Houston has a comfortable 7-game lead in the AL West over the Oakland A's and 8-games over the Mariners. They have won seven of their last 10 games and two in a row. They face the fourth place Angels today who are on a four-game losing streak and have also lost seven of their last 10 games. Jose Urquidy starts for the Houston and is having a fine season with a 7-3 record and 3.38 ERA. He's been better of late, going 3-0 with a 2.78 ERA in his last seven starts. In fact, he hasn't allowed over two runs in any of his last six starts. Packy Naughton makes only his fourth start for the Angels. Naughton is 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA. Naughton won't likely be around long, going past the fourth inning just once thus far and that was five innings. The Astros should score at will here today and may get this game over by themselves. Play the OVER.

The Cincinnati Reds still have a shot at that 2nd Wild Card spot. They trail the Cardinals by three-games for that playoff position. The Padres are one game back of the Reds and the Phillies 1.5-games back. So these games against the last place Pirates are important. Mitch Keller starts today for the Pirates with a 4-11 mark. He has a overall ERA of 6.14, but has been much better of late. Keller has a 4.80 ERA over his last seven starts and allowed six runs over his last 16 innings. Tyler Mahle will toe the rubber for the Reds. Mahle is 12-5 with a 3.58 ERA. He's been better of late, going 3-2 with a 3.02 ERA over his last seven starts. I'm going to take the UNDER here today with two decent starters.

If the NY Yankees hope to make the postseason they will have to better then they have of late. The New York Yankees are now 1.5-games back of that final Wild Card playoff spot in the American League. They have lost two straight games and are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Yankees will look to get a bit closer on the back of today's young start, Nestor Cortes. Cortes is 2-2 on the season with an overall 2.70 ERA. What impresses me is that in his 11 starts he's allowed three runs or fewer in 10 of those outings. And, in that other start, just four runs. Today, the Yankees will face Rangers starter A.J. Alexy who is 2-0 in his two starts with a 0.00 ERA. Alexy has look excellent, allowing just two total hits over his 11 innings with five walks and 11 KO's. I'm impressed with both these young starters and if they hold form this game will be an under. The Yankees have now dropped to 9-games back of the Rays in the AL East and 4th overall in the division. They are just a 1/2 game back in the Wild Card race so they need to win. The Indians are 11 games back in the AL Central and 10 back in the Wild Card. Eli Morgan starts for the Indians. He's had a tough season at 2-7 and a 6.03 ERA. However, his six starts on the road haven't been bad at 1-1 with a 3.31 ERA. Gerrit Cole goes the Yankees. Cole is 15-7 with a 2.75 ERA. He's allowed just four runs over his last five starts (27 2/3 innings). Don't see Cleveland getting much if anything here today. Play the UNDER.    

Las Vegas played an exciting game last week as they came from behind to tie Baltimore and send the game into OT. Both teams had a chance and both teams turned the ball over, Vegas doing so on 1st and goal at the half yard line. But Vegas finally won an exciting game on a Carr TD pass to Jones for the win before almost 70,000 fans at Allegiant Stadium. However, the win didn't come without a price, the Raiders suffered injuries, especially on the offensive line where they are very thin heading into this week's game. Pittsburgh overcame a deficit to come back and win their game at Buffalo, 23-16. Their defense was once again very good when it needed to be. This week Vegas has to come down from their high and travel cross country to take on a very good Steelers team. The Vegas defense is improved, but they still give up points and that was evident last week. I look for both teams to get plenty of points here on Sunday. Take the OVER.

The Phillies and Mets both fighting for that last NL Wildcard slot. The Phillies in better position though as they are just 2.5-games back of St Louis while the Mets are 5-games back. The Phils are 3-games back of the Braves for the NL East lead while the Mets are 5.5-games back. The Mets will try to snap a 3-game losing skid here tonight. They will send All-Star pitcher Taijuan Walker to the hill. Walker is 7-9 overall with a 4.24 ERA. He's been better at home with a 4-3 record and 3.41 ERA in 13 starts. Philly will send Zack Wheeler to the mound. Wheeler is 13-9 on the season with a nifty 2.86 ERA. He's allowed only one run over his last two starts (12 2/3 innings). I look for this game to be a close, low scoring affair. Take UNDER.

