NFL 100 DIME GAME BROWNS +10.5 Baker Mayfield went toe to toe with Ben Roethlisberger to give the Cleveland Browns their first postseason win since the 1994 season. The win marked the first time the Browns have won consecutive games against the Pittsburgh Steelers since the turn of the century. The celebrations will be short-lived, however, as they face the Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. Whereas the Browns have been engaged in battle the last two weeks, Mahomes and the rest of the Chief’s starters have essentially had two weeks to relax. Although this sometimes acts as a momentum killer, we should see a Kansas City team refreshed and raring to go as they attempt to be the first back to back Super Bowl winners since the New England Patriots in 2004. As ludicrous as it may seem, I honestly believe that this Chiefs’ team is better than they were last year. Mahomes and Tyreek Hill are operating on a different level and the defense is greatly improved. The Browns will definitely prove to be a handful on Sunday afternoon but ultimately the Chiefs should emerge victorious." Browns 35-34

NFL 150 DIME GOY BILLS -1 Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills survived a close game with the Indianapolis Colts to advance to the Divisional Round. Their reward? A clash with a Baltimore Ravens team that locked down and ran roughshod over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon, dispelling the narrative that Lamar Jackson can’t win a playoff game in the process. Although the Bills have appeared unstoppable in recent weeks on their way to the second seed, this game isn’t going to a walkover for them by any stretch of the imagination. The Ravens have one of the best defenses in the league. As a result, the matchup between Stefon Diggs and a secondary that contains Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey will be must-see TV. They’re also strong up front, posing a threat to Allen’s ability to run the ball. The Bills haven’t been as impressive defensively as they are offensively. Therefore, the Ravens have a reason to believe they can come away with a win. Buffalo has allowed over 20 rushing touchdowns in 2020 and we all know how potent the Baltimore ground game is. As a result, we’re set for a classic battle on Saturday night."

NFL 100 DIME HIGH ROLLER GOY BILLS -6 The Colts have a tough first-round draw as they travel to Orchard Park to take on the Bills. Buffalo is riding a six game winning streak heading into the postseason and have many analysts wondering if they can make it to the Super Bowl. Buffalo’s offense is loaded, led by star quarterback Josh Allen. If the Colts want to limit his production, they will have to provide constant pressure and have linebackers spying on him all day. Luckily, Indy has one of the best containment linebackers in the league in Darius Leonard. The biggest mismatch in this game is Stefon Diggs vs. the Colts secondary. Rock Ya-Sin has been ruled out with a concussion, leaving Matt Eberflus thin in the secondary. Look for a combination of single and double coverages to limit the league’s leader in receiving yards. If the Colts want to win, they will have to establish the run the way they did in the second half of the season. This will be a close game for three quarters, but in the end Buffalo will pull away and continue their postseason run.

Iowa State’s run game should be effective behind Hall, who many thought could be a potential Heisman candidate earlier in the season. UK has a strong rushing attack and the Wolfpack defense will be without its defensive anchor. So this game could come down to if Wildcats quarterback Terry Wilson can make plays with his arm. If he can, then Kentucky has a chance to pull off the victory. But that has not been a winning formula for the 'Cats this season whereas NC State enters this game with more momentum having won four in a row. NFL 100 DIME GAME COWBOYS +3.5 there are a lot of reasons the 49ers can win this game that is perfectly logical and reasonable. Unfortunately, Nick Mullens is playing quarterback for the 49ers, and as we’ve seen too many times this year, he cancels out all of them. Everything has to go perfectly on every play for the 49ers’ offense to be successful, and that simply is not going to happen in the NFL - even against a defense as bad as the Cowboys’. I also expect our old friend Aldon Smith to wipe the floor with Mike McGlinchey at least once in a crucial situation. The Cowboys aren’t going to score a ton on offense, but they have too many talented players to be totally shut down. It won’t be a high-scoring game, but Dallas should have just enough to get it done.

NFL 100 DIME GAME BILLS +3 It's a little unusual to rave about the defensive performance of a team that gave up 34 points, but the Bills (7-2) were up on Seattle by 27-10 in the third quarter last week before largely easing off on defense and cruising to a 44-34 victory. Regardless of the points allowed, Buffalo sacked Russell Wilson five times, hit him another 11 times, pulled down two interceptions and recovered two fumbles. Not bad, considering it was facing an M.V.P. candidate who leads the highest scoring offense in the N.F.L. This week has nearly as difficult a challenge. The Cardinals (5-3) can do considerable damage, thanks to the running and passing of quarterback Kyler Murray, and would get an enormous boost if running back Kenyan Drake could return from an ankle injury. With Buffalo's Josh Allen coming off perhaps the best game of his career, it was no surprise for oddsmakers to predict this would be the highest scoring game of the week. But if Buffalo's defense can perform near the standard it established last week, the Bills can walk away with a road win to be proud of.

