Taking SEATTLE. Everything we have seen this entire season tells us the Seahawks are the best team in the NFL. Nothing is going to change before the Super Bowl. This is the best defense that New England will face. They have been nearly picked off in their playoff games. They went the entire regular season not facing elite teams. Seattle has been battle tested and aced their exams on multiple occasions. Their lone losses on a missed FG in LA. And a season opening loss to San Fran - losing that one in the last minute 30 when, lets be honest, QB + HC + Team were really just getting to know one an other. Seattle by 10. Don't overthink things. Maye had a great season. But the Seattle defense is the best in the NFL. Maye will scamper for some yardage in this one. But it will late box score stats. Nothing meaningful. Taking SEATTLE. Another Round 3 for the Seahawks. They took care of San Fran twice. Now on to the Rams. Game 1 was a 21-19 loser as 3 point dogs in LA. 3 turnovers and missed FG as time expired doomed Seattle. Game 2. An instant classic. Rams up 30-14 on the road mid way through the 4th Quarter. A 60 yard PR for a TD + 2pt Conversion, a 3 and out. A TD to tie it. Missed FG for Rams. Just pure wildness. Now - both losing teams dominated in the stats but were undone by miscues. There will be talk of this being the Super Bowl since both of these guys have been pretty much the top teams all season long. If you want to say -- Rams, experienced and proven HC + QB. Edges of the Seattle pair. Absolutely no argument from me. Darnold with the oblique. I get it. Charbonnet, team leader in TDs, Out. I can't overlook the defense though. Rams - the last 2 weeks. Lucky to even win their games. Last second TD vs Carolina. Last week vs Bears, +3 in turnovers and were nearly upended. 7th road in 9 weeks going back and forth to the coasts. Rams defense seems a bit shaky. Also - Special teams. I think this is what gets us the win here. Shaheed is dangerous. Could take it to the house. Can easily flip field position. Taking the PATRIOTS here. I will be honest . Thought about Denver here. No way they can win this with a backup QB who hasn't thrown a pass in 2 years. And, plenty of times I have taken this no mans land +5.5 with a dog. But - since that Game 1 loser to the Raiders, this team has gone 16-2 SU and 14-4 ATS. They are 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS on the road. Yes. We can say the Patriots aren't 'For Real'. They haven't beaten any good teams. Well - they got by the Bills and probably after being up 21-0, should have swept them. They beat 2 playoff teams the last 2 weeks - good bad indifferent. Whatever you think about the Chargers and Texans. Broncos pulled one out vs the Bills. So if NE gets no credit for the Bills, then going to OT with a bye week and at home is a bad look also, no? - And the QBs. Who has the NE defense faced. Bottom tier QBs and backups. Well hello. Another backup. I am not saying this is going to be a cake walk. Both defenses are solid units. But also, maybe a little edge because of missing 'tape' on a guy - the unknown. Playing with the proverbial house money. Honestly - The Patriots were road dogs at Miami, Buffalo and Tampa Bay. Maye has been sacked 10 times the last 2 games vs the Chargers + Texans. And yet, laying more than a FG on the road in the AFC Championship Game? What are we doing? I think the too good to be true play is people on Denver. I get it though. The air drop and supply chain in food and water for sportsbooks located on islands and in deserts. They aren't in the habit of making many mistakes. Taking INDIANA. So - we had the Hoosiers their last 2 games in the playoffs.. Cha-Ching. We faded Miami the playoffs. 0-3. Of course I come back to my exact same reasoning to not take Miami. The coaching. And we look right at their last game vs Ole Miss. What should have been a Miami blowout could have been an outright loss for them if the refs didn't swallow the whistle on a one on one Hail-Mary pass. Granted. It is 15 yards in college. But still, a second shot at the end zone. Anything possible. More importantly. The penalties. That is all on poor coaching. 15 yards for conduct. That is all on the coaches. Look across the field. Is Indy playing that crap? These are literally men vs boys. We saw all the age stuff. But the Hoosier coach is on another planet compared to Miami in this one. I will always bring up Miami's 2 double digit favorite spots they lost this year. Plus last year. The game at down 35-10. The game before that needing 2 TDs in the 4th to rally past VT (17pt fav). Poor coaching and prep. The Georgia Tech fumble is icing on the cake. Then lose to Syracuse? Again. LAST YEAR. But still the SAME COACH. We saw it in those 2 games this year. We see the players immaturity with the dumb penalties. Indy plays a tough game. I can see them getting under Miami's skin and the Hoosiers cashing in on several unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. That turns a 1 score game into a 2 or even 3 score game. The fact this is home game for my Miami and they are 7+ point dogs?  They have learned whatever lessons had to be learned from their 2 losses last year.  -- And to Indiana. What has this team showed in both playoff games. That they are miles better than any other team. Dismantled Alabama. Oregon out of whack from the start and never recovered in a big 'revenge' spot. Mendoza makes every play he has to make. The defense, special teams. Both teams getting some extra rest. We saw no rust when Indiana played Alabama winning 38-3. What was that Miami/ Texas A&M score again? Miami need a TD with 1.44 left to win 10-3. Hmm. Who was prepped better off their layoffs? 5* Best Bet INDIANA HOO HOO HOOSIERS  --

