4-Unit Play: Take 970 HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5, RL Over LA ANGELS (8:10pm E, Tuesday, May 11th) We know, it's hard to go against the Angels when Ohtani's pitching and he's got a darn good bat, too. One of the most fun players to watch in baseball and he's probably the best on the mound and with the bat, since Babe Ruth (good company to be in). But, don't overlook Lance McCullers and the Houston lineup, at home. McCullers is pitching about as well as anyone and Houston is a hard place for visiting pitchers - it can get away from them fast. We like the Astros to start this series off with a big win.

4-Unit Play: Take 976 NY METS -1.5, RL Over BALTIMORE (7:10pm E, Tuesday, May 11th) Yes, we know what you're thinking: "But Means just threw a no-hitter his last time out - almost a perfect game." We know, we watched it and that's exactly why we're taking Stroman (who's no slouch) and the Mets, at home. If you watch much PGA Tour Golf, you'll notice that when guys shoot 63 on Thursday, they usually follow that up with an even par day (or worse) on Friday. Why? Because Thursday was so easy and EVERYTHING went their way, so they take things for granted and (usually) everything doesn't go so well on Friday. Same thing with a no-hitter. Means will take things for granted and the pitches won't react the same in New York. Baltimore is coming off a big win, which we predicted, yesterday. We expect things to be much different, today.

4-Unit Play: Take 954 WASHINGTON NATIONALS -1.5, RL Over PHILLIES (7:05pm E, Tuesday, May 11th) We've said this so many times, but the Nationals are loaded, up and down the lineup, with sluggers. Phillies have a few of their own, but it seems like everyone but the pitcher can take it yard for the Nats. Both Chase Anderson and Eric Fedde have ERAs over 5 and we think that favors the team with the most sluggers. Look for Washington, at home, to take game one of this series.

5-Unit Play: Take 911 TEXAS RANGERS OVER SAN FRANCISCO (9:45 pm E, Monday, May 10th) The Rangers will start Kyle Gibson against the Giants' Alex Wood in what should be a pitching duel in San Fran, tonight. The wind is blowing out at 10 mph, but that doesn't mean a lot in San Francisco, with the heavy night air. Both pitchers have ERAs around 2, but we like the Rangers' bats in this matchup. Texas has a good 9-8 away record and we like them to outscore the Giants, tonight.

Jorge Lopez takes the hill for Baltimore against Boston's Martin Perez as they try to break a 3-game losing streak. If it's going to happen, it'll happen at home and if the Orioles' bats finally heat up, you should see a high scoring game with them coming out on top.

5-Unit Play: Take 901 CINCINNATI REDS -1.5, RL, Over PIRATES (6:35 pm E, Monday, May 10th) Pirates are playing good ball and they were our 7 Unit Play, yesterday, but they don't match up well with the Reds. The Big Red Machine has a stacked offense this year and, though they haven't shown it as much lately, look for it to breakout against the weaker and injured Pirates. The Pirates first base slugger, Moran, is still injured with a groin injury from Saturday's game and Votto, for the Reds is out, as well, so those two even out, but the rest of the Pittsburgh lineup doesn't match up at all and the Reds should roll today, with Jeff Hoffman on the mound and against Mitch Keller's 6.29 ERA.

7-Unit Play: Take 957 PITTSBURGH PIRATES +140 Over CUBS (2:20pm E, Sunday, May 9th) Tyler Anderson, for the Pirates, has nearly half the ERA of the Cubs' Kyle Hendricks. Hard to believe, especially after the stuff we saw Hendricks throw against Kershaw and the Dodgers, last week. As we said the other day, the wind blowing in, at Wrigley, makes it super hard to hit home runs, but when it's blowing straight in at 15 MPH, it takes all the "stuff" off of pitches, making the ball easier to hit. Pirates have been right there, the first two games of this series and tried to catch up in the ninth, coming very close, both times. Look for them to get out of the box earlier, today, and put pressure on Chicago's bullpen, which has not been good, those first two games.

5-Units: Take 930 LA ANGELS Over LA DODGERS (9:07pm E, Saturday, May 8th) After his showing in Chicago, last week (didn't get out of the 1st inning), we think Kershaw needs a home game to right himself, not a crosstown rival. His control was awful, last week and they hit him like a punching bag. This Angels team is a better hitting team than the Cubs, so if he comes with anything like he had in Chicago, the Angels will exploit it early. We don't think we've ever gone against Kershaw twice in a row, but after what we saw last week, we feel this one calls for it. Dodgers aren't hitting well, either, so look for LAA to win this by a few.....or more.

If they can get 6 innings + out of Glasnow, they should be able to cruise home. Rays haven't gotten much respect this year, yet, but we like them getting hot, before the All Star break. Now, he is going against Kluber, with just over a 3.00 ERA, but you can actually throw those numbers out, against these two teams. Both teams are loaded with sluggers and the Nats are hitting better than the Yanks, right now. With Soto back and a plethora of good hitters, we're going to take Scherzer to keep the NY bats quiet, at least through the first six innings.

