of Boise State and one game back of leader Utah State. UNLV is tied with Nevada at 12-5 as both teams can greatly improve their conf tourney seedings with a win here today. UNLV is 19-10 S/U and 18-9 ATS overall. They have been excellent on the road with a 7-2 S/U and ATS mark in nine games. The Runnin' Rebels have also been hot, winning five straight games both S/U and ATS including a home win over San Diego State in their last game, 62-58. Their last loss was actually at home to this Nevada team on Feb 17th, 66-69. So the Rebs will look to avenge that home loss here tonight. Nevada is 25-6 overall and 20-10 ATS on the season. They are 14-2 S/U and 9-6 ATS at home. The Wolfpack have also been hot, winning six straight games and going 5-1 ATS. The Rebels have lost just one of their last 11 games and that came to this Nevada team by just 3-points. The 6.5-point line looks awfully big for Nevada to cover as both teams play excellent defense. I'm taking the visitors in this one. Play UNLV. |
|||||||
03-09-24 | Connecticut v. Providence +9.5 | 74-60 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 0 m | Show
No 2 ranked U Conn hits the road to play Providence here today in their regular season finale. U Conn is 27-3 S/U and 19-11 ATS on the season. They are 7-3 S/U and 6-4 ATS on the road with all three of their losses coming away this year. The Huskies have won three straight games since their loss to Creighton. They are also 6-1 ATS in their last seven games. The Huskies have dominated the Big East conference with a 17-2 record with Creighton a distant second at 13-6. Despite what happens today, the Huskies are a lock for a No 1 seed in the NCAA. The question today is, do the Huskies have any real motivation to play. They have the conference locked up, they have a No 1 seed in the NCAA pretty much theirs. Providence is 19-11 overall and 17-12-1 ATS on the season. They are 14-3 S/U and 8-8-1 ATS at home. The Friars snapped a two-game losing streak with a win last time at Georgetown, 71-58, as a 8-point favorite. The are 4-1 S/U and 2-2 ATS their last four. Providence is in a three way tie for fifth in the Big East. A loss could see them drop as far as eighth. A loss could also mean playing this same U Conn team in the tournament next week. U Conn has little incentive in this game while Providence does. I look for a stellar effort today by the Friars on their home court. Play Providence. |
|||||||
03-09-24 | Mavs v. Pistons OVER 234 | 142-124 | Win | 100 | 7 h 11 m | Show
West vs East clash here today has the Dallas Mavericks heading to MoTown to take on the Detroit Pistons. Dallas is 8th right now in the West standings, meaning they have a postseason play-in spot right now. However, they are just two games back of 6th place Phoenix and that guaranteed playoff spot. With the Rockets now seven games back of the Mavs they only need to look forward at this point. Detroit hasn't been eliminated from the playoffs, but trailing 10th place Atlanta by 18.5-games means that today could be the day for that to happen. The Pistons are just 10-52 on the season and only Washington is worse with a 10-53 record. I'm looking at the OVER here today. The Mavs are 4-2 O/U their last six games. They average 118.7 ppg on the season and 116.9 ppg on the road. They are also a better over team on the road with a 17-11-1 O/U mark. Detroit has gone over in two straight games vs Miami and last game vs Brooklyn, 118-112. The Pistons give up a lot of points, 120.8 ppg overall and 119.2 ppg at home. I look for plenty of points out of both teams here tonight. Take the OVER. |
|||||||
03-09-24 | Bulls +7 v. Clippers | 102-112 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 11 m | Show
East vs West here early on the schedule as the Chicago Bulls head West to take on the LA Clippers. The Bulls hold onto the 9th spot in the standings, which means they have a Play-In spot right now in the postseason. The Bulls trail 6th place Miami by four games for that guaranteed playoff spot. The Clippers are 4th in the West with a 40-21 record. They are two games back of third place Denver and three games back of first place Oklahoma City. They also lead 7th place Sacramento by 4.5-games. The Bulls bring a 3-game win streak into today's contest and have covered two of those three. All three of those wins coming on this West road swing with wins over Sacramento, Utah and last game at Golden State, 125-122. The Bulls are also 17-14-1 ATS on the road with a -3-point differential. The Clippers rebounded from their loss at Milwaukee on Monday, 106-113, with a win at Houston, 122-116, as a 6.5-point favorite. They are 3-3 S/U their last six games and 2-6 ATS their last eight games. They return home after that three game road trip. The Clippers are around a 6-to-7 point favorite here tonight. I see these teams as very equal and will gladly take the points with the Bulls here tonight. |