Taking the BEARS. This Rams defense just is not doing it for me. Needed to come down the field and score in the last seconds to beat Carolina after being installed as a 10.5 road favorite. This is now the Rams 4th road game in 5 weeks. Not great. Back to the Rams defense. 31-20-27-38-34 17-31 their last 7 games. 4 into the 30s, ALLOWED. Now you want me to think they can lay points vs the Bears? If we have seen anything the last 4 games from the Bears - it is They Do Not Quit. Do we have to rehash the Packers on-side kick and win? On the move deep into SF territory before losing 42-38. Then the Lions up 16-0 and they come back to tie before losing late. And Finally, that 21-3 left for dead halftime look the other night. Taking the NINERS. I wanted San Fran last week at +3.5 - I didn't play it when we did Look Ahead Lines. All of a sudden we are run at 3.5 4 4.5 5 5.5 6. Had no idea why? No Trent Williams? Purdy out, CMC? I stayed away. Not overthinking things here. This will be a rock fight. 13-3, 17-13, 20-17 last 3 games. Seattle tough at home. I get it. As much as I like Darnold - guy has problems vs good teams. 17-13 loser this year, right here, vs San Fran. That crazy 38-35 Tampa Bay, again, home loss. Tough 20-12 win vs Jags. Lost 21-19 in LA. 18-16 here over Phillip Rivers and Indy! That wild Rams win 38-378. Do we have to go back to last year with Minny and his 4 losses.. Twice to Detroit -- Twice to the Rams. Not a knock. He has also beat LA and San Fran. But laying a TD. Can't do it. Niners or nothing. Also like the Under 45.5 here. 4* Money Maker SAN FRANCISCO 49ers

Taking the BILLS. I had Jags (loser) and the Under (winner) last week. I am not all that high on Buffalo. But even if Maye wins the MVP, this guy is the best QB the AFC Playoffs. Josh is a one man wrecking crew. That being said, I expect Denver to run a bit more than the Jags did. When Jags did run, they had big gains. Not sure they didn't just do that. Payton will. But lets be honest. The #1 Seed is a dog for a reason. Nothing I didn't touch on when I did Look Ahead Lines last week talking NFL playoffs and possible 2nd round matchups. These guys. Had to pull a 20-12 win over the Titans in Week 1. Lost that nutty game in Indy. Couldn't hold a lead in LA vs the Chargers. Played town to a miserable Jets team, nearly losing in a 13-11 win. How about that Giants game? 18-15 in Houston vs Davis Mills. 10-7 at home vs Vegas. 24-17 in Vegas. Even their last 2 games vs 3rd stringer in kC and a back ups for LAC in Week 18 - eking out 19-3 and 20-13 wins. Not impressive. 4* Money Maker BUFFALO BILLS

Taking HOUSTON. Straight play based on the Texans defense here. We saw Pitt lose to Cleveland because Rodgers didn't want to get sacked by Myles Garrett. Chucking the ball like a nut job. Texans don't have Garrett, but have a defense that will bring pressure and havoc. And did we not see Flowers with 2 huge catches? What do we think Nico Collins does here? Stroud is a good QB. Sneaky good coach with a monster defense. I was taking Houston even if this game was in Baltimore. They are the better team. It is just that simple. Oh, Tomlin home dog. Pitt at home, blah blah blah. This is an anemic offense ranked near the bottom for all of the NFL while Houston D can be argued is a Top 2 unit. 4* Money Maker HOUSTON TEXANS

Taking the CHARGERS. Patriots, Denver, Bears. The 3 teams that everyone thinks aren't as good as their records. Count me in on that also. The Patriots. We started the season cashing the Raiders vs the Patriots. We will put the nail in the New England season by takin the CHARGERS tonight. Points are great, I think they can win this one outright. This is no knock on Vrabel. But the Chargers basically said - you know what. Forget about moving up to to avoid the Patriots, we want to play the Patriots. Herbert is just a beast. The guy is always behind a banged up line and always has some lingering injury to himself. That being said, he is a gamer. I like their offense. A nice rush/pass attack. I think the LAC defense is a bend don't break unit. They will force Maye to show that playing a trash schedule didn't inflate his numbers. And don't be fooled by the Patriots defense. What QB's did they face outside of Josh Allen? Lamar for a half that they trailed in before he got hurt? Nobody. Absolutely nobody. Chargers win. 4* Money Maker LA CHARGERS

4* Total Money UNDER Bills/ Jaguars

Taking the JAGUARS. Bills being favored. Come on. This Jags team - who is more overlooked? Jacksonville or the Texans? Zero respect. These guys - hottest team in NFL? What is that now, 8 in a row? Bills have lost at Atlanta, Miami and Houston. The playoff caliber teams they have played. Lost to Philly 13-12 need a miracle to even attempt a 2pt conversion to win, at home no less! - Lost at Houston 23-19. And what, split with NE in back and forth games. Don't tell me, oh, they beat Carolina 40-9 on the road. Come on. Talk about an up and down team in the Panthers. 2 real good playoffs teams. 13-12 - 23-19. Both losses. Trouble scoring. Jags defense underrated. I also have the UNDER in this one, and you should too! After Jax wins, the Bills will be hiring Harbaugh sometime during the week! - 4* Money Maker JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 