 The Yankees have been slumping and it's seen them fall from 2nd to tied for 3rd with the Blue Jays in the AL East. They are in a dog fight for one of those AL Wildcard spots with the Jays and Red Sox. The Yankees start Nestor Cortes today who is 2-2 in his 10 starts with a nifty 2.85 ERA. He's allowed more than three runs just one time in his 10 starts. John Means will toe the rubber for the O's with a 5-7 record and 3.42 ERA. Means has allowed two runs in each of his last three starts and that includes against these Yankees on Sept 3 in a 3-4 no decision. Both pitchers are very good and should keep this score in check. Miami Marlins are 6-4 in their last 10 games and look to extend their win streak to two games here tonight. The Marlins beat the Nationals on Monday night, 3-0. The will send Jesus Luzardo to the hill tonight. Luzardo is 4-6 on the season with a 6.25 ERA. He's been way worse on the road, posting a 0-2 record and a 9.64 in three away starts. The Nats will counter with Erick Fedde tonight. Fedde is 6-9 with a 5.31 ERA. He's been slightly worse of late with a 6.03 ERA and 2-2 record. Both starters likely not around long in this one. I'll take the OVER.

 Missouri opened 2021 play last week with a home win over Central Michigan, 34-24. The Kentucky Wildcats also opened with a win last week over La-Monroe, 45-10. Missour QB Connor Bazelak completed 65% of his passes with 257 yards and two TD'as last week. Kentucky looks to improve to 2-0 this season, something they have done four times in the last five years. QB Will Levis had a good week last week, completing 69% of his passes for 367 yards and four TD's. Missouri has historically been a good under team, going 8-21 in their last 29 overall games. Both teams pretty much had cake walks last week. So this will be the first big test for both clubs. I look for a close game and a low scoring game. Play the UNDER.

The Kansas City Royals look to snap a 2-game losing streak here tonight against the Baltimore Orioles. These teams play the fourth game of their set with the Royals taking game one and then losing the next two. Carlos Hernandez will start tonight for the Royals. Hernandez is 4-1 in his eight starts with a 3.11 ERA. He's been good in his two road starts, going 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA. John Means starts today for the O's with a 5-6 record and 3.47 ERA. Means has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last three starts. I like this game to go under the total tonight. Play UNDER.

You couldn't find a more exciting match for the lone game here on this Labor Day Monday as Louisville visits Mercedes-Bens Stadium in Atlanta, GA to take on Ole Miss. Surprisingly, this is the first time these teams have ever met on the football field. Louisville is coming off a poor 4-7 campaign last season, though they do return a solid QB in Malik Cunningham who threw for 2,617 yards and 20 TD's last season. The ground game will miss the return of Javian Hawkins. This team averaged 5.2 yards per run last year. The question with the Cardinals is youth, they have one of the youngest teams in college football this year with 70 freshmen. Ole Miss has QB Matt Corral back this year to a team that broke the SEC record for total offense at 562 yards pr game average. Corral will have lots of experience back around him both in the backfield and at receivers. You would think over with these teams. However, the oddsmaker put up a whopping 75 point over/under and that's just too much in my opinion. Take the UNDER.

The AL Central last place Minnesota Twins take on the AL East leading Tampa Bay Rays here tonight. The Twins lost both games of their 2-games series with the Cubs and have split their last six games. The Rays saw their 9-game winning streak come to an end against the Boston Red Sox. They lost the last two games to the Sox as they still lead the Yankees by 6.5-games in the LA East. The Twins start Randy Dobnak tonight. Dobnak is 1-3 in his five starts with a 6.25 ERA. Michal Wacha starts for the Rays. Wacha is 2-4 on the season with a 4.93 ERA. He's been slightly worse of late, going 0-2 over his last seven starts with a 6.48 ERA. I'm going to take the OVER here today.

Ohio State and Minnesota open Big 10 play here on Thursday as the Buckeyes make their first trip to TCF Bank Stadium in seven years. The Buckeyes will re-load this year as QB C.J. Stroud makes his debut at the starting QB. The Gophers played only seven games in the shortened 2020 Covid season, finishing a disappointing 3-4. The Gophers had one of their worst defenses in recent memory last year. However, with the depth of talent on this year's roster, there is optimism for a much improved defense and season. With Ohio State having a core of QB's, none of which have thrown a pass in a college game, I look for this game to be lower scoring. Take the UNDER tonight.