03-09-24 | Kentucky +7.5 v. Tennessee | Top | 85-81 | Win | 100 | 4 h 60 m | Show |
SEC action here today as we get ready to head to the conference tournament. No 15 Kentucky is tied for second at 12-5 with South Carolina and Auburn. No 4 Tennessee holds the top spot in the conference at 14-3 overall. Kentucky has won four straight games and six of the last seven as they look to improve in the conference seeding. They are coming off a thumping of Vandy on their home court, 93-77. Tennessee has high hopes this postseason. HC Rick Barnes has been to the Final Four with Texas in 2003. However, at Tennessee has never gotten past the Sweet 16. The Vols bring a seven game win streak into today's contest, including their last game with a win over South Carolina, 66-59. This game will be the fast paced Kentucky team against a very good defensive Tennessee club. The first matchup between these clubs in Knoxville was a real shootout with Tennessee taking that game, 103-92. Kentucky needs this game to improve their seed while Tennessee already has the top spot in next week's tourney locked-up. For me, motivation looks to be on the visitor's side today. I'll take Kentucky plus the points. |
|||||||
03-08-24 | Boise State +8 v. San Diego State | 79-77 | Win | 100 | 10 h 39 m | Show
Mountain West Conference game here as the top of the conference standings are crowded and right now the tournament looks to go many ways. Utah State holds the top spot at 13-4, but three teams right behind them at 12-5 including Nevada, Boist and UNLV. Plus San Diego State is just a game back at 11-6. Still, for some reason Boise is a 7.5-point dog here tonight. My own lines have this game closer to -3 or -4. Boise had its five-game win streak snapped last time out by Nevada, 66-76, as a 6-point favorite. They are also 5-1 ATS their last six games. Boise averages 73.6 ppg on the road while allowing 70.1 ppg. They are also 6-3 S/U and 5-4 ATS on the road. The San Diego State Aztecs also coming off a loss at UNLV, 58-62, as a 2.5-point favorite. San Diego State is 14-0 S/U and 8-4 ATS at home this year. This looks to be a great matchup here tonight. I just believe the line is way too high on San Diego State. I'll take the points with Boise. |
|||||||
03-08-24 | Wolves v. Cavs -1 | 104-113 | Win | 100 | 7 h 18 m | Show
East vs West clash here today has Minnesota travelling to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers. The Cavs are 3rd in the East, just a half game back of 2nd place Milwaukee. Minnesota is the top team in the West, a half game ahead of Oklahoma City and one game ahead of Denver. The T'Wolves have won two straight game including last night at Indiana, 113-111 as a 1-point dog. The Wolves are 21-11 S/U and 17-13-2 ATS on the road as they play the 2nd of a back-to-back spot here tonight. The Wolves are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games. The Cavs are 40-22 S/U and 31-29-2 ATS on the season. They are coming off a loss on Wednesday at Atlanta, 101-112, as a 3-point dog. The Cavs are 20-11 S/U and 15-16 S/U at home this season. They are also one of the East teams that have done well vs the West, going 13-6 S/U and 10-9 ATS on the season. Cavs just a 1-point home favorite here tonight so we only need a straight-up win. I'll take the Cavaliers to just that tonight. Play Cleveland. |
|||||||
03-07-24 | Spurs v. Kings -10.5 | 129-131 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 48 m | Show
A pair of Western Conference teams meet here on Thursday. The Sacramento Kings are 7th right now in the West. That's important since seed 7 thru 10 make the postseason but have to go to the Play-In Round. The Kings are just a half game back of Phoenix for that guaranteed 6th place and 1.5-games back of 5th place New Orleans. As for San Antonio, sorry, no postseason for you as you are the worst team in the West. The Spurs are just 13-49 on the season with a 29-32-1 spread mark. The Spurs are coming off a loss at Houston, 101-114, as a 7.5-point dog. The Spurs are 6-28 S/U and 16-18 ATS on the road. The Kings are coming off a win on the road at the Lakers, 130-120, as a 2.5-point dog. The Kings trailed by nine points after the first quarter but then outscored the Lakers by 24 points in the 2nd quarter on their way to the win last night. That makes the Kings 5-3 S/U and 4-4 ATS in their last eight games. Kings need wins over these bad teams if they want to get one of those guaranteed playoff spots. Take Sacramento. |
|||||||
03-07-24 | Pacific v. Pepperdine -9.5 | 43-102 | Win | 100 | 5 h 9 m | Show
West Coast Conference Tourney action here on Thursday as this conference tourney begins their opening round. Pacific is the last seed in the conference and will take on 7th seed Pepperdine. The Pacific Tigers are just 6-25 on the season and did not win a single conference game as they went 0-16. You have to go all the way back to December 30th for the last time the Tigers won a game and that was against Cal Maritime, 80-66. This team also doesn't cover spreads, going 4-12 in their last 16 games. The Pepperdine Waves are 12-19 S/U and 12-17 ATS on the season. They are 2-2 both S/U and ATS in their last four games. One of those was a win and cover over Pacific, 89-70. They swept the season series with Pacific, taking the first meeting too back on Jan 11th, 93-78. Looks like another blowout win here in Vegas tonight for the Waves. Take Pepperdine. |
|||||||
03-06-24 | Thunder -13 v. Blazers | 128-120 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 22 m | Show
The Oklahoma City Thunder are 2nd in the West, just a half game back of the Timberwolves. They have a 42-19 overall record and 38-22-1 spread mark. They look to rebound after a thrashing they took at the Lakers in their last game, 104-116, as a 1.5-point favorite. The final score was closer then what the game was most of the second half. Still, the Thunder are 7-2 S/U and ATS in their last nine games. They are also 18-13 S/U and 17-13-1 ATS on the road. The Portland Trailblazers won't be in the postseason as they sit next to last in the West, 15-games out of the last playoff spot. Portland is 17-43 S/U and 27-31-2 ATS on the season. After a nine game losing streak S/U and 2-7 ATS mark, the Blazers have won two of their last three games S/U and are 3-0 ATS. They lost at Minnesota their last game, 114-119, but covered the 14-point dog line. However, two of those wins were over Memphis which is just one spot higher in the standing then Portland. The Blazers are 9-20 S/U and 10-18-1 ATS at home. I'm taking the Thunder here tonight as they drive for the Conference crown. |
|||||||
03-06-24 | Bucks v. Warriors -3.5 | 90-125 | Win | 100 | 9 h 22 m | Show
The Milwaukee Bucks make the trip out West and will play Golden State here today. The Warriors are holding onto that last postseason spot as they are 10th. They do have a comfortable lead though as Utah is now 5-games back. However, they can improve their play-in spot as they are just a half game back of the Lakers, one game back of Dallas and two games back of Sacramento. Moreover, a Guaranteed playoff spot is just 3-games back of Phoenix. The Warriors are coming off and embarrassing loss at Boston, 88-140. Golden State will look to rebound here tonight as they have to atone for that thumping they took last game. The Milwaukee Bucks are 2nd in the East, 7.5-games back of the Celtics. They are just a half game ahead of the Cavs for third place. The Bucks are 6-0 S/U and 5-0-1 ATS in their last six games. They are also 16-14 S/U and 12-17-1 ATS on the road. They haven't done well vs the West, at least as far as the spread goes with a 7-13 record this year. For me, Golden State will be at their best tonight as they look to atone for that loss at Boston. Even with Milwaukee on a six game win streak I'm taking the Warriors in this one. |
|||||||
03-06-24 | Loyola-Chicago +1.5 v. Davidson | 69-59 | Win | 100 | 6 h 13 m | Show
Atlantic 10 clash here on Wednesday has 2nd place Loyola Chicago Ramblers taking on Davidson. Loyola is 13-3 in the conference, one game back of leader Richmond. Meanwhile, Davidson is near the bottom of the pack with a 5-11 conference record. Loyola is 21-8 overall and has won eight of the last nine games and 11 of the last 13. They are also 8-1 ATS their last nine. Their only loss during that span was at St Bonny's, 64-79, as a 3-point dog. Loyola is also 6-4 S/U and ATS on the road this year. Davidson is 15-14 overall and looks to snap a 3-game losing streak here tonight. They are coming off a loss at home to U Mass, 67-69, as a 1-point favorite. The Wildcats are 9-6 S/U and 5-8 ATS at home this year. I look for Davidson to struggle both offensively here tonight and on the boards. I'm going to take Loyola, which is the better team all around. |
|||||||
03-05-24 | Celtics v. Cavs +8 | 104-105 | Win | 100 | 7 h 15 m | Show
The Boston Celtics are coming off a "Statement" game vs Golden State where they beat the Warriors by 52-points, 140-88. That was the Celtics 11th win in row and their 6th cover in a row. Now they have to hit the road to Cleveland. The Cavs are having a fine season with a 39-21 record. They are coming off a loss to the NY Knicks, 98-107, as a 4-point favorite. They Cavs are 19-11 S/U and 14-16 ATS at home. I'm looking past all the streaks and stats in this game. I'm looking for a Boston letdown here today. Cavs in the perfect spot for an upset win or at least the cover as a big home dog. Play Cleveland. |
|||||||
03-05-24 | Queens NC v. Stetson -5 | 71-83 | Win | 100 | 7 h 47 m | Show
The Queens Royals played last night and defeated Florida Gulf Coast, 69-63 as a 3.5-point dog. The Royals have won two straight and four of their last five both S/U and ATS. Queens does average 80.7 ppg but allows 82.2 ppg on the season. The Stetson Hatters have won eight of the last 11 games. Stetson averages 76.5 ppg while allowing 71.8 ppg. Stetson is 11-2 S/U and 5-5 ATS at home this season with a +17.6 point differential. This is a home game for Stetson and they get the 4-days rest while Queens had to play last night. I'll take Stetson here tonight. |
|||||||
03-05-24 | Jacksonville v. Eastern Kentucky -8.5 | 67-65 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 46 m | Show
Quarterfinals of the ASUN Tournament here today from Richmond, KY. Jacksonville had to play last night and defeated Kennesaw State, 92-86 as a small dog. The Dolphins had lost four of their previous five games. They average 70.8 ppg while allowing 71.7 ppg this season. The Eastern KY Colonels are 17-13 on the season and coming off a loss at Lipscomb, 67-81. They led at the half but were destroyed in the second half of that game getting outscored 29-51. The Colonels average 81.3 ppg and allow 76.8 ppg. Eastern is the No 1 seed in the conference tournament. I expect a high scoring game here tonight but will side with Eastern Kentucky in this one. |
|||||||
03-05-24 | Purdue v. Illinois -2 | 77-71 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 46 m | Show
A pair of Big 10 Powerhouses and ranked teams meet here tonight as No 12 Illinois hosts No 3 Purdue. The Purdue Boilermakers won the matchup in January, 83-78. Purdue should secure a No 1 seed in the NCAA's. They already have a share of the Big 10 regular season title. They can take the title with a win tonight. Illinois has won three straight games, five of the last six and eight of the last 10. Illinois is 15-2 S/U at home and tonight they need little more than to beat Purdue outright. Illinois gave Purdue all it could handle in the first matchup, losing by just five points. This should be another wild game, but I'm taking Illinois in this one. |
|||||||
03-05-24 | Alabama v. Florida -1.5 | 87-105 | Win | 100 | 7 h 46 m | Show
SEC action here today has No 16 Alabama taking on Florida. These teams met just a few weeks ago in Tuscaloosa where Alabama had to go to OT to beat the Gators, 98-93. Alabama is 12-4 in conference and tied with S.Carolina for second place behind 13-3 Tennessee. Florida is 10-6 in conference and 6th place. Alabama has dropped two of its last three games, including that big loss to Tennessee. The Tide have one of the best offenses, averaging over 90 ppg, but it's their defense that isn't good, ranked an SEC-worst wit 79.3 ppg. Moreover, the Tide allow 88.6 ppg on the road. The Gators should make the NCAA with an at large bid. They are 31st in the Kenpom rankings. Florida with the edge at home here today. The Gators offense against the bad Alabama defense should keep them in this game. Take Florida. |
|||||||
03-04-24 | Bulls v. Kings -6.5 | 113-109 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 32 m | Show
East vs West here tonight as the Sacramento Kings host the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are 9th in the East, two games ahead of 10 place Atlanta and four games ahead of dropping out of the Postseason. The Kings are 6th in the West, tied with the Suns for that final guaranteed playoff spot. Both teams are just one game ahead of the Mavs. 6th place is important because if you fall below that you have to go to the play-in round. The Bulls are coming off a loss to Milwaukee, 97-113, as a 4.5-point dog. They are 5-6 S/U and 6-5 ATS their last 11 games. The Bulls are 12-17 S/U and 15-13-1 ATS on the road with a -3.8 point differential. They are only 5-16 S/U and 10-11 ATS as an away dog. The Kings are coming off a win at Minnesota, 124-120, as a 6.5-point dog. They are 4-2 S/U and 3-3 ATS their last six games. They are also 16-10 S/U and 11-15 ATS at home. Always tough for those East teams to come out to the West Coast. I'm going to take the Kings in this game tonight. |
|||||||
03-04-24 | Grizzlies v. Nets UNDER 206.5 | 106-102 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 3 m | Show
The Brooklyn Nets are fighting for a postseason spot and right now they are out of the picture. They are 11th in the East, two games back of Atlanta for that final spot. The Nets have won three of their last four games. But tonight I'm looking at their totals. The Nets have gone under in six of their last seven games. They are also 26-34 O/U overall on the season and 10-17 O/U onthe road. The Memphis Grizzlies won't make the playoffs this year. They are 13th in the West, 10.5-games back of the final spot. They have also lost five straight games after dropping two in a row to Portland. They have gone under in four of their last six games. The Grizzlies are also 26-35 O/U on the season. The Grizzlies have scored 100 points or fewer in four of their last five games. With Ja Morant out for the season, this team struggles to find points. I don't play many games under the total, but I will here tonight with these two teams. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
03-03-24 | Pacers -6.5 v. Spurs | 105-117 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 43 m | Show
It's East versus West today in the NBA as the Indiana Pacers take on the San Antonio Spurs. The Pacers are eighth in the East with a 34-27 record. More importantly, this game is important to them because they sit just a half game back of sixth place Miami. Sixth place and above means no play-in game for the postseason. It's very tight race in the East because Philadelphia, Miami, Orlando and the Pacers are all within one game of each other in the standings. The San Antonio Spurs having a pretty bad season as they sit last in the West at 12-48 on the season. The Pacers looking to rebound from their loss at New Orleans 102-129 as a 5 and 1/2 point underdog. The Pacers have done well recently winning four of the last six games straight up and three of their last five against the spread. The Pacers are 13-15 on the road and 14-14 against the spread. The San Antonio Spurs, well they've just had a poor season but they are coming off a win at home over Oklahoma City 132-118 as an 11 point underdog. That snapped a five game losing streak by the Spurs. Still they've won just two games in the last 14. The Spurs are 6-21 straight up at home and 12-14-1 against the spread. They have a minus 5.8 point differential at home this season. I'm going to take the Pacers on the road here today against a very bad San Antonio club, especially with the Pacers in this hot playoff positioning. They can use every game they can win. Take the Pacers |