Taking the PACKERS. Give me the veteran bunch here. Bears had a great season. New HC did a wonderful job with their QB. But, always a but. These guys can be argued should be on a 3 game losing streak coming into the playoffs. Do we really need to rehash that win over this same Green Bay team a few weeks ago? They beat the Browns 31-3 to break into what should have been a 1-4 run. YES. They beat Philly + Pitt in back to back spots. Impressive for sure. But what I have see of late. Not impressed. Is it even a riskier move backing a team coming in on 4 straight losses? Maybe. But, another but, they had a valid excuse as they were rolling with a backup QB. They totally mailed in Week 18. They had the Bears game won. They were right there in Denver to win. I do like Love. Worried a bit about their run D. That being said, I think we have enough offense to outscore Chicago. 4* Money Maker GREEN BAY PACKERS 

Taking INDIANA. Had these guys last week, back at it. Did fade Oregon that was a loser. It happens. Hoosiers beat these guys in the regular season. I know in bowls, the regular season loser has had very good results. But this Indiana team is just so good. Depth on both sides of the ball. Balanced offensive attack. Methodical. Just wear you down. 4* Money Maker INDIANA HOOSIERS

Taking OLE MISS. Nice cash with these guys over Georgia. I did not think Miami would pull off that upset over Ohio State though. Defense is pretty good. But this isn't a freshman QB they will be facing. This guy has some experience. A pair of splits with Georgia for Ole Miss. They were up in the first game and let it slip away. You think Georgia gets that scoop + score and they might be on their way to a big win. A bad call going for 2 early thinking it might cost you down the line. But they take the lead, give it back. Tie game. Miami has the defense. Do they have enough offense? Lets toss out that early ND win in Week 1. Last 2 games, much more impressive. I thought Ole Miss would have a chip on their shoulder when the coach left and said I have a better shot at winning at LSU. (We cashed with Houston over them) Currently a 10-4 Bowl run heading into Friday Jan 2. We'll take it. For me though - Cristobal. Now a favorite. Can you trust him in this role? I can't. I didn't trust him getting 9. Not trusting him laying 3. We have seen some blowouts in the playoffs. But I think we are getting a tight one here in Arizona at the Fiesta Bowl. 4* Money Maker OLE MISS 

Taking the RAVENS. I have more faith in Huntley than I do Aaron Rodgers. I don't think we see Lamar here. Icy cold temps and a guy with a bad back. You ever been around someone in the cold who has aches and pains. Oh, I feel that in my knee.. my shoulder. This is not ideal for him to come back. You pound Henry and win this rock fight. Steelers offense in worse shape than Ravens. 4* Money Maker BALTIMORE RAVENS

Taking WASHINGTON. Well. Line on the move. Philly sitting guys. I said last week when Washington was playing Dallas how chippy they were starting little fights vs Philly the week before. Taking ARIZONA. Maybe some good closing line value. You had another year, that is 5 now, to tune into Look Ahead Lines. Absolutely no motivation for the Rams in this spot. We have lost with good lines before. Pretty sure they are locked into a trip to Philly again. A lot of moving parts for them to play Carolina or Tampa. 4* Money Maker ARIZONA CARDINALS

Going UNDER the total. I will be shocked if this game got to 30. Total has dropped with Chargers sitting everyone. Makes sense. Do we really think Denver is going to risk guys getting injured if they get up 13-0? Nope. I would be comfortable playing this down to 34.5 -- 4* Total Money UNDER Chargers/ Broncos

Taking SAN FRANCISCO. We got a winner take all in this one. And all it is. NFC West Division Champ and #1 Seed in the NFC. I love the Niners here. Though, I am worried with them being a dog in this one. What is that about? At home. Vs a QB who, lets be honest, some problems vs the elite teams. SF can get cozy all the way through the Super Bowl with a win in this one. I think they get it. 4* Money Maker SAN FRANCISCO 49ers

Taking the PANTHERS. A little shine off this one as the Falcons win means that a win or tie gets Carolina in the playoffs, or the Atlanta just beats the Saints. Tampa need to win here and for the Falcons to lose or tie. Pretty sure if you watch Mid Day Money or Look Ahead Lines, I have said for the last 5 week -- why the heck is Tampa being listed as a favorite. And again today. 8 straight ATS losses for the Bucs. 4 straight losses, 1-7 SU last 8. Their last 4 losses, all as favorites. But here, with all the marbles on the table, they break out of their 2-8 slide dating back to October 20th, and win the South in winner take all fashion. Sure Jan.. Taking NAVY. We love the service academies in the bowl. Nobody opting out. All business. We saw it with Army. We will see it with Navy. Don't be worried about people saying how Cincy has won 3 in a row in the series. 2018, 2021, 2022. Different teams. Means nothing. You know what means something, Sorsby hitting the portal. QB was great this year.  27TDs 5 INTs another 9 TDs on the ground with nearly 600 yards rushing. How are they getting that? 5 starters on defense also hitting the portal. Taking OLE MISS. I think Sugar Bowl will be awfully sweet Mississippi. Time for a little revenge. Georgia won 43-35 back in mid October. 17 unanswered from Georgia in the 4th blowing a 35-26 lead. No Lane. No problem. These guys have something to prove for themselves without that coach. For trendies, team that won the regular season matchup are 0-7 ATS in the Bowl rematch. Up 41-3 over Tulane before a meaningless TD with 4 minutes to go. These guys are on a mission. Grab a future on them to win it all before the game starts. 4* Money Maker OLE MISS