The San Francisco Giants have given up first place in the NL West to the Dodgers. The Giants are now a half game back of the Dodgers. The Giants can thank a four-game losing skid for the drop. The Giants offense has gone South too, with just five total runs over their last games. The Brewers have taken the first three games of this four-game set with dominating pitching. Eric Lauer starts today for the Brewers with a 4-5 record and 3.20 ERA. He's been better of late, going 2-2 with a 2.04 ERA. The Giants will try and stop their skid with one of their best pitchers in Logan Webb. Webb is 8-3 on the season with a 2.67 ERA. He's been great at home with a 5-09 record and 1.75 ERA. I can't play the Giants, but I do like the UNDER here tonight.

The Dodgers edge ever closer to the Giants for 1st place in the NL West. LA is now 1.5 games back after beating Atlanta on Monday. The Dodgers have won seven of their last 10 games. The Atlanta Braves are still in 1st place in the AL East, 3.5 games ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves are the only team in the East with a positive differential number of +90. The Dodgers are a MLB best +211 run differential. Charlie Morton starts today for the Braves with a 12- record and 3.54 ERA. He's been slightly better on the road where he is 7-2 with a 2.94 ERA. The Dodgers will start Walker Buehler who is 13-2 on the season with a nifty 2.02 ERA. He's been great of late, going 3-1 with a 1.13 ERA over his last seven starts. Tough side to call here, so I'll stick with the total. Play UNDER.

The Broncos and Rams play their final game of the preseason here on Saturday from Denver. The Rams have lost both preseason games, 16-17 to the Las Vegas Raiders and 6-13 to the LA Chargers. Rams HC Sean McVay is a coach that doesn't like playing starters and that shows in this preseason. Doubt we'll see new QB Matthew Stafford make his Rams debut here today either. The Rams take the other approach and have been playing starters. That has resulted in outscoring opponents in the first two games, 63-9. I expect to see starters again here on Saturday, which means more Denver points. The Broncos lack of preseason success seems to be an emphasis for this year's approach. It appears QB Teddy Bridgewater has won the starter role over Drew Lock. So how much we'll see of Bridgewater here today is yet to be seen. Despite all the questions, Denver should dictate the pace and score plenty of points. Take the OVER

The SF Giants have been hot, but the Dodgers even hotter. The 1st place Giants have seen their lead in the NL West shrink to just 1.5-games after losing to the Braves in game one of their set on Friday, 5-6. That loss snapped a five game win streak for the Giants. The Braves are also in 1st place in the their division, the NL East. They lead the Phillies by 6-games. The Braves had won nine-games in a row before they ran into the NY Yankees buzzsaw. The Yankees took both games vs the Braves so it was nice to get back to the winning ways here last night over the Giants. The Giants will start Logan Webb. Webb is 7-3 on the season with a nifty 2.87 ERA. He's been even better of late, going 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA over his last seven starts. The Braves will start Huascar Ynoa tonight. Ynoa is 4-3 with a nice 2.95 ERA. His home ERA is slightly better at 2.15. I like both these teams to be in a pitcher's battle tonight. I'll take the UNDER.

The Cardinals and Pirates play game three of their set here tonight from Pittsburgh. The Pirates took game one on Thursday, 11-7 and the Cards took last night's game, 4-3. Adam Wainwright starts for the Cardinals tonight. Wainwright is 12-7 with a 3.10 ERA. He's been very good of late, posting a 5-1 record and 1.76 ERA and 0.843 WHIP over his last seven starts. The Bucs will start Steven Brault who is 0-2 in his four starts but has a nice 1.93 ERA. All four of Brault's games have gone UNDER. I like both these pitchers here tonight and I will take the UNDER.

The Buffalo Bills look to go 3-0 in the preseason as they host the Green Bay Packers here on Saturday. The Bills rolled past Chicago last week, 41-15. The Packers have lost both of their preseason games. The Packers look to play both QB Jacob Love and Kurt Benkert here today. While Green Bay will sit most of their starters, the Bills are expect to play a lot of their starters here today. Coach Sean McDermott has said he's playing the starters. That being said, with the Bills number ones vs the Packers backups, there could be another 40+ performance in store for the Bills here today. Play the OVER.

These two teams are sick of each other by this time. They scrimmaged against each other most of last week with numerous fights breaking out and the last scrimmage cut short due to fighting. Word from the training facility is that the Rams and Mathew Stafford looked horrible. The Rams offense was completely out of sync and Stafford tossed numerous interceptions. Vegas looked good, their defense looks much improved from last season and it's showed thus far in the preseason and at the Rams camp. I don't see the Rams getting much going here on Saturday, I'm taking the UNDER.