03-03-24 | Rutgers v. Nebraska -8 | 56-67 | Win | 100 | 8 h 30 m | Show
Big 10 action here on Sunday has Nebraska taking on Rutgers. Nebraska having a decent season as they sit fourth in the Big 10 with a 10-8 record and an overall mark of 20-9. They look to be one of those teams on the bubble this year so every win is important and that means today's game for Nebraska. Rutgers coming in around the latter half of the pack with a 7-10 conference mark and a 15-13 overall record. Rutgers is coming off a win against lowly Michigan 82-52 as a seven and a half point favorite. That snapped a three-game straight up and spread losing streak by the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers is just 3-7 straight up and 4-6 against a spread on the road with a minus 9.2 point differential. Nebraska had its four game winning streak snapped last time out at Ohio State losing 69-78 as a 2.5 underdog. The Corn Huskers have won four of their last five games both straight up and against the spread. Nebraska is 17-1 at home and 14-4 against the spread with a + 13.8 point differential. They are one of the better covering teams this season at home and I look for that dominance to continue here today against Rutgers. Take Nebraska. |

03-03-24 | Michigan v. Ohio State -11 | 61-84 | Win | 100 | 6 h 59 m | Show
Big 10 action here today on Sunday has Michigan taking on Ohio State. Neither of these teams are battling for the conference lead but they are looking for maybe a little better positioning, though Michigan is in last place in the conference with a 3-15 record and an overall mark of 8-21. Ohio State comes in a couple rings higher on the ladder at 7-11 in conference and 17-12 overall. It's been a rough season for Michigan having lost 16 games of their last 18 overall they don't do any better for the bettors as they've covered just three of those 20 games. Michigan is 2-8 straight up and against the spread on the road with a -12.8 point differential. Ohio State has won two straight games including last time out over Nebraska 78-69 as a two and a half point favorite and they have won three of their last four games and covered five of their last six games. The buckeyes are 12-4 straight up at home and 6-9-1 against the spread they have a plus 9.1 point differential on their home court. I look for a domination today as Ohio State puts Michigan away. Take Ohio State |

03-02-24 | Gonzaga v. St. Mary's -2 | Top | 70-57 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 55 m | Show |
The top two teams in the West Coast conference will face off tonight as top seeded St Mary's will face Gonzaga. St Mary's is a perfect 15-0 in conference play and 24-6 overall. They hold a two-game lead over Gonzaga which is 13-2 in conference and 23-6 overall. St Mary's is 16-13 ATS while Gonzaga is 13-5 ATS. Gonzaga has won seven straight games and 12 of their last 13. They're only lose coming against today's opponent, St Mary's. They lost to St Mary's back on February 3rd 62-64 as a 4 and 1/2 point favorite. St Mary's comes into this game on a 16-game winning streak. The Gaels have also covered six of their last seven and 10 of their last 13 overall games. St Mary's is 14-3 straight up at home and 9-7 against the spread. While Gonzaga has a little revenge factor on their side here tonight I'm still going to side with the home team in this one and take St Mary's. |

03-02-24 | Marquette v. Creighton -6 | 75-89 | Win | 100 | 3 h 14 m | Show
Big East conference showdown today between Creighton and Marquette two of the top three teams in the conference. Second place Marquette is 13-4 in conference play and 22-6 overall. Marquette is 8-5 on the road and 17-11 against the spread this year. Creighton is third in the conference with a 12-6 record and a 21-8 overall record. These teams last met on December 30th at Marquette with Marquette taking that game 72-67 as a 4-point favorite and just covering the spread. I'm taking Creighton today to get revenge for that loss. Take Creighton |

03-02-24 | Illinois +3 v. Wisconsin | 91-83 | Win | 100 | 11 h 21 m | Show
Big 10 battle here on Saturday has Illinois taking on Wisconsin. Illinois is 12-5 in conference play and 21-7 overall on the season. They are also 15-2 at home and 6-5 on the road. The Illini are 15-11-2 versus the spread. Illinois is also second in the Big 10 behind Purdue. Fourth place Wisconsin is 10-7 in conference and 18-10 overall. They are 12-16 versus the spread. They have also covered three of their last five. The Illini are 4-5 straight up on the road and 6-3 versus the spread. The Wisconsin Badgers have had a hard time covering spreads. They have been slumping also going just two and six in their last eight games. They have also gone 0-8 in their last eight games versus the spread. They play at home where they are 13-2 straight up and 8-7 versus the spread. I'm going to go against the slumping Wisconsin Badgers here today. Take Illinois |
|||||||
03-02-24 | Tulsa v. Temple -5.5 | 72-67 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 20 m | Show
American Athletic conference clash here on Saturday has Temple hosting Tulsa. Both teams near the bottom of the conference has Tulsa 5-11 in conference and 14-14 overall. Temple is for 4-11 in conference and 11-17 overall. Tulsa is coming off a loss at Texas San Antonio 73 to 89 as a two and a half point underdog. That makes them two and six straight up and against the spread their last eight games. On the road Tulsa is just one and nine straight up and 1-8-1 against the spread with a -13.8 point differential. The Temple Owls have won three straight games and they've covered five of their last six. They are coming off a win at Rice 65-43 as a 5-point underdog. The owls are five and seven at home straight up and six and five against the spread. These are two teams that likely won't go very far in the tournament. But tonight I like Temple minus the points. |
|||||||
03-01-24 | Kings v. Wolves -6.5 | 124-120 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 11 m | Show
The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken over 1st place in the Western Conference, leading Oklahoma City by one game and Denver by 1.5-games. Sacramento is 8th and looks to have a solid hold on one of the play-in spots. However, they are just one game back of 6th place New Orleans, the last spot in the guaranteed playoffs without a play-in. The Kings have lost two straight games, both S/U and ATS. They are coming off a loss at Denver, 96-117, as a 7.5-point dog. That makes the Kings 3-4 S/U and 2-5 ATS their last seven games. They Kings are 7-10 and 10-7 ATS as an away dog this season. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves come into this game riding a three game win streak. They have also won 7-1 S/U and 5-3 ATS their last eight games. The Wolves are now 22-6 S/U and 14-13-1 ATS at home this season. I'll lay the points at home with the best team in the West tonight. Take Minnesota. |