CFB 100 DIME GAME UCF The UCF quarterback has been nothing short of spectacular. He’s thrown for 21 touchdowns in just six games, with only two interceptions. His interception-to-attempt ratio (0.14) is on pace to be the lowest in school history. The only quarterbacks who have thrown for more yards than Gabriel’s 2,506 are SMU’s Shane Buechele (2,581) and BYU’s Zach Wilson (2,511). Of course, Buechele and Wilson have also played two more games than Dillon. One would think there wouldn’t be enough footballs to go around, but the Knights also boast two running backs in the top 40 in rushing yards. When Greg McCrae (496 rushing yards) was banged up early, shifty senior Otis Anderson (480 rushing yards) more than picked up the slack. Now that McCrae is fully healthy, he has also been gashing opposing defenses. Look for this one-two punch to each surpass the 100-yard plateau against Temple. Why, then, has this team lost two football games? Simply put, the defense is not holding up its end of the bargain. The Knights rank 64th in opponent yards per rush attempt and 87th in opponent yards per pass attempt, yielding 8.1 yards per pass. To make matters worse, the defense will be without four players who were counted on at the beginning of the season. Starting safety Antwan Collier, linebacker Eric Mitchell, and defensive linemen Kenny Turnier and Randy Charlton were dismissed from the team. This stemmed from an off-the-field incident prior to the Houston game. Temple is dealing with a banged up quarterback. The offense is already horrible, and I expect a big blowout.

By the time the fourth quarter rolls around, the rookie quarterback will be seeing ghosts, goblins and ghouls in the pocket. That will lead to the sort of turnovers teams typically expect from a young signal-caller. The only difference this time is the defense won’t be able to bail him out. Murray will outgun Tagovailoa on the other end by leaning on Chase Edmonds and the rushing attack. The Dolphins have proven to be soft against the run, and you can rest assured the Cardinals will look to exploit those struggles every chance they get. Just wait for Murray’s play-action fake and deep pass to All-Pro wideout DeAndre Hopkins. That knockout punch will come at some point when the Dolphins defense is selling out to the run, and then it’ll be game over. I’m laying the points and taking Arizona in this one.

They own the 30th ranked DVOA pass defense, and have allowed a 68% completion percentage to opposing QBs. This is the perfect game for the Bills passing offense to get back on track. The Bills also got their running game going last week, racking up 190 yards on the ground. The Bills defense has also been better as of late. In their last two games, they have only given up 294 passing yards combined. The Bills defense has also forced 3 turnovers in their last two games. Chicago hasn’t exactly been shutting down opposing offenses entirely, as evidenced by their pass and run defense ranking 12th and 16th, respectively. This is going to be the week that Chicago’s defense breaks a bit. Derrick Henry finds room to run on the ground, and Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee passing attack get back on track. Of course, Tennessee’s defense is a mess and the secondary is riddled with injuries, so I don’t expect much to change in this game, but the Titans’ unit does just enough to secure a win on Sunday against what has been a lackluster Bears offense this season.

Oregon vs Stanford is always one of the better games of the year, and these two teams always play each other tough. I think this game on paper looks like a game in which both defenses will play well and this game follows the traditional path of being a lower scoring game. I am going the opposite direction. New faces in Oregon's secondary, a poor 2019 defense in Stanford is down multiple starters this year. I think we see a lot of points scored. Oregon is a 10-point favorite, and I think we see the Cardinal cover in the smallest of margins.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL 100 DIME GAME CLEMSON -5 Clemson is the No. 1 team in the nation, the Tigers come to South Bend without star quarterback Trevor Lawrence and a shorthanded defense. The best path for a win by the Fighting Irish starts by winning the battle in the trenches on offense, allowing Kyren Williams and Chris Tyree to find running room behind a standout offensive line. Quarterback Ian Book doesn’t need huge numbers, but the senior needs to hit on a big play or two, consistently connect on the midrange passes and keep drives alive on third downs. Defensively, Notre Dame has to keep Travis Etienne in check and force a receiver outside of Amari Rodgers to win this game. The Fighting Irish and Tigers battle for four quarters, but D.J. Uiagalelei makes a couple of big plays in the second half, while Clemson’s defense steps up with the game on the line to pull out the victory in South Bend.