The NY Jets won their preseason opener last week over their rivals, the Giants while the Packers are coming off a loss to the Texans. The Jets will play their 2nd in a row on the road while the Packers play their 2nd in a row at home. The Jets drafted Zach Wilson from BYU with the 2nd over pick. Wilson played a few possessions last week in the Jets 12-7 win. The defense only allowed the Giants a total of 163 yards. With the Packers QB's in chaos at the moment, the Jets defense looks to dominate again this week. The Packers scored just seven points last week and with Rodgers not playing in the preseason I don't expect this team to get much more than that here today. Take the UNDER.

 The Atalanta Braves are in 1st place in the NL East, thanks in big part to their six-game win streak and winning nine of their last 10 games. Today, they play an IL Game against the worst team in the junior circuit. Baltimore is just 38-82 on the season and has lost 15 straight games. Max Fried gets the start for the Braves with a 10-7 record and 3.86 ERA. He's been even better of late, going 5-2 with a 2.36 ERA over his last seven starts. Keegan Akin still looking for his first win of the year for the O's with a 0-7 record in his 10 starts. He has a lofty 9.29 ERA and as hard as it is to believe it's even worse of late with a 0-6 record and 12.67 ERA over his last seven starts. Take this game over in what should be a wide open affair.

 The Red Sox have lost two straight games and that has dropped them to 5-games back of the Rays in the AL East. The Yankees 5-game win streak has moved them into a 2nd place tie with the Yankees and 1 percentage point ahead of them though both teams are 5-back in the race. Nick Pivetta starts for the Red Sox with a 9-5 record and 4.20 ERA on the season. Andrew Heaney will counter for the Yankees. Heaney is 7-8 on the season with a 5.78 ERA. He's been slightly worse of late, going 3-2 with a 6.51 ERA over the last seven games. The Yankees have taken that 2nd Wild Card spot away from the Red Sox, at least for now. I look for a high scoring game here today. Play the OVER.

Interleague action here on Wednesday has the Toronto Blue Jays taking on the Nationals from Washington DC. The Blue Jays are dropping in the AL East, losing six of their last 10 games has them now 9-games back in the division. The Jays lost to the Nationals on Tuesday, 6-12. Toronto has gone over in five of their last six games. Jose Berrios starts for the Jays today. Berrios is 8-6 with a 3.52 ERA on the season. Josiah Gray starts for the Nationals. Gray is 0-1 in his three starts with a 3.15 ERA. Washington is 8-1-1 O/U in their last 10 games as a home dog. These teams have gone over three times in their last four meetings with one pushing. I'm taking the OVER here today.

The Chicago Cubs cleaned house at the trade deadline and it shows, now having lost eight straight games and 18.5-games back of 1st place Milwaukee. The Marlins are in last place in the NL East, 12-games back of the Phillies. The Marlins lost two of three to the Padres, taking the final game last night 7-0. Adbert Alzolay will start for the Cubs with a 4-12 record and 4.71 ERA. He's 1-7 on the road this year with a 5.06 ERA. However, he's did come off a very good start vs the White Sox, allowing just two runs over 6 2/3 innings. Jesus Luzardo will start for the Marlins. Luzardo is 2-4 in his eight starts with a 6.69 ERA. He's been better at home with a 2-2 record and 4.95 ERA. The Cubs offense has not been good since losing their biggest offensive stars. Despite two poor starters, I'm going to take the UNDER here tonight. Play UNDER. 

The Yankees trying to get back into the AL East race, now trail 1st place Tampa Bay by 6.5 games. They have won eight of their last 10 games, but so have the Rays. The Royals are 4th in the AL Central, now 17-games back of the White Sox. Jameson Taillon will start tonight for the Yanks. Taillon is 7-4 this season with a 4.04 ERA. He's slightly worse on the road where he is 3-3 with a 5.27 ERA. Carlos Hernandez will start for the Royals. Hernandez is 2-1 in his four starts with a 3.57 ERA. He is 1-1 at home with a 4.26 ERA. These two teams are 6-0-2 O/U in their last eight meetings and 4-0-1 O/U in their last 5 meetings in KC. I'll take the OVER today.