The Marist Red Foxes are 15-10 overall and coming off a loss at St Peters, 60-69, as a 3.5-point dog. The Foxes are 5-1 S/U and 4-2 ATS their last six games. They are also 7-3 S/U and 6-4 ATS their last 10 games. These teams met at Fairfield back on Jan 7th with the Stags taking a blowout win, 82-61, as a 1.5-point favorite. Marist is a 1-point favorite here tonight. I'm taking the top team in the conference to sweep the series. Play Fairfield. |
|||||||
02-29-24 | Wizards v. Lakers -9 | 131-134 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 21 m | Show
The LA Lakers playing the 2nd of a back-to-back spot here on Thursday. Normally I avoid these situations, but against a weak team like Washington they should have little issue. That Lakers didn't need to travel at all either since the played the Clippers last night. The Lakers made a massive comeback last night as they rallied from 21-points down to beat the Clipper behind Lebron's 34-points. The Lakers are 9th in the West, just a half game ahead of 10th place Golden State. The Jazz are six-games back in 11th place. Only the top 10 teams make the postseason. Washington is tied for last in the East with Detroit with just nine wins and 49 losses. The Wizards have lost 12 straight games and are 5-7 ATS during that losing streak. The Lakers are 8-3 S/U and 6-5 ATS their last 11 games. The Lakers are 19-9 S/U and 13-14-1 ATS at home. Lakers don't want to fall in the playoff picture and today's team is the perfect opponent after a big win last night. Play the Lakers. |
|||||||
02-29-24 | USC v. Washington State -7 | Top | 72-75 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 11 m | Show |
PAC-12 clash here today has 2nd place Washington State taking on USC which is at the bottom of the conference. Washington State is 12-5 in conference and a half game back of Arizona. The Cougars are 21-7 overall and 15-12-1 ATS on the season. USC is 5-11 in the PAC-12 with a 11-16 overall record and 12-15 ATS mark. The Trojans coming off a win over their intercity rivals, UCLA, 62-56 as a 4.5-point dog. That was only their third win in their last 12 games. They are also 3-6 ATS in their last nine games. USC is 2-8 S/U and 4-6 ATS on the road with a -9.1 point differential. Washington State looks to rebound after their loss at Arizona State, 61-73, as a 5-point favorite. They had a bit of a letdown in that game after a big win at Arizona two days earlier, 77-74. Still, the Cougars are 8-1 S/U and 7-2 ATS their last nine games. Washington State is 13-1 S/U and 8-6 ATS at home with a +16.1 point differential. Cougars won't let down here tonight. First they will want to rebound from that costly loss last game and second they are just a half game back for the PAC-12 regular season crown and top seed. Take Washington State tonight. |
|||||||
02-29-24 | Rockets v. Suns -8.5 | 105-110 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 51 m | Show
Western Conference matchup here today has 5th place Phoenix Suns taking on the 12th place Houston Rockets. The Suns are tied with the Pelicans for a playoff spot, but just a half game ahead of Dallas for 7th place, which drops them into the Play-In category. Phoenix will need to win these games like today to avoid that 7th spot and get the automatic playoff spot. Houston is now 5.5-games back of the last play-in spot as they are fading fast. The Rockets have lost two straight games both S/U and ATS, both to the OKC Thunder. They are also 3-9 S/U and 4-8 ATS their last 12 games. The Rockets are 5-23 S/U and 9-19 ATS on the road this year. The Suns snapped a two-game losing streak with a win at home over the Lakers in their last game, 123-113 as a 3.5-point favorite. The Suns are 8-4 S/U and ATS in their last 12 games. They are 19-11 S/U and 12-17-1 ATS at home this year. Suns can ill afford to lose these type of games. I look for them to be focused here tonight. Play Phoenix. |
|||||||
02-28-24 | South Carolina +5.5 v. Texas A&M | 70-68 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show
SEC action tonight has South Carolina visiting College Station to take on Texas A&M. South Carolina is 3rd in the conference behind Tennessee and Alabama as they sit at 10-4 in the conference and 22-5 overall. They are also 18-8-1 ATS on the season. Texas A&M is near the bottom of the conference with a 6-8 mark, 15-12 overall record and 11-16 ATS mark. The South Carolina Gamecocks snapped a two-game losing streak with a win at Ole Miss last time out, 72-59, as a 3.5-point dog. They are playing well though with a 8-2 S/U and 7-3 ATS mark their last 10 games. The Gamecocks are also 10-4 S/U and 9-5 ATS in conference play and 6-3 S/U and 7-2 ATS on the road this year. The A&M Aggies bring a four game losing streak into this game both S/U and ATS. They are coming off a blowout loss at Tennessee, 51-86, as a 11-point dog. The Aggies are 9-4 S/U and 4-9 ATS at home this year. Not sure how the Aggies are a 5-point favorite here tonight. I like South Carolina and won't be surprised by a straight up win either. Play South Carolina. |
|||||||
02-28-24 | Grizzlies v. Wolves -12 | 101-110 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 48 m | Show
Western Conference clash has the 1st place Minnesota Timberwolves hosting the 13th place Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies will not make the post season, especially when they lost guard Ja Morant in the 1st half of the season. The Grizzlies are 9.5-games back of the final playoff spot. They have lost two straight games and 11 of their last 13 games. They are also 6-6 ATS their last 12 games. The Grizzlies have actually been a better road team then home team, posting a 13-16 away record and 16-13 ATS mark. Still, it will be a tall order tonight against the best team in the West. The T'Wolves have won two straight games and nine of their last 12 games. They are also 8-4 ATS their last 12. They are 21-6 S/U and 14-12-1 ATS at home this year. Minnesota should have little issues tonight against an undermanned Memphis club. Play the Timberwolves. |
|||||||
02-28-24 | Wichita State +8.5 v. UAB | 74-66 | Win | 100 | 8 h 35 m | Show
American Athletic Conference matchup here tonight has UAB taking on Wichita State. UAB is fourth in the AAC with a 10-4 record and 18-9 overall record. Wichita is 3-12 in confere3nce and 11-17 overall. Wichita State is coming off a loss to Temple, 66-72, after a win over Tulsa, 79-63. The Shockers have covered three of their last six on the road. UAB is coming off a win at Tulane, 78-67, as a 2.5-point dog. The Green Wave have won five of their last six games. The Green Wave are about 8-point favorites here tonight. And, while on paper they are the better team with better talent, these late conference games sometimes have little meaning to teams. That is the case for UAB here tonight as they can't catch conference leader South Florida which is 14-1 in conference play. UAB will conserve its energy for the tournament grueling schedule. Take the points with Wichita State tonight. |
|||||||
02-28-24 | IUPU Ft Wayne v. Wright State -5.5 | Top | 79-77 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 39 m | Show |
Horizon League action here tonight has Wright State hosting IPFW. Wright State is 3rd in the conference with a 12-6 mark, overall record of 17-12 and a 13-14 spread record. IP-Fort Wayne is 9-9 and near the bottom of the conference standings. They are also 18-11 overall and 14-12-1 ATS. The Fort Wayne Mastodons are coming off a loss at Wisc-Milwaukee, 88-96, as a 1-point dog. They are 4-4 S/U and ATS their last eight games. The Mastodons are 7-6 S/U and 7-5-1 ATS on the road this year. They are 4-5 S/U and 4-4-1 ATS as a road dog. The Wright State Raiders are coming off a big win over Oakland, 96-75, as a 4.5-poing road dog. That makes three straight wins both S/U and ATS for the Raiders. Moreover, they have scored at least 93 points in each of those three blowout wins. Wright State is also 8-2 S/U and 6-4 ATS their last 10 games. The Raiders flexing their offensive might the last three games, ranking them 5th nationally in scoring with a 86.2 average. They also lead the Horizon league in field goal percentage and are very good from the free throw line. I don't believe that IPFW will be able to contain this excellent offensive Wright State attack tonight. Play Wright State. |
|||||||
02-27-24 | Nevada +7.5 v. Colorado State | 77-74 | Win | 100 | 11 h 31 m | Show
Mountain West clash here tonight has Colorado State hosting Nevada in Fort Collins. Nevada is fourth in the conference with a 9-5 record and 22-6 overall mark. Colorado State is 7th in the conference with a 8-7 record and 20-8 overall mark. The Nevada Wolfpack have been on a roll, winning and covering their last three games and six of the last seven games. They have done well on the road too with a 6-3 S/U and ATS record with a +1.7 point differential. Colorado State Rams look to snap a two-game losing streak tonight. They are coming off a loss at UNLV, 60-66, as a pick. They have covered six of their last eight games. They are 14-1 S/U and 8-5 ATS at home this year. These teams met in Reno back on Jan 24th with Nevada taking that game, 77-64, as a 3.5-point favorite. Colorado State laying around 7 or 7.5-points here tonight. The way Nevada plays on the road that is too many points. I look for this game to come down to the wire. I'll take the generous points with Nevada. |
|||||||
02-27-24 | Rockets v. Thunder -9.5 | 95-112 | Win | 100 | 10 h 59 m | Show
These clubs play the second of a back-to-back series here on Tuesday. The teams met at OKC on Sunday with the Thunder pulling away in the 2nd half for a easy win and cover, 123-110, as a 6.5-point favorite. Now they are up to 10-points tonight as the oddsmaker adjust after that game. The Rockets are dropping fast in the West, sitting 12th and now 4.5 games out of the last playoff spot. The Thunder are now tied for the top spot in the West with Milwaukee, both teams 40-17. The Rockets are 2-7 S/U and 3-6 ATS in their last nine games. They are 5-22 S/U and 9-18 ATS on the road. OKC has won and covered its last five games. The Thunder are now 23-6 S/U and 20-9 ATS at home with a +11.6 point differential. Even with the oddsmaker adjustment, I look for another Thunder blowout. Play OKC. |
|||||||