The pitchers, Crowe and Williams, aren't necessarily household names, so we see this total going over, fairly easily. Rizzo is hitting the ball as hard as ever and Baez hits everything hard, it seems. The wind is blowing in, which is why the total is so low, but there were plenty of base hits yesterday and it's a little easier wind today. A hard hit ball should make it out in left field.

After the cheating scandal in 2019, they (and their fans) wanted a sweep in the worst way. We think they'll come out steaming, this afternoon and, as well, Manager Aaron Boone is pushing them hard to win the first game of every series - you do that and you'll probably win your division. Nats pitcher, Corbin, doesn't impress us and the Yanks have a great bullpen, just in case Taillon and his 5.24 ERA gets in trouble. Soto is back for the Nats, but we don't think he'll be much of a factor, with the wind blowing in. This should be a pitcher's duel and we'll take Taillon over Corbin.

Neither pitcher is off to a good start, so you might expect a high-scoring game, but Wrigley is funny: when the wind is blowing out, it's one of MLB's smallest parks, but when it's blowing in, it's one of the biggest. 4-Unit Play: 905 MIAMI MARLINS Over ATLANTA (7:20pm E, Monday, April 12th) Atlanta played a great, last night, and they're really hitting the ball well, but Miami is playing well, too and few pitchers in the league are as good as Alcantara and the Marlins have some good bats of their own. We'll take the value, here, and bring home a win.

5-Unit Play: ATLANTA/PHILLY "OVER" (7:08pm E, Sunday, April 11th) These two teams are two of the best offensive teams in baseball and are just beginning to show it. With Moore and Smyly on the mound, look for this to go over, or practically over, in the the first 5 innings. This game, if you like offense, should be a fun one to watch!

6-Unit Play: STL CARDINALS -1.5, RL OVER BREWERS (2:15pm E, Sunday, April 11th) Brent Anderson just hasn't shown much for Milwaukee and is simply not reliable. On the other hand, Ponce de Leon has been steady. Cardinals were frustrated with yesterday's loss and, like most teams, HATE to lose at home, especially on a Sunday. With Arenado on the squad, now, they have some very potent bats. Look for a big win, today!

4-Unit Play: Take 909 PHILLIES/BRAVES "OVER" (7:20pm E, Saturday, April 10th) Both of these teams have been lighting it up, offensively, the last few games. Look for that to continue today, as these teams don't like one another and they'll do anything to beat the other. Look for aggressive play on the base pads.

4-Unit Play: Take 909 PHILLIES Over Atlanta Braves (7:20pm E, Saturday, April 10th) Both teams have been swinging hot bats and, typically you'd take the Braves, here, but Philadelphia has surprised, so far this year, with a very good team and with Elflin on the mound and back from his back injury we expect them to win this fairly high-scoring game.

5-Unit Play: Take 916 TAMPA BAY RAYS/NEW YORK YANKEES "OVER" There is lots of bad blood between these two teams and when things go South, they seem to spend more time focusing on getting even than playing good defense. Starting Pitchers, Archer and German have a 9 ERA and 13 ERA, respectively. Both teams swing great bats, with the only question mark being whether Aaron Judge is healthy, or not. If he is, we expect this to go way over, if not, we still see it going over, as the Yankees have to light up their bats and pay back Rays for last season and for yesterday's loss.

5-Unit Play: Take SF GIANTS -1.5 RL over Colorado (4:35pm E, Friday, April 9th) Same as was mentioned above in the first 5 innings. Look for the Giant's Cueto to be dominant and for the Rockies, Gomber to struggle. Bullpens favor the Giants and the Giant's bats are no slouches, either. Cueto should also go MUCH deeper into the game, than Gomber. Look for SF to win this one, going away.

4-Unit Play: Take 960 Tampa Bay Rays Over Yankees (3:10pm E, Friday, April 9th) The Yankees have been a thorn in Tampa Bay's side for a long time. Like everyone else in the League, no team is more fun to beat than the Yanks. Rays haven't changed much since their World Series run against the Dodgers, last year. It'll be "Can I through strikes vs Contrition: Yankees starter, Corey Kluber, hasn't found the plate, so far this season, and the Ray's 41 year old Rich Hill still has his stuff and needs to get through 5-innings - if he does that, the Rays back-ups will keep NYY bats quiet and win this game.

3-Unit Play: Take 901 MIAMI MARLINS Over NY METS (1:10pm E, Thursday, April 8th) The Mets are better, this year, but they shouldn't be giving ANYONE almost 2:1 odds. Especially a talented Miami Marlins. We'll take the high odds and our chances that the Marlins can hang with, and should beat the Mets. GOOD LUCK!