Freeway series here has the LA Angels at Chavez Ravine to take on their cross-town rivals, LA Dodgers. Can't say both teams having same success this year. The Angels are in 4th place in the AL West with a 56-54 record. They have won four straight games though. The Dodgers are 65-45 and in 2nd in the NL West, 4-games back of the Giants. The Angels will start Jaime Barria who is 2-0 in his only two starts this year. Barria has allowed just two runs over 13 2/3 innings for a 1.32 eRA and 0.805 WHIP. The Dodgers will start Julio Urias who is 13-3 on the season with a 3.40 ERA and 3.88 ERA at home this year. If Barria pitches the way he has in his first two starts, this has the makings of a excellent pitcher's duel tonight. I'll take the UNDER between these two starters. Play UNDER.

The Yankees have won seven of their last 10 games and still sit 6-games back of the Rays in the AL East. They demolished the Orioles on Tuesday, 13-1 after losing the opening game of the set, 1-7. The Orioles are last in the division, 25-games back. They also have the worst run differential in the AL with a -143 runs. Matt Harvey starts today with a 6-10 season record and 6.20 ERA. Jameson Taillon will go for the Yanks with a 7-4 record and 4.11 ERA. Both starters have been doing good lately, but I'm still going with the OVER as both pens are suspect. Play OVER.

The Oakland A's win over the Angels on Friday extended their win streak to three games. They still trail the Houston Astros by 5.5-games. The Angels have lost two straight games and are 12.5-games back of the Astros. Cole Irvin starts for the A's with a 7-9 record and 3.62 ERA. He's been better of late, going 3-2 with a 3.46 ERA over his last seven starts. Jaime Barria will toe the rubber for the Halos. Barria has only one start and that was a win last week at Minnesota where he allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings. Good first start for Barria. In fact, both these pitchers look very good. I'm taking the UNDER tonight.

The Colorado Rockies looking towards next year as they sit 20.5-games back of the Giants in the West. The Rockies have lost two straight and six of their last 10 games. They will face the 3rd place Padres. The Padres have a excellent 60-55 record that would be good for 1st place in most divisions, but in the NL West it's 3rd place, 5.5-games back. Colorado starts Jon Gray who is 6-6 on the season with a 3.76 ERA. The Padres counter with Ryan Weathers, who is 2-1 in 12 starts with a 3.02 ERA. Both pitchers are good and I'll be on the under tonight. Play UNDER.

Interleague action today has the St Louis Cardinals playing at the Cleveland Indians. The Cardinals are 51-50, finally climbing back over the .500 mark. They have won seven of their last 10 games. The Cleveland Indians may be in 2nd in the AL Central, but they trail first place Chicago by 9.5-games. Kwang-Hyun Kim will start for the Cards. Kim is 6-5 on the season with a 2.88 ERA. HE's been even better of late with a 5-1 mark and 1.88 ERA. The Indians will start Zach Plesac. Plesac is 5-3 on the season with a 4.30 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 4.07 ERA and 0.952 WHIP. I like this to be a lower scoring game. Play UNDER.

The Oakland A's have lost two straight and now dropped to 4.5-games back of the Houston Astros in the AL West. The Mariners are 3rd in the West, 7-games back of the Astros. Seattle has won two-straight games. The A's will start Cole Irvin who is 7-8 on the season with a 3.42 ERA. Seattle counters with Marco Gonzales who is 2-5 on the season with a 5.55 ERA. Neither pitcher is one I expect to be around much past the 5th inning here today. I'll take the over and look for runs scored today. Play OVER.

The Detroit Tigers have lost two straight, including Saturday's game to the Royals. Still, they are 7-3 their last 10 games. The Royals have now won four straight games, still 16-games back in the AL Central. The Tigers will start Tarik Skubal today with a 6-7 record and 4.25 ERA. He's been a bit worse on the road with a 5.45 ERA. Daniel Lynch will go for the Royals. Lynch is 0-2 in his three starts with a 15.73 ERA. Not sure how much longer they will go with this guy the way he's pitching. However, for me, this means a great over play today. Take OVER.

The Chicago White Sox are cruising in the AL Central, now 9-games ahead of 2nd place Cleveland. The Sox have one of the best run differentials in baseball with a +118. They play an IL Game here tonight at Milwaukee. The Brewers also find themselves in a comfortable situation, 6.5 games in the lead in the NL Central. The Sox will start Carlos Rondon today. Rondon having a fine season with a 8-3 record in 16 starts with a nifty 2.14 ERA. Rondon has allowed just one run over his last two starts (13 innings). Corbin Burnes will start for the Brewers. Burnes is 5-4 on the season with a 2.06 ERA and even better 1.86 ERA in his last seven starts. He's allowed three total runs over his last four starts (27 1/3 innings). Should be a great pitcher's duel here tonight. Play the UNDER.