Syracuse is right in the middle with a 9-8 record and 18-10 overall mark. VT Hokies are coming off a loss at Pittsburgh, 64-79, as a 3-point dog. That makes the Hokies 2-5 S/U and ATS their last seven games. Tech has covered just once on the road all season and that came vs NC State back on Jan 10th. They are 1-8 S/U and ATS away from home this year. Syracuse has won two straight games, including last game at home over Notre Dame, 88-85 as a 7.5-point favorite. They are 13-2 S/U and 7-8 ATS at home this year with a +6.2 point differential. I like Syracuse here tonight at home. I'll lay the points with the Orange. |
|||||||
02-27-24 | Miami-OH v. Bowling Green -3.5 | 66-58 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 60 m | Show
Mid-American conference clash today has a East showdown between Miami-Ohio and Bowling Green. Miami is 7-7 and in fourth in the East with a 13-14 overall record and 4-10 road mark. Bowling Green is 3rd in the East with a 8-6 mark and overall record of 17-10. Miami comes into this game off a home win over Central Michigan, 88-60, as 3-point favorites. The Bowling Green Falcons snapped a 3-game losing streak with a win over Toledo last game, 76-68, as a 4.5-point dog. The Falcons are 11-3 S/U and 6-6 ATS at home with a +9.5-point differential. The first matchup between these teams at Miami ended with a Red-Hawks loss, 73-78, as a pick'em. I'm taking Bowling Green to sweep the season season. Play Bowling Green. |
|||||||
02-26-24 | Heat +6.5 v. Kings | 121-110 | Win | 100 | 11 h 27 m | Show
It's East vs West tonight as the Miami Heat take on the Kings from Sacramento. The Heat are 7th in the East with a 31-25 record. They are just 2.5-games back of 4th place so every game is big. The Sacramento Kings are 5th in the West with a 33-23 record. They are 6.5-games back of first place Minnesota. However, they are also tied with Phoenix and New Orleans and Dallas is just one game back. This is important since if you fall out of the top six then you have to go to the play-in round. The Heat have been playing very well, winning three straight games and seven of their last nine games. They are also 8-1 ATS their last nine games. The Heat are also 16-12 S/U and 14-12-2 ATS on the road. The Kings bring a three-game win streak into this game tonight. They are coming off a win at the Clippers, 123-107, as a 5-point dog. The Kings are 16-9 S/U and 11-14 ATS at home with just a +1.2 point differential. The Kings are about a 7-point chalk here tonight. I look for this to be a very close game and the Heat to get in under the number. Play Miami. |
|||||||
02-26-24 | Baylor v. TCU -2 | 62-54 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 18 m | Show
Big 12 clash here today as TCU hosts Baylor. Both these teams are tied at 8-6 in the conference for fourth place. Both teams also have an overall record of 19-8. The Baylor Bears look to snap a two-game losing streak here tonight. They are coming off a loss to BYU, 71-78, and then last game at home to Houston, 76-82, as a 2.5-point dog. The Bears are 5-6 S/U and 5-5-1 ATS in their last 11 games. The Bears are also 3-4 S/U and 5-2 ATS on the road with a 0-4 S/U and 2-2 ATS mark as a road dog. TCU Horned Frogs are coming off a home win over Cincinnati, 75-57, as a 5.5-point favorite. That made them 3-1 S/U and 4-0 ATS in their last four games. They are also 6-3 S/U and 7-2 ATS their last nine games. The Frogs are 12-2 S/U and 9-5 ATS at home this year. TCU just a 2.5-point favorite which really means they need little more than to win the game. TCU has been tough at home and Baylor has not won many games outright on the road. I'll take TCU tonight. |
|||||||
02-25-24 | Thunder -6 v. Rockets | 123-110 | Win | 100 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Western Conference clash here today has Oklahoma City traveling to Houston to take on the Rockets. The OKC Thunder are 2nd in the West with a 39-17 record and just a half game back of the T'Wolves for the best record. No such luck for the Rockets who sit 12th, two spots back of the last playoff spot. The Rockets are fading fast having lost seven of their last 10 games and now 4.5-games back of the Warriors. The Thunder are having a great season and come into today's contest with a four game winning streak both S/U and ATS. They have been good on the road with a 16-11 S/U and 15-11-1 ATS mark and +4.3 point differential. The Rockets are coming off a win at home over Phoenix last game, 114-110, as a 3.5-point dog. However, that was just their 2nd win in their last seven games. They are also 3-5 ATS in their last eight games. The Rockets are fighting to get into the playoff picture, but that is fading fast. The Thunder are rolling and could take over 1st place today with a win and Bucks loss. Take Oklahoma City. |
|||||||
02-25-24 | Minnesota v. Nebraska -6.5 | 55-73 | Win | 100 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Big 10 clash here on Sunday has Nebraska hosting Minnesota. Minnesota is 7th in the Big 10 with a 8-7 record, 17-9 overall mark and 23-3 spread record. They have been a great covering team this year. Two of those non-cover games have come away from home where the Golden Gophers are 2-6 S/U and 6-2 ATS. They are coming off a couple of home wins over Rutgers and Ohio State after two road losses to Purdue and Iowa. Nebraska has won and covered three straight games, including last game out vs Indiana, 85-70, as a 1.5-point dog. The Huskers have also covered well, doing so in five of their last six games and seven of the last 10. Nebraska is 16-1 S/U and 13-4 ATS at home with a +13.8 point differential. Both teams are very good at covering the spread but Minnesota has missed some on the road. Nebraska is a dominant home team and that's where they are today. Play Nebraska. |

Xavier is in the latter half of the conference standings with a 7-8 Big East mark and 13-13 overall record with a 14-11-1 ATS record. The Xavier Musketeers bring a three game losing streak both S/U and ATS into today's contest. They are coming off a loss to Providence, 75-79, as a 5-point home favorite. They are 2-6 S/U and 5-3 ATS on the road this year. The Marquette Golden Eagles are coming off a win vs Depaul, 105-71, as a 27.5-point favorite. They have now won nine of their last 10 games and are 7-2 ATS during that span. The Eagles are 12-1 S/U and 9-4 ATS at home with a +18.3 point differential. The Eagles should have little issue today as these last few regular season games are big if they want to be the best of the Big East. Play Marquette. |