Taking INDIANA. The Granddaddy of the All. Rose Bowl - We had Alabama over Oklahoma. But time for a bounce back to reality. Tough not to believe in Indiana. This team has just won all year long. Beating Ohio State was nice. But the road win at Oregon. I think more impressive. Ducks always tough at home. Cignetti 24-2 in two years losing at Ohio State and to ND in the Playoffs last year. And they sit as a near TD favorite over SEC Big Bad Alabama. So Alabama has the best win over Georgia. They also have the worse loss to Florida State. The offense had sputtered at times. It looks real easy to take the old guard vs the new kids on the block. But I know they air drop food and supplies to sportsbooks on islands and places in the middle of the desert. They can't be that wrong about how they rate Indiana. I had Alabama to start my season and they lost at Florida State. I will end the Bama love affair by taking the Hoosiers to win this one by 10. 4* Money Maker INDIANA HOOSIERS

Taking TEXAS TECH. I think these guys, along with Ole Miss are the teams that nobody is talking about. I don't know how much I like Oregon. What did the Ducks do this year? Lose at home to Indiana? Need OT at Penn State. (I will say PSU was the 'good' PSU at that time) What else? Winning at Washington? Beating USC? James Madison? You can make fun of Tech for being a Big 12 team all you like. One hiccup. A TD with 30 seconds left in the game on the road vs a solid Sam Leavitt led Arizona State team. Forget about them putting up crooked numbers all over the place. Look at their defense. Allowed more than 17 points twice all year. 7 times they allowed less than 11 points! 12-1 SU 10-2 ATS 10 games less than 20 points allowed. Guns Up. Let's go Red Raiders 4* Money Maker TEXAS TECH

Taking OHIO STATE. Miami does have a pretty legit defense, at times. Ohio State always a top offense team. It would be easy to take Miami with Beck at QB. Guy has been here before. But the coach. This guy. I can't trust him. Maybe the line should be 7 but its higher based on all the hate Cristobal gets. I don't think Miami is better than Indiana. Again. Coaching. That is the lone blemish for Ohio State. I cannot get the fact that Miami lost not once, but TWICE as a double digit favorite. Nice win vs A&M. But honestly, they won a shoot-out vs Notre Dame. That's it. Lost to Texas when they could have gone to the SEC Championship Game and, if they won that being undefeated, probably the 1 seed. But I wonder how good they really are? Buckeyes won this puppy last year. We know what they are capable of. No faith in Miami in crunch time. That 3-4 point OSU lead will balloon to double digits when the pressure is on the Canes. 4* Money Maker OHIO STATE

Taking DUKE. Not a huge fan of this team. But they are tough. They don't' have opt outs. Arizona State is out their starting QB, WR, RB and multiple OL. You lose an NFL WR a 1100 yard back and your QB, you will have some problems. Even with this line at 3 I think Duke should be able to win this by 2 scores. 5* Best Bet DUKE

Taking USC. Trojans have 11 starters out.. And the line has moved now to 6? TCU QB opts out and USC QB decides to play. Even with a ton of starters out of the picture I will be backing USC. This is USC. Missing WRs RBs or TEs is not that big a deal. They have 4* recruits to fill the role. We still have the best QB on the field and even if this turns into a shoot-out, I'm taking the experienced guy behind center. 4* Money Maker USC

Taking LOUISIANA TECH. Coastal with 5 losses of 38 or more points. Last 2 games, 59-10 and 51-7. That's 110-17 if you add them up. LT an hour from campus. Even with kids off for Christmas, this is a quasi home game and they will have some fans for this afternoon ESPN tilt. Bulldogs played here last year and lost to Army. This line up has gone up but it shouldn't matter. LT by 2 TDs in this one. 4* Money Maker LOUISIANA TECH

Taking SAN FRAN. Niners took care of business for us on Monday night. I expect more of the same here at home Sunday night. Bears, another winner for us last week. Never in doubt! - Chicago really getting some breaks and that brings some confidence to a young team. San Fran still a shot at winning the NFC West. I think they are the better team. Taking the BILLS. Not a chance I back Philly. Week 17. Now. Now the Eagles will show up and take care of business, on the road, vs the best QB in the AFC. Not happening. And as I am not a huge fan of Buffalo, this is not some slam dunk play. Their defense is why they aren't the 1 seed. But make no mistake. They will take care of Philly today. Super Bowl Champs coming to down. No reason not to be geared up to. I think these guys are Super Bowl or bust right now. No Mahomes. No Lamar. No Burrow. People love Drake Maye. Well, they lost a close one at home to NE. Then spotted NE 21 on the road and still beat them. These guys have looked a bit different the last few weeks. Taking the STEELERS. Man - why do I feel this is going to come back and bite my giant fat butt. I will tell you that I have zero handle on Pitt this year. Bet them, they lose. Against them, they win. I did pull off a Cincy outright vs these guys, but that is my glimmer of hope. Aaron Rodgers has looked pretty good of late and the team is poised to wrap up the division. Browns feisty, but still have been losing games. 1-6 in 1 score games. Losers of 4 of 5 and 7 of 8. They are still in the running for the top pick in the draft. Pitt is 42-12-1 OUTRIGHT vs these guys. Metcalf suspended and the line hasn't budged. It doesn't matter. Gainwell will get more looks. he leads the team in catches. Freiermouth is there. Jaylen Warren is there. Jonnu Smith. Pitt should get this done by 10. 4* Money Maker PITT STEELERS