The Toronto Blue Jays look to snap a three-game losing streak here today at the NY Mets. The Jays have fallen to 4th in the AL East, 9.5-games back of the Red Sox. The Mets are in 1st in the NL East, four-games up on 2nd place Philly. The Jays will start Hyun-Jin Ryu. Ryu is 9-5 on the season and a bright spot for the Jays. He has a solid 3.32 ERA and 3.21 road ERA. He's only allowed one run over his last two starts (12 innings). The Mets start All-Star Taijuan Walker. Walker is 7-3 on the season with a 2.99 ERA and 1.75 home ERA. Both pitchers are very good and for me, I'll take this one to go UNDER.

The Tampa Bay Rays are knocking on the door of first place Boston, now trailing the Red Sox by just 1-game. The Rays have the best run differential in the division with +87 runs. The Cleveland Indians have lost two straight games and now trail the White Sox in the AL Central by 9-games. The Tribe, soon to be Guardians, have a -26 run differential. The Rays will start Drew Rasmussen. Rasmussen makes his second start of the season and had a 9.00 ERA in his first start, just two innings against Washington allowing two runs. Cleveland will counter with Jean Carlos Mejia. Mejia looking for his first win, sitting 0-5 on the season with a 8.80 ERA. Two bad pitchers here with good hitting teams. Take the OVER.

Game four of the NBA Finals as the Milwaukee Bucks look to even this series at 2-2 here on Wednesday. The Bucks made some adjustments in game three and they paid off big. Milwaukee won game three 120-100. The Bucks fell behind 25-28 after one quarter but used a 35-17 2nd quarter to get the lead and cruised the rest of the way. I expect the Suns to be more focused here on Wednesday. However, I still believe Milwaukee will win this game, though not by the game three margin. Home court means a lot in this series and this one is looking more and more like a 7-game series. As for the total, game three just got under by two-points, but it looked like an over all along. The Suns are 4-0-1 O/U/P in their last five games. The Bucks are also 4-0-1 O/U/P their last five games. In addition, the Bucks are 16-4-2 O/U/P their last 22 games vs a team with a winning S/U record. I'm going to take the OVER here tonight.

All Star game here on Tuesday from Colorado after last year's game was cancelled due to the abbreviated Covid-19 season. There will be missing players from this game. Most notably are Dodgers' Mookie Betts, as he's citing injuries that he's battled as the reason. Also missing, all the Astros players, including Altuve, Correa, Brantley and Pressly. Most of the Astros will opt out likely because of recent cheating allegations against Houston. That will make the Astros the only team in MLB with no players attending the Mid-season classic. Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom will also opt out of the All-Star game. Still, there will be plenty of players and action. Last year's game was a 4-3 AL win. The AL has dominated this series, especially of late as they have won seven straight. They have also been lower scoring games with only the 2018 game getting more than nine runs (8-6 AL win). Despite the lower scoring games in recent years I'm going with the OVER here today. This also has one of the highest totals in recent memory, a 10 1/2 or 11 on this game. Expect to see a higher scoring game on Tuesday. Play the OVER.

Game three of the NBA Championships moves to Milwaukee as the Bucks are down 0-2 after a couple of double digit losses in Phoenix. The Bucks have their collective backs up against the wall here as they can ill afford to go down 0-3 here tonight. The Bucks got Giannas back for game two but that didn't help much as they still couldn't solve the Suns. Now they return home and that means a must win here tonight. The Bucks are 3-7 Ov/Un in their last 10 home games. They are also 2-6-1 O/U/P in their last nine playoff games as a favorite. Five of the last seven meetings between these teams in Milwaukee have gone UNDER. That's what I'm taking tonight. UNDER.

It's the final of the 2020 EURO Futbal championship as Italy takes on England for the title. Home advantage here today to England as this game will be played in Wembley Stadium. Italy got here via a penalty shootout with Spain. England was tied with Denmark, 1-1 after regulation and that game too 120 minutes of play for England to come out on top, 2-1. England hasn't played in a major tournament final for 55 years. Italy bring a 33-game unbeaten streak into today's contest and a +76-goal differential. England had five clean sheets in a row before Denmark broke that streak early in their semifinal game. That's a testament to this English defense, which has been great. I see this game being tied at the end of regulation, possibly 0-0! I don't believe these two teams will put three goals on the board in regulation to get this game over. I will take the UNDER and look for a close, hard fought contest. PLAY UNDER.