VCU had it's four game win streak snapped last game at U Mass, 52-74, as a 2-point dog. Still, the Rams are 9-2 S/U and ATS in their last 11 games. They are also 9-4 S/U and ATS vs other A-10 teams. VCU is trying to improve its position in the conference for the tournament and today is a game they should take. Play VCU. |

Tennessee is 2nd in the conference, one game back of Alabama with a 10-3 conference, 20-6 overall and 12-14 ATS records. The A&M Aggies look to snap a three game losing streak both S/U and ATS here tonight. They are coming off a loss at home to Arkansas, 71-78, as a 11.5-point favorite. They have shot horribly their last game, hitting just 33% vs Arkansas. The Razorbacks are 4-5 S/U and ATS on the road this year. The Tennessee Volunteers have won three straight games and five of their last six. They are coming off a road win at Missouri, 72-67, as a 12-point favorite. Tennessee is 12-1 S/U and 8-5 ATS at home with a +21.3 point differential. Tennessee still with a shot at the top spot to finish the regular season so I don't see them letting down at all this year. Play Tennessee. |

Neither team will win the regular season conference crown but both look to improve their seeding heading into the conference tournament. I'll take Belmont to repay their earlier loss to Missouri State this month. Play Belmont. This will be the second meeting between these teams with Missouri State winning on its home court back on Feb 3, 87-80, as a 6-point favorite. |
|||||||

U Mass is 8-6 in conference, 17-9 overall and 16-10 ATS. The Minutemen are 5th in the conference with St Bonny's three slots back. St Bonny's looks to rebound from its loss at Lasalle last game, 59-72, as a 5.5-point favorite. That makes them 3-3 S/U and ATS in their last six games. They are also 4-5 S/U and 5-4 ATS on the road. The Minutemen are coming off a home win vs VCU, 74-52, as a 2-point favorite. They are 12-2 S/U and 9-5 ATS at home this year with a +12.7 point differential. I'll take U Mass here today and lay the points. |

02-23-24 | Fairfield v. Quinnipiac -2.5 | Top | 85-81 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
Metro Atlantic conference clash here today has the top team in the conference, Quinnipiac, taking on 2nd place Fairfield. Fairfield Stags are 10-5 in conference and 16-10 overall. They trail Quinnipiac by 1.5-games right now. They are also 11-14 ATS on the season. Quinnipiac is 11-3 in conference and 19-6 overall and 14-8-2 vs the spread. The Stags are coming off a win over Mount St Mary's, 94-80, as a 4.5-point favorite. That makes them 4-1 S/U and 2-3 ATS in their last five games. Moreover, they are just 2-6 ATS their last eight games. The Stags have been decent on the road with a 8-5 S/U and 6-7 ATS mark. Quinnipiac Bobcats look to snap a 2-game losing streak here tonight. They are coming off a home loss to Niagara, 66-80, as a 8-point favorite. After two straight poor performances, you can expect the Bobcats to be prepared for a rebound game here on Friday. They are 11-2 at home S/U and 7-4-1 ATS and outscore visitors by a 11-point differential. These teams met back on Jan 28th in Fairfield with Quinnipiac winning 66-64 as a 1.5-point favorite. I look for Quinnipiac to get back to their winning ways as the top team in the conference. |

02-23-24 | Raptors v. Hawks -6.5 | 123-121 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 56 m | Show
Two Eastern Conference teams battling for a playoff spot meet here today as the Atlanta Hawks host the Toronto Raptors. The Hawks currently hold the 10th and final spot in the NBA Play-In games with a 24-31 record. The Toronto Raptors are 12th in the East, now 4.5-games back of the Hawks. The Raptors play the second of back-to-back spot here tonight after a blowout win at home last night over Brooklyn, 121-93, as a 1-point favorite. That snapped a 3-game losing streak for the Raptors. The Raptors have not been good on the road with a 8-20 S/U and 13-15 ATS mark and -5.6 point differential. The Atlanta Hawks should be well rested since they didn't play last night. The finished the fist half of the season with two straight losses. That coming after a nice 6-2 S/U and ATS streak the previous eight games. The Hawks were one of the worst teams in the NBA at home covering spread, but that has made a turnaround recent weeks with a 4-2 S/U and ATS mark their last six at home. These teams met back on January 28th with the Hawks taking a close win 126,125 as a 6.5-point favorite. With Toronto having to travel after last night and Atlanta having lots of rest. If this game turns into another shootout like the last one, the Raptors legs could be tired in the fourth quarter. I'll take the Hawks here tonight. |