Taking the SAINTS. Saints have won and covered 3 in a row. Just the better team. Titans got a nice win over depleted KC last week. But New Orleans not a team looking to pack it in. They are looking to build on late wins heading into a new season. New HC, new QB. These guys have been playing tough the entire season. I like them to continue to win even in a rare favorite role. Under is now 10-1 run in their games. I just can't do it at 39.5 though. 22-16 gets us the cover today. 4* Money Maker NEW ORLEANS 

Taking TAMPA. Man. I hate taking teams in a 'need to win' spot. But that being said. Tampa is still the better team. They have something to play for. And Miami is playing QB roulette. Not going to overthink things and make life complicated. 4* Money Maker TAMPA BAY BUCS

Taking NEW ENGLAND. Patriots with a nice comeback vs the Ravens last week giving us a win. Never in doubt! 12-3 is nice, but still the 2 seed with Denver in the lead with tie breakers. Pats laid 13.5 to Jets at home and won by 13. Now this line has ballooned back to 13. NE has covered 8 of 10 vs New York though. Brady Cook took 8 sacks last week in New Orleans. Ouch. 3-12 on their way to 3-13. Mail it in Jets. You got plenty of draft capital to turn things around the next 2 years. 4* Money Maker NE PATRIOTS

Taking HOUSTON. Who the heck has LSU beaten this year? 0-8 2-10 Arkansas? 1-7 4-8 South Carolina? 2-6 4-8 Florida? Should have probably lost to WKU but pulled out a 13-10 win. The offense has been terrible all year. But now, now it will shine? Come on. Houston in the little brother vs big brother role here. Big Bad SEC vs Big 12. Should be a bunch of fans at NRG for this one. LSU not a far drive at all. Give me the Cougars to get it done. 4* Money Maker HOUSTON COUGARS

Taking the RAVENS. Uh, Lamar. What a wasted season. You think with both Burrow + Mahomes out that Baltimore would be able to rise to the top. Instead, Lamar has dealt with his own set of injuries that look like they will knock him out of this game. Welp - Josh, you and the Bills will not have your usually foes in the AFC to beat. Anyway - Packers with their own QB problems. Malik Willis will be solid here for them. He has been in this spot before. But man oh man. Blowing a 10pt 4th quarter lead like that? Wow. Could have sowed up the division. Tough to pull yourself up from a gut punch like that. One side kick. Geez. On the bright side, we cashed the Bears! Ravens on a 1-5 ATS run but I can't quit the pain of backing them. Ravens still alive for the playoffs. I think this would be a FG game either way with him or Tyler Huntley. Taking VIRGINIA. A nice season for the Cavaliers. 10-3, can have their first 11 win season ever. And they should get it done here. Missouri is out their QB and 2 of his top 3 targets who combined for 47 catches 660 yards 4 TDs. Their OC also left and their new OC is from Michigan. I don't love the Michigan offense and the guy has had a couple days to get ready. I think this is a strong Virginia spot who is more than pumped to be here. Their QB, Chandler Morris is a 6th year QB who is trying to get a 7th year of eligibility! These guys lost the ACC Championship Game. This is a big game for them. These guys aren't going to the NFL. Give me Virginia here. I know MizzU will roll with their freshman QB. Both teams can run the ball. But in a close game, give me the QB with experience. 4* Money Maker VIRGINIA CAVALIERS

Taking the BRONCOS. Still have to think if these guys are for real or not. Jags come in and take care of business. How about those guys? Some season. But we move to Denver here in a big game vs KC. Chiefs with an entirely new set of problems at QB now. This team is officially done. Won't be shocked to see this game at 10. If the ending of this season doesn't sending Andy Reid off into retirement I will be completely shocked. Still battling for playoff position. The beat KC already this year. Taking CAL here. Tough to go against the Rainbows on their home turf. Totally understand. Christmas Magic for a home bowl game. Story should right itself.  Added story line of Cal coach and Hawaii coach being teammates! Oh the humanity!! Cal canned their coach. But, the QB is staying and playing. Cal beat both Louisville and SMU. A pair of teams that were on the outskirts of the CFB Playoffs. Hawaii can lay no claim to something like that. 4* Money Maker CALIFORNIA

Taking SOUTHERN MISS, also like the OVER in this one. Southern Miss coach is out the door, but, the OC is taking over and their QB is staying and playing. Sign me up. I got a team with a new HC looking at this bowl game like a new season. Healthy QB vs a bad defense. Western Kentucky QB position in flux. If you have 2 QBs, you have none - and you sure as heck shouldn't be laying points to a really motivated team.  4* Money Maker SOUTHERN MISS