If I was on the Baylor coaching staff, I'd put on the game film of Iowa State's loss to Louisiana and wear that sucker out to find some dents in the armor. But it still may not help. The Wildcats have struggled on defense, and the Cowboys have an offense that can take advantage of that. Chuba Hubbard should have a big game against KSU's 60th ranked run defense, and then I will look for Sanders to open things up downfield. Look for OSU to win this game by Over two TDs.

The loss of Paris Ford deep in the secondary serves as a huge blow and should open up things for FSU in the passing game. However, on a per-play basis, the performance is much closer. The Horned Frogs have surrendered 6.2 yards per snap, which sits 84th on the FBS leaderboard, compared to Texas Tech's 6.4, which is 94th. That, coupled with a slightly more consistent offensive performance overall, should help the Red Raiders keep the game close. The Nittany Lions have defensive talent, but they’ll be rolling out the red carpet for a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate this season. Fields will do more with his arm in this outing, while leaning more on the combination of Teague and Sermon in the offensive backfield. The Buckeyes finished against Nebraska with a 62 percent third-down conversion percentage in their last outing. Northwestern was supposed to have a good defense, and it does, and the offensive line came into the season just fine, but if the skill guys really are that good, look out. CFB 150 DIME GOLD GOY MISSISSIPPII +18.50 WSU quarterback Anthony Gordon threw for 5,579 yards with 48 touchdowns completing 72 percent of his attempts last season. Costello will get his chances to exploit LSU's defense. Can LSU keep everything bottled up limiting explosive plays? The play of LSU's offensive line will not only dictate the outcome of the game but for the entire season. If the line is up to the task, Mississippi State will have limited chances. With first game jitters and a simple offensive approach to get the ball out quick, Mississippi State should push LSU until adjustments are made. LSU by 7

NFL 100 DIME GAME RAVENS -6.5 The Bookmakers are giving the Texans way to much credit here. The Ravens have a strong run game, and Lamar Jackson can get the ball down the field. I expect the Texans defense to wear down by the early 4th quarter. This game will be high scoring. Ravens win 31-17

NFL 100 DIME GAME BILLS -5 The Bills have done well against the Dolphins in the past. The Bills have one of the best offenses and defense in the NFL. The Dolphins are going to struggle against the run, and don't have the secondary to stop the wide receivers. This game should be a blowout. Bills win 34-13

NFL 100 DIME GAME COWBOYS -2.5 With the secondary and offensive line depth a real concern and after impressive showing from the Atlanta Falcons three top receivers and talented pass rushers this will be a tough game. The Cowboys have the advantage in the passing game. The Falcons don't have the best experienced cornerbacks. I like rookie Lamb to shine today. The Falcons are 1-7 ATS when the line is 49.5 and higher, and 2-7 ATS when playing in September. The line opened up -7 and has pulled back. Take the -2.5 for the victory.

NFL 100 DIME LEGACY GOY JAGUARS +12 The Bookmakers are giving way to much credit for the Jaguars. The Jags have a good run game, and they have Minshew as QB. The Jaguars defense is not to good, but the Titans are not the best team either. This game will be played on the ground. I like this game to be decided by 6 points or less. Jags could pull the upset here.

CFB HIGH ROLLER 100 DIME GOY LOUISIANA TECH In the last matchup, both teams started out with a bang! It was until the 4th Quarter Southern Miss just gave up. Defense is key in winning games, and that is something Southern Miss doesn't have. Football is different this year without fans in the crowd. It doesn't make any sense that Southern Miss is even a favorite. LT is 6-1 ATS, and have a top running back that can get through this week secondary. Lt should pull the victory here. LT wins 28-20.

NFL 100 DIME GOLD GOY SEAHAWKS -118 The Falcons have struggled on the run defense. The Seahawks love to run the ball, and the Falcons secondary is not the best. The Falcons have surrendered 111 yards on the ground. The Seahawks have one of the best QBs, and Wilson has great receivers that can get the job done. The Falcons have a new face in the run game, but I'm not feeling Gurley this year. Gurley was a great running back in his time, but injuries has made him sluggish. Seahawks winning 28-23.

NFL 100 DIME STRIP CLUB GOY RAVENS -7 The Ravens have only added to their madness and have almost every single player coming back (including the league MVP) while the Browns have their third offensive coordinator in three years and have had zero on-field trial-by-fire live games to go by, adjust and learn what works and what does not. If you have ever coached at any level, you know how important practice games are.

CFB 100 DIME GOM COASTAL CAROLINA +6 Coastal Carolina beat Kansas last year in a low scoring game. I have been watching this line, and 6 points is a great value. Kansas has 14 players out due to Covid. Both teams have vanilla defense, but the run is the key for Coastal Carolina. Take the 6 points for the money play.