02-22-24 | UC San Diego v. Cal-Riverside +3.5 | 77-65 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 33 m | Show
Big West action here on Thursday has Cal San Diego making the short trip to UC Riverside. San Diego is 2nd n the conference, one-game back of UC Irvine at 11-3 and 17-9 overall. UC Riverside is in the 2nd half of the pack with a 7-8 conference record and 12-15 overall mark. The San Diego Tritons have won two straight games after their win over Cal Fullerton, 76-69, as a 10-5-point favorite. They are 1-3 ATS in their last four games. While the Tritons have been very good at home, they have not been as good on the road with a 5-6 S/U and 6-5 ATS mark. The Riverside Highlanders bring a 4-game win streak into today's contest. They are also 3-1 ATS during that span. They have also been good at home, posting a 9-3 S/U and 7-3 mark with a +7.4 point differential. Riverside looking to put a bump in the San Diego conference crown hopes. They played San Diego down to the wire in their first matchup on Jan 25th, losing by just one point, 65-66, as a7-point dog. We still get some points at home today with Riverside. I'll take the points. Play UC Riverside. |
|||||||
02-22-24 | Hornets v. Jazz -9.5 | 115-107 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 44 m | Show
The 2nd half of the NBA season begins tonight and the Utah Jazz have some ground to make up. Right now the Jazz are sitting in 11, just out of the playoff picture and 2.5 games back of the final spot held by Golden State. That means they need to win games like today over a Charlotte team that has pretty much already waved the white flag on the season. Charlotte is 3rd from the bottom in the East and 10.5 games back of the final playoff spot. The Hornets are 13-41 overall and 21-32-1 ATS on the season. They did finish the first half of the season on a 3-0 AST and S/U run. However, they are still 5-20 S/U and 8-17 ATS on the road with a -13.4 point differential. The Utah Jazz are 26-30 overall and 24-28-2 ATS on the season. The Jazz finished the first half of the season with a 4-game losing streak. They have been ok at home with a 17-10 S/U and 18-8-1 ATS mark. They also have a +10-point differential. I'm taking the Jazz here tonight against a poor road team in Charlotte. Play Utah. |
|||||||
02-22-24 | Ohio State v. Minnesota -3.5 | Top | 79-88 | Win | 100 | 9 h 33 m | Show |
Big 10 action here on Thursday has Ohio State taking on Minnesota. The Ohio State Buckeyes are next to last in the conference with a 5-10 record and 15-11 overall mark. The Minnesota Golden Gophers are 7-7 in conference and 16-9 overall. They sit right in the middle of the Big 10 standings. Ohio State is coming off a win at home over Purdue, 73-69, as a 8-point dog. That makes them 4-1 ATS in their last five games. Still, they are 3-9 S/U mark their last 12 and 5-10 ATS mark their last 15. They are also horrible on the road with a 0-7 S/U and 2-5 ATS mark and -9.4 point differential. Minnesota snapped a 2-game losing streak with a home win over Rutgers, 81-70, as 5.5-point favorite. The Golden Gophers have been great for bettors, going 8-0 ATS their last eight games. They have been amazing at home with a 14-3 S/U and 16-1 ATS record. I like the Gophers at home where they dominate and against the Buckeyes where they have yet to win on the road. Play Minnesota. |
|||||||
02-21-24 | Colorado State v. New Mexico -7 | 66-68 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 51 m | Show
Mountain West clash here on Wednesday as the regular season enters its final stretch. Both teams looking for position in the conference as New Mexico hosts Colorado State. New Mexico is 8-5 in conference and 20-6 overall. CSU has identical records, 8-5 in conference and 20-6 overall. Both teams tied for 4th with Nevada. So a win today will help separate one team. Colorado State coming off a win over Utah State at home, 75-55, as a 6-point favorite. The Rams have won five of the last six games both S/U and ATS. They haven't been very good on the road though, going just 3-5 S/U and ATS. They are also 0-3 S/U and ATS as an away dog with a -11.3 point differential. New Mexico looks to rebound after losing at San Diego State, 7-81, as a 6.5-point dog. The Lobos are 2-3 after winning five straight games. The Lobos are 11-2 S/U and 9-3 ATS at home with a +17.5 point differential. CSU not a good road team and yet to cover as a road dog. The Lobos need to win at home and they have been very good on their home court. I'll take New Mexico here tonight. |
|||||||
02-21-24 | Tulsa v. Wichita State -6.5 | 63-79 | Win | 100 | 9 h 49 m | Show
American Athletic Conference matchup here today has the Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs. Wichita State Shockers from Charles Koch Arena, Wichita, Kansas at 9:00 PM ET on ESPNU. Tulsa Golden Hurricane is 13-12 overall, 4-9 in the AAC and 1-7 away. They are also 10-11-3 ATS and 1-6-1 ATS on the road with a -13.3 point differential. Tulsa snapped a four game losing streak with a win at home over Rice in their last outing, 93-82, as a 4.5-point favorite. The Wichita State Shockers are 10-16 overall, 2-11 in the AAC and 8-7 at home. The Shockers look to snap a 3-game losing streak here tonight. They lost their last two games, both on the road and failed to cover any of the three games. These teams met back on Jan 31st in Tulsa with the Golden Hurricane taking that game, 79-68. Wichita State looking for some payback here tonight. I'll lay the points with the Shockers as they get the win and cover. |
|||||||
02-21-24 | St. John's -9.5 v. Georgetown | 90-85 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 48 m | Show
St. John's Red Storm (14-12, 6-9 Big East) will face Georgetown Hoyas (8-17, 1-13 Big East) on Wednesday, February 21st, at Capital One Arena in Washington. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. EST and will be broadcasted on Fox Sports 1. The Red Storm are coming off a tough 68-62 loss to Seton Hall on Saturday as a 6.5-point favorite. St. John's coach Rick Pitino was furious with his team's performance, calling this "the most unenjoyable experience of my lifetime." He also said this team is "so unathletic that we can't guard anybody without fouling." He said he would make changes to the starting lineup and the rotation for the next game, which is tonight. The Hoyas are on a 10-game losing streak and they are also 5-5 ATS during that stretch. They have not won a home game since January 6th, when they beat Depaul. Georgetown has struggled on both ends of the floor, ranking last in the Big East in scoring offense (70.9 points per game) and scoring defense (76.9 points per game). Both teams are fighting for a better seeding in the upcoming Big East Tournament, which will start on March 7th. St. John's is currently eighth in the conference standings, while Georgetown next to last. A win for the Red Storm would keep them in contention for a top-six seed and a first-round bye. Considering how upset Pitino was after his team's last game, I expect the Red Storm to come out full force here tonight. And if there is one team that they can do that against, it's this Georgetown team. Play St John's. |
|||||||
02-20-24 | San Diego State +2.5 v. Utah State | 63-68 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 47 m | Show
We have a great battle in the Mountain West here tonight for sole top spot in the conference as Utah State hosts San Diego State. Both teams are 9-4 in conference play and the winner will have the inside road to the conference regular season crown. The San Diego State Aztecs are 20-6 overall and have won two straight and four of their last five games. They have also covered four of their last five games. They average 75.8 ppg while allowing 66.9 ppg. The Utah State Aggies are 21-5 overall and coming off a loss at Colorado State, 55-75, as 6-point dogs. The Aggies have lost three of their last five S/U and are 1-3-1 ATS. San Diego State has the leading scorer in the Mountain West with Jaeden LeDee, who averages 20.4 ppg. The 6'9" senior also grabs 8.2 rebounds per game. The Aztecs rank 18th in the Kenpom rankings and 7th in offensive efficiency. Utah State has struggled of late and with the interior play of LeDee, this team is poised to take the conference crown. The Aztecs have the 7th most efficient defense in the country and are ranked as the 5th overall seed right now in the NCAA tournament by braketology. This is the second meeting this year between the teams with San Diego State winning at home by 14-points. I'm taking the Aztecs again here tonight. |
|||||||
02-20-24 | VCU +3.5 v. Massachusetts | 52-74 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 47 m | Show
Atlantic 10 Conference clash here today has 4th place Virginia Commonwealth taking on 5th place Massachusetts. VCU Rams are 9-3 in conference and 17-8 overall. They are also 15-8-2 ATS on the season. U Mass is 7-6 in conference and 16-9 overall. They are 15-10 ATS on the year. The Rams are one of the better defensive teams, holding teams to just 65.9 ppg (38th) and 39.8% shooting (15th). U Mass has a decent offense, ranking 53rd in points at 79.9 ppg. But the defense is not good, ranked 192nd as they allow 72.2 ppg. Kenpom ranks them 96th in the country. VCU is 9-1 S/U and ATS in their last 10 games and still have a shot for the top spot in the conference. That makes this a big game for them. U Mass is 5-5 S/U and 4-6 in their last 10. VCU is also 5-1 S/U and ATS on the road. They have a lot of scorers with four players averaging in double digits. The experience also goes to VCU in this matchup. While VCU is getting around 3-points, I look for them to win this game tonight. |
|||||||
02-19-24 | Iowa State +9.5 v. Houston | 65-73 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show
A couple of ranked teams meet here today for the top spot in the Big 12 Conference. Both teams are 9-3 in conference play with the winner taking over the top spot. Houston is the the best team in the country with an adjusted efficiency margin of +32.39. Iowa State is ninth in the country, sitting at +23.98. We do have a head-to-head matchup from earlier in the year, where the Cyclones edged out the Cougars 57-53 at the Hilton Coliseum. Iowa State has a great defense and getting almost double digits is a lot to fade a team as good on defense as the Cyclones. They held the Houston team in check in the first meeting with their defense and I expect that again here today. The Cyclones are also the better spread team with a 5-2 ATS mark on the road and 9-3 ATS in conference play and 5-2 ATS as dogs. Iowa State has only lost one of its 25 games this season by 10 points or more. They've been playing extremely well and I think they'll be able to keep this a single-digit game. These teams are pretty even in my book and I'll take the 9.5 points today. Play Iowa State. |
|||||||
02-18-24 | Western -2.5 v. Eastern | 186-211 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 25 m | Show
The NBA All-Star game has gone back to the original form of West vs East after a number of years of mixed teams. The teams are pretty much even, though I give the deeper team and a bit of a talent edge to the West. The East will be without Philly center Joel Embiid. That will give the West an edge at center. The West used to dominate this matchup in the years up to the format change in 2018, winning seven of the previous 10 All-Star games by an average of 11.1 points. But with the change came more equal games as each of the last six All-Star games decided by single digits. Now we are back to traditional West vs East. We know the West has been the better conference in recent seasons with the better overall teams. And with Embiid gone today I give the edge here to the West. Make a small play on the West. |
|||||||
02-18-24 | Utah v. UCLA -2.5 | 70-69 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 60 m | Show
PAC 12 action here today from Westwood has UCLA hosting Utah. The Utah Utes are 6-8 in conference and 15-10 overall. They are just 3-8 on the road. UCLA is tied for 3rd in the conference with a 9-5 record and 17-8 overall mark. They are 8-4 at home this season. Utah has been slumping, losing its last three straight games both S/U and ATS. In addition, the Utes are 1-5 S/U and ATS in their last six games. The Utes are just 1-6 both S/U and ATS on the road with a -11.6 point differential. Meanwhile, UCLA seems to have turned around its season. After losing four straight in January, the Bruins have now won six straight and eight of their last nine games. They are also 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games. The Bruins playing their best ball of the season while Utah has been slumping. I'll lay the points with UCLA here this evening. Play UCLA. |
|||||||
02-17-24 | Kentucky v. Auburn -8.5 | Top | 70-59 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 5 m | Show |
SEC Action here today in college hoops has Auburn hosting Kentucky. Auburn is tied for 2nd in the conference, just a half game back of leader Alabama. The Tigers are 9-3 in conference and 20-5 overall. They are 13-0 at home and 16-9 ATS overall. Kentucky is 7-4 in conference play and 17-7 overall. The Wildcats are 6-3 on the road and 13-10-1 ATS overall. Kentucky is coming off a win at home vs Ole Miss, 75-63, as a 8.5-point favorite. They are 5-5 S/U and 3-6-1 ATS their last 10 games. Auburn is coming off a win at home vs South Carolina, 101-61, as a 11.5-point favorite. They shot great, hitting 60% from both the field and 3-point line. That made them 4-1 S/U and ATS in their last five games. The Tigers are a perfect 13-0 at home this year and 9-4 vs the number. They have a +22.1 point differential on their home court. I look for Auburn to easily win and cover today's contest. Play Auburn. |
|||||||
02-17-24 | Utah State +6.5 v. Colorado State | 55-75 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 34 m | Show
Mountain West clash here today has Utah State taking on Colorado State. Utah State is the dog here today despite being the top team in the conference at 9-3 and a 21-4 overall record. Colorado State is 7-5 in conference and 19-6 overall, good for 6th in the conference. Utah State Aggies have won two straight games and five of the last seven. The Aggies have been good on the road with a 6-3 S/U mark and a 81.4 ppg average. They also have a +1.9 point road differential. Colorado State looks to rebound from their loss at San Diego State, 55-71, as a 6-point dog. That makes them 6-5 S/U their last 11 games and 4-7 ATS their last 11. Colorado State averages 78 ppg and allows 68.4 ppg on the season. They are 13-1 S/U and 7-5 ATS at home. They are also only 2-6 ATS after a ATS loss. This is the second meeting between these teams with Utah State taking the first game on their home court, 77-72, as a 2.5-point favorite. Should be a high scoring game tonight, but I'll take the points with Utah State. |
|||||||
02-17-24 | Cincinnati v. UCF -1 | 76-74 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 4 m | Show
The Cincinnati Bearcats are currently tied for 11th-place in the Big 12 Conference with a 4-7 record and 15-9 overall mark. The Bearcats have struggled against the conference, going 3-7 in their last 10 games and have had to play a monster schedule against a very strong Big 12 conference. This will be their first unranked opponent in three games. Central Florida is tied with Cincinnati for 11th in the conference at 4-7 and a 13-10 overall record. Cincinnati is 3-3 S/U and ATS on the road this season and 0-2 S/U and 1-1 in neutral site games. These teams met back on Jan 27th with U Conn taking that game on their home court, 68-57, as a 7-point favorite. I don't believe Central Florida will be dominated in the paint again as they were in the first matchup. UCF hold it's opponents to 51.5 percent shooting at the rim and block 18.2 percent of their rim shot attempts. Without a significant scoring advantage for either team inside, the Bearcats and Knights will play a more competitive game in Saturday's rematch. I'll take UCF to take the second game in this set with U Conn. Play Central Florida. |
|||||||
02-17-24 | Marquette +7.5 v. Connecticut | 53-81 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 3 m | Show
Big East clash here today between Marquette and U Conn. These are the top two teams in the conference and two of the top ranked teams in the country. Connecticut is first in the Big East and the country's top ranked team at 23-2 overall and 13-1 in the Big East. Their only two losses coming on the road. They are also 15-10 ATS overall. Marquette is second in the Big East at 10-3 and fourth ranked in the country at 19-5. They are also 8-4 on the road and have a 14-10 ATS record. Marquette brings a eight game win streak into today's contest after beating Butler on the road, 78-72, as a 3-point favorite. They are also 7-1 ATS during that span. The Connecticut Huskies bring a 13 game win streak into today's contest. They are 8-5 ATS during that span. The Huskies just 6-7 ATS at a home favorite this year. Should be a great game between these top teams. I'll take the points with Marquette. |