Taking LOUISVILLE. Toledo HC left for UConn job. Is that really an upgrade? Rockets always a top MAC program. Anyway. QB Coach will serve as H in this one. Toledo DC also out the door heading to Syracuse and won't be here. Rockets won down the stretch but couldn't get to MAC Championship Game. The defense is solid. I just don't see any motivation here. Toledo could be starting a freshman QB with Tucker Gleason doubtful to play due to injury. Kid has some wheels and wasn't terrible coming in in last game vs Central Michigan. For me in this one, Miller Moss for UL. QB is playing. A couple UL DL opted out. WR opted out but has torn ACL. The RB situation is more injury than portal. Line has come down on that news perhaps. Cards had lost 3 in a row. OT heartbreak vs Cal as 18pt favorites. 20-19 vs Clemson. Smashed at SMU 38-6. Easily could have mailed it in vs Kentucky after being 8-1 and having ACC Championship Game in sight. But they shut out Kentucky 41-0 and have a QB who is pretty good leading the charge here in Boca.  4* Money Maker LOUISVILLE 

Taking SAN FRAN. Nice game last week for Rivers after playing with the grandkids for the last 4 years or whatever. But here come the Niners. These guys still alive for the NFC West Title. Colts had a nice little shot in the arm last week. But honestly, Seattle was looking way past Rivers and the Colts to the Rams on Thursday night. We also get San Fran who saw these guys nearly knock off Seattle? You think they are taking them lightly? Niners by double digits. 4* Money Maker SAN FRANCISCO 

Taking NEW ENGLAND. Like this a bit more actually with the Patriots blowing that lead at home to Buffalo. 21-0 with that head coach. Could have locked up the 1 seed in the AFC. I would much rather have the 3 than the 2.5 that I have and they have appeared. Ravens still trail the Steelers and they travel to Pitt in Week 18 to close out the year. Next week they are in Green Bay. Pitt is in Detroit this week off a short week. I'll be taking the Lions in that one. Look. All I am in saying is that there is no guarantee that Week 18 matters. NE is off a terrible loss with a HC who will 100% make sure he zips up any problems on defense. Ravens offense has struggled for many reasons this season. The defense has it's own problems. This is not a vintage Baltimore bunch. I think the more winnable game will be in Green Bay vs a Packers team with some injuries. Small dog gets the call on Sunday night. 4* Money Maker NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 

Taking the LIONS. Final home game for Detroit. Final gasp of playoff life. Steelers with a short week of their Monday night football win over Miami. 23 straight MNF win for Pitt. Wow. Nice work. This offense won't have problems. I think this is the proverbial 'get right' spot for Detroit. Though getting right in Week 16 probably isn't where you want to be when you are the Lions. Detroit defense will make life rough for old man Rodgers. No stranger in this matchup. He can't trade blows with what Detroit will bring. Lions by 2 TDs. Look into their team total Over also. 4* Money Maker DETROIT LIONS

Taking the VIKINGS. Man. I bash JJ for 2 weeks and the guy comes out beating a pair of NFC East teams looking like a seasoned All Pro. I lost like a fool backing Dallas last week. Now - this line has moved to 3 but that is really just based on Minny last week. Oh, they beat Dallas on the road and the Cowboys had playoff hopes. And I don't love laying the 3 here. I took this at this price thinking they would be off a loss. But I did think it would based on Dart. I still can't believe as I write this (Wed) that he is going to play here. Another week in concussion protocol? That is 5 times in 10 games! Well anyway. Vikes with 31 and 34 points the last 2 weeks. They have to be feeling good. They have no reason to lose. They are trying to see their own 'franchise' QB and if he is the real deal. As always with Minny, they will have a coaching edge which always helps in a close game. With the Giants on a 8-1 over run and the way Minny has moved the ball the last 2 weeks, Vikings are the play this afternoon. 4* Money Maker MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Taking CAROLINA. These guys meet twice here to end the season. NFC South hanging in the balance! Oh, The Humanity!! -- Tampa on a 1-5 SU 0-6 ATS streak and are still being priced as favorites. We had Atlanta over Tampa last week. NEVER IN DOUBT! - I will continue my talking points on the health of Baker and Friends. The team has injuries and guys on the mend all over the place. Pretty sure the boo birds were out in Tampa last week. Panthers lost again to the Saints this year. Not sure what to think about that. Carolina at home has beaten the Rams, Cowboys Miami and shut out Atlanta here. Tough home field, home dog. Banged up road team who shouldn't be favored. Taking the TITANS. Line is now 3 as Mahomes is out. At 3 I can maybe make a case for KC here. But the way it all ended, won't be shocked at a Titans outright win.  All I can say is that hey - another lost number by missing Look Ahead Lines. Chiefs no playoffs for the first time since 2014. 7 straight AFC Championship Games. What a run. Won't be shocked if Andy Reid retires after the season. 4* Money Maker TENNESSEE TITANS

Taking DALLAS. Good chance they are officially out of the playoffs depending on Saturday outcomes. But I was going to be on them here either way. One. Chargers (we had them) off huge outright win over KC. A sweep of KC. Ending their AFC Championship Game run at 7. Knocking them out of the playoffs. Great job. But the offense. Didn't look good again. Texans on deck for them. Huge in conference game. Very important. Dallas not so much for LA. -- Final Dallas home game of the year. I expect them to come out fired up for the crowd and put on a good little show on offense. Lets just hope if there is Joe Milton sighting, it is late 4th with the Cowboys up 10! 4* Money Maker DALLAS COWBOYS

Taking the BEARS. Well. The Plus 3's are gone. You missed an entire season of Look Ahead Lines and not getting the best of the number. But, in this case, I don't think it would matter. Bears are a 'are they for real team' along with the Patriots and Broncos for me. I am starting to have faith in all these guys after 17 weeks! - Look. Bears catch a bit of a break with the Packers injuries here. Bears battled 2 weeks ago vs these guys. I think they pull it out here at home. I'm doing my best to try to find something good to say about Chicago after they cost me my Under 8.5 win ticket! - Let's just say I am thisclose to saying great job on winning the division. Taking OREGON. Another blowout incoming. How the heck is James Madison handling this spot? Best team they played, Louisville, lost there by 14. Oregon offense in a Top 15 unit across the board. How are the Dukes hanging in this one? 59 vs Coastal Carolina - 58 Appalachian State - 52 Texas State and 63 vs Old Dominion. What would Oregon be favored over those guys? Ducks were favored over Big 10, PAC 2, Big 12 teams -- Minnesota 27 (42-13) -- Rutgers 18.5 (road 56-10) -- 26.5 Northwestern (road) up 34-0 with 5 to go 34-14 -- 34 vs Oregon State (41-7) -- 28.5 vs Oklahoma State (69-3) 28 vs Montana State (59-13)  4-2-1 in those games. Taking MISSISSIPPI. Another Group of 5 getting a lot of points. Ole Miss trashed these guys 45-10 back in September. What has changed? No Kiffin? OC is still there. And some of the comments out of the locker room, well, not all love for Kiffin. I think Ole Miss dominates. Tulane needed 3 INTs to get past North Texas. Pick 6, INTs in the end zone. Fumbles. 20 point blowout incoming. Huge motivation for the new HC and the team to prove they aren't Lane Kiffin. 4* Money Maker OLE MISS

Taking ALABAMA. Oh the team that I have bashed for being here for the last week. That still hasn't changed. And the Sooners? How the heck are they here? Because they beat a 3 loss Alabama team? SEC bias is a complete joke. Look. Sooners offense is terrible. I have heard the whispers everyone else has about Bama's QB being injured. And now, coach rumors swirling about the now open Michigan job. So - time for a little Alabama revenge. Lost in Tuscaloosa even  though you outgained the Sooners by 200 yards. Well - can't handicap turnovers (3) or 85 yard Pick 6 INT (17 points total of TOs). Both teams struggle on offense with solid defense which is why we see this total sitting at 40. Crimson Tide an absolute terrible game in SEC Championship vs Georgia. You would think this spot, revenge vs a team that has clipped you twice recently, would be the spot to, circle the proverbial wagons and make a statement It will be ugly, but Bama should win this one by a couple. 4* Money Maker ALABAMA

Taking SEATTLE. Gave out the Under also but at 47.5, a little movement on that one. Just another reason to tune into Look Ahead Lines. Also would have gotten you Seattle -3.5 last week - (a fat loser!) But on to tonight. Everyone will be on the Rams in this spot (we cashed Rams ML in that one). Oh, Darnold can't beat the Rams or good teams. Fact is, Seattle dominated with over 400 yards of offense. 3 Turnovers hurt. But even after that, they were a missed FG away from winning. Seattle defense put the Rams in check allowing just 249 yards. Seahawks get their revenge tonight. 4* Money Maker SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Taking OLD DOMINION. Both QBs sitting this one out. But what puts me here is South Florida coach roaming the sidelines in Auburn right now. We get a QB who has started 1 game for OD. But that game - The kid gets Sun Belt Player of the Week vs Arkansas State! He knows the system. Just the more stable team at this point and the line move shows that. 4* Money Maker OLD DOMINION

Taking the STEELERS. I don't love Pitt at all. These guys. I back them, they lose. I play on them, they lose. I have zero handle on them this season. But there is zero chance I back Tua in a 2nd straight road game - and, in cold weather. Not interested. Steelers another team hanging on for their playoff lives. Miami is right there also, so don't think I am just saying one team is more motivated than the other. The Steelers should be able to get a Tua Taglia-Turnover to make some mistakes and pull away tonight. 4* Money Maker PITTSBURGH STEELERS 

Taking the COWBOYS. Look. If Dallas can't beat this team by more than a touchdown, man, trade Lamb, Dak, Pickens whoever in the off-season. With a slim playoff chance, you would think this is where the perennial under achievers run off a bunch of wins like they did before losing to the Lions. And really - JJ McCarthy. This kid was so bad they faked him being hurt to get him off the field. Dallas team total Over 26.5 looks inviting also. 4* Money Maker DALLAS COWBOYS