02-16-24 | Niagara +6.5 v. Fairfield | 65-63 | Win | 100 | 7 h 51 m | Show
The Niagara Purple Eagles (12-11, 8-5 MAAC) will face the Fairfield Stags (15-9, 9-4 MAAC) in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup at Leo D. Mahoney Arena on Friday night. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+ at 7:00 PM ET, 4:00 PM PT. Niagara is coming off a close 74-71 loss to Iona on Sunday, snapping their two-game winning streak. The Purple Eagles shot 50 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from the three-point line, but they were outrebounded 36-28 and committed 17 turnovers. Niagara is averaging 75.1 points per game on 44.8 percent shooting and allowing 73.7 points per game on 45.2 percent shooting. Niagara is 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games and 8-0 ATS in the last eight road games. Fairfield is riding a three-game winning streak after edging out Saint Peter's 64-62 on Wednesday, failing to cover the 3-point favorite line. Fairfield is averaging 76.1 points per game on 46.7 percent shooting and giving up 71.2 points per game on 43.9 percent shooting. The Stags are favored by 6.5 points in this game. Niagara has been impressive on the road, covering eight straight games away from home. Both teams are battling for position in the upper part of the MAAC and I look for Niagara to continue their road excellence here tonight. Take Niagara in what should be a close game. |

02-15-24 | Warriors -1.5 v. Jazz | 140-137 | Win | 100 | 12 h 31 m | Show
The Golden State Warriors and the Utah Jazz will face off on Thursday, February 15th, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The game will start at 6:00 PM PST and will be broadcasted on ESPN. Golden State, which has been hot, lost at home last night to the Clippers, 125-130, as a 4 point favorite. Meanwhile, the Jazz also played last night at home vs the Lakers, losing 122-138, as a 4.5-point favorite. That makes three straight losses for the Jazz, the last two by 16 and 12 points. The Warriors loss snapped a five game win streak. They are also 8-2 S/U and ATS their last 10 games. Utah is 17-9 S/U and 18-7-1 ATS at home this season with a +6.4 point differential. The Warriors are 12-12 S/U and 16-8 ATS on the road with a +4.2 differential. Both teams played last night, so neither will have the advantage of rest. The Jazz have been horrible their last two games while the Warriors have been very good with the exception of last night's loss. I'll take the Warriors here tonight. |

02-15-24 | Long Beach State +3.5 v. UC-Davis | 78-74 | Win | 100 | 9 h 32 m | Show
Big West action here on the schedule has Long Beach State taking on UC Davis. Davis is 2nd in the conference with a 10-3 conference record and overall 15-9 mark. Long Beach is 7-5 and in fourth in the conference with a 15-9 overall mark. Long Beach has won two straight games after beating Cal Poly, 77-68, as a 14-point favorite. They have a winning road record with a 7-5 record both S/U and ATS and a +.5 point differential. The 49ers average 78.5 ppg this season and is 56th in the nation in rebounding. UC Davis hopes to rebound from the thrashing they took at Hawaii in their last game, 70-87, as 2-point dogs. They shot just 34.4% from the field and 21.7% from the 3-point arc while allowing 53.1% from the field and 60% from the 3-point arc. Davis is 9-4 S/U at home this year but just 5-6 vs the spread. They average just 71.8 ppg, good for just 242nd in the nation. Offensive edge here goes to Long Beach while Davis gets the nod on defense. I'll take the points with the visitors here tonight. Play Long Beach State. |

02-15-24 | Northwestern +4.5 v. Rutgers | 60-63 | Win | 100 | 6 h 2 m | Show
Big 10 Clash here today between Northwestern and Rutgers. Northwester Wildcats are 8-5 in conference and 17-7 overall and in 4th place in the conference. Rutgers is 5-7 in conference and 13-10 overall and third from the bottom of the conference. Northwestern is coming off a pair of wins, including last game vs Penn State, 68-63, though they failed to cover the 7.5-point favorite line. They had five players score in double digits in that win. That makes them 4-2 ATS in their last six games. They average 74.9 ppg this year while allowing 69.8 ppg with a +5.2 point differential. Rutgers brings a three-game win streak into today's contest, including last game over Wisconsin, 78-56, as a 3-point home dog. The Scarlet Knights are averaging 66.9 ppg while allowing 66.9 ppg for a +2 point differential. Despite their three straight wins, two of those by Rutgers came against 14th place in the conference Michigan and 12th place Maryland. Northwestern has the firepower and needs this game more than Rutgers. I'll take the visitors. Play Northwestern. |

02-14-24 | Heat v. 76ers -3.5 | 109-104 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 58 m | Show
The Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers meet in an Eastern Conference clash at the Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia. The Miami Heat arrive for this game on the second night of a back-to-back, having played against Milwaukee on Tuesday and getting the win, 123-97, as a 8-point dog. The Heat have won five of their last seven games after enduring a 7-game losing streak. They are also 6-1 ATS in their last seven games. One big issue tonight is that star Jimmy Butler is likely out with personal reasons. Philadelphia 76ers are looking to halt a four-game home losing streak. They have won two straight, both on the road, after beating the Cavs on Monday, 123-121, as a 11.5-point dog. The recent skid that has seen the team go 3-8 S/U and 4-7 ATS is because their star Joel Embiid has been out and remains out tonight. The playing field will be leveled as both teams missing their top player. With the Sixers back home, I expect them to take this game tonight. Play Philadelphia. |