Taking the RAMS. Line opened at 4.5 and has been steady creeping. I know Rams scored 45 or whatever vs Arizona. Is that why? Are we just not loving the Lions? Both teams in playoff fights - Lions trying to hang out. Rams, huge battle for home field + division with Seattle (big Thursday night game ahead) and even the Niners on their heels. When it gets down it though, I have to go with coaching. Rams, for me, advantage. Interested to see where the gameday money comes on this. I would be shocked if we didn't see the line drop a bit as people back the Lions who are really in a must win spot. But just because you have to win, doesn't mean you win - or cover for that matter. Taking the BENGALS. Burrow with a terrible 4th quarter costing us an outright win, but we did cash with the points. Off a bad game like that, big bounce back here at home. He already beat this reeling Ravens team on Thanksgiving. Could have had more points but settled for FGs. Baltimore in absolute tail spin. Lamar does not look like anything close to being healthy. Will be shocked if he isn't on the injured list on Monday. Cincy defense didn't look all that great last week. But right now, Allan is on another planet compared to how Lamar is playing. Ravens have had trouble scoring for weeks. 23 points isn't going to cut it vs this offense. Home dog with the better QB right now and all things being equal,  probably similar defensive makeups. Cincy winner incoming. 4* Money Maker CINCINNATI BENGALS

Taking the CHARGERS. Got a win with these guys on Monday night. Will take the points here on the short week vs KC. Look - Chiefs. What are we doing here? Favorites of 5.5? These guys are 0-5 ATS and have lost 4 of their last 5 outright. Should have maybe lost their win, scoring 11 points in the 4th to force OT and then win in OT vs the Colts. Oh. A revenge spot for KC. That's right. They lost in Brazil. Of course. Easy to take that angle. Revenge spot. Short week for the banged up Chargers. Print that money with Mahomes + Reid. Uh. Did you miss the Sunday Night Game with the Texans and Chiefs? Hey - can KC win this 17-7. Sure. Will they? I don't think so. This team has been in a funk, slide, whatever you want to call it - But since losing to the Bills, these guys have not recovered. Taking the GIANTS. Line has flipped and we go from getting 2.5 to laying 2.5. But that makes sense with Daniels out. Why was he even playing? 8 straight losses for Washington going 1-7 ATS. Giants off their bye week. I know the fans want a draft pick. But they have their franchise QB. They can still trade down from 2 if someone wants one of these trash college QBs this year. Face it, nothing worse tanking for the #1 pick. Giants have dropped 7 in a row themselves. Bye week. A team slumping worse than you are. Taking the FALCONS. I am kicking myself for not taking the Saints last week. i have been down on Tampa for a bit now. This team is still being priced as if it's the end of September. Ok - they had covered some games in October. Fact it - 0-5 ATS last 5. 1-6 ATS last 7.  As you know - I am no fan of the Falcons. I said to take Carolina over the Falcons if I was looking for a team to unseat Tampa in the South back in August. Cousins a shell of what he was. Terrible game vs Seattle. But Tampa is not Seattle on defense. I think Prime Time Cousins SHINES tonight! And really, this is just fading the Bucs. Baker not near 100%. Clearly the shoulder is bothering him. A hit away from Teddy B coming in. Just too many points here in what I think is a coin-flip game. Finally- Raheem Morris. Year 2. Went 8-9 last year. Lost his 'franchise QB'. I think he is back next year either way. But lets face facts here. This guy is looking to win every game. He isn't looking for draft picks to help his replacement. Both teams on short week, one loss worse then the other for these guys. One blowout - One upset. Again for me - the Tampa injuries hurting the depth and quality of play. Taking the BEARS. We can say the Bears off a huge win Friday over the Eagles. But every game seems to be a huge win because that is all the Bears have done this year. WIN. 9-3. Green Bay went into Detroit and whipped the Lions in a spot I thought they were cooked like Turkey. But I am still not sold on GB. We have seen them 'play down' or I don't even know the words. We have seen some clunkers. I don't trust them laying points like this. They are not good enough to be laying points like this. Since Week 3. 2-6 ATS when favored.  Give me Da Bears. 4* Money Maker CHICAGO BEARS

Taking WASHINGTON. Will also be on the UNDER in this one. Daniels is cleared to play, but honestly, I don't think it should matter. Minnesota will be back on McCarthy in this one. The kid is brutal. I didn't like them just handing him the keys, and, so far, I look right. You know this young kids will have problems coming into the league. This is just fade of Minnesota in general. You have no QB. They have to run JJ out there because he is 'the franchise' that they selected. Washington went for 2 and the win. Right call when you had lost 6 in a row. Now 7 in a row. Taking the JETS. Miami as a road favorite? Come on. 3 straight wins to knock them further down the Top 10 in the draft. Jets have a new coach. They are looking to show up and win. 3-2 SU 4-0-1 ATS run for the Jets their last 5. For me - Miami in the cold. Tua Taglia-Turnover. Mr 14 INTs on year -- Pick 6 incoming from him in this one. Taking the RAVENS. Yes. Lamar could be out. Missed practice on Thursday. But honestly, he has played poorly most of the year. Guy is no where near 100%. Lots of lingering injury concerns. We had Cincy on Thanksgiving. Thank you for 5 turnovers Baltimore. That is how you blow a 5 game win streak. Steelers in off their own loss to the Bills. That is 2 straight, 3 of 4 and 5 of 7. Loser will have a lot of work today as both teams sit at 6-6. If by some chance Lamar is out, I still don't trust Pitt to win. I think Rodgers sucks the life out of the room. I have said a couple times on my shows that I think this is the end of the Tomlin era. A Baltimore win gets me that much closer.  4* Money Maker BALTIMORE RAVENS