NL Central contest here today between division leading Milwaukee Brewers and 2nd place Cincinnati Reds. The Reds trail Milwaukee by 5-games. They closed the gap by winning two straight games and eight of their last 10 while the Brewers are just 5-5 over their last 10 games. Luis Castillo goes today for the Reds. Castillo is just 3-10 on the season with a 4.81 ERA. However, he's pitched much better of late, posting a 2-2 record and 2.00 and 0.956 WHIP over his last seven starts. In fact, he has not allowed more than three runs in any of those starts. Brandon Woodruff will toe the rubber today for the Brewers. Woodruff is 7-4 in his 17 starts with a nifty 2.10 ERA and 0.783 WHIP. Both these pitchers have been very good and I'm taking the UNDER today. Play UNDER.

The Detroit Tigers have won seven of their last 10 games and climbed past KC into 3rd in the AL Central, though they are still 11.5-games back of the White Sox. The Twins remain in last in the division after losing their last two games and seven of the last 10. They are now 15.5-games out of 1st place. Tarik Skubal starts for the Tigers tonight. Skubal is 5-6 on the season with a 4.44 ERA and slightly worse 5.67 road ERA. JA Happ will toe the rubber for the Twins. Happ is 4-4 on the season with a 6.09 ERA and has a 6.88 ERA over his last seven games. Both pitchers coming off poor starts and as such I'm taking the over here tonight. Play OVER.

The St Louis Cardinals have dropped to 4th in the NL Central with a 42-43 record, now 9-games back of the Brewers. The Cardinals won yesterday and have won six of their last 10 games but still have a -39 run differential this season. The Giants cling to a slim 1/2-game lead over the Dodgers as both clubs lost last night. The Giants are 53-31 and have a run differential of +104 runs. Adam Wainwright will start today for the red birds. Wainwright is 6-5 in his 16 starts with a 3.49 ERA and worse 5.35 road ERA. However, he has been pitching well of late, posting a 4-1 record and 2.93 ERA over his last seven starts. Johnny Cueto will start for the Giants. Cueto is 6-4 in his 13 starts with a 4.00 ERA. At home he's been good, posting a 5-2 record and 2.81 ERA. Both pitchers do well in their current spots and I look for a lower scoring contest here tonight. Play UNDER.

Game one of the NBA Finals has the Milwaukee Bucks facing off against the Phoenix Suns. The main news for Bucks fans is the health of start player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who hasn't played since game 4 of the Atlanta Hawks series. Currently, Antetokounmpo, is listed as "doubtful" in the injury report with his knee issues. Even without Antetokounmpo, the Bucks won the final two games of their series with the Hawks. The Suns look to be healthy as guard Chris Paul is probable with a hand injury. Milwaukee makes its first NBA finals appearance since 1974 and the Suns since 1993. I'll be looking at the over here tonight. Even though the Suns are considered a very good defensive team, they are 14-6 O/U in their last 20 games as a favorite. The Bucks are 16-5-1 O/U/P their last 22 games against a team with a winning straight-up record. The last four meetings between these clubs have seen all four go over. And, the last five in Phoenix has seen four of the five go over. Tonight, take the OVER.

The only thing left in this year's Stanley Cup finals is whether it's tonight or the next game before Tampa defends it's Stanley Cup Championship. The Lightning are up 3-0 and look unstoppable, even by Canadien goalie Carey Price. Goalie Andrei Vasilevsky has been amazing with a 15-6 record in the playoffs and a 1.94 GAA average. He's been even better against Montreal with a 3-0 record and 1.67 GAA. The only question is whether Montreal will play for some pride here in game four or pack it in. The total is still at 5.0 here tonight despite some high scores by the Lightning. I have no doubt that the Lightning can keep the Candiens scoring down. I'm going to hope that Price plays like he did in the Vegas series here tonight and take the UNDER.

AL Central matchup here today as the Kansas City Royals host the Minnesota Twins. The Royals are in 4th in the division with a 35-47 record and while they have won two straight, that is on the heels of a 8-game losing streak. The Twins are in last in the division with a 33-48 record and have lost five straight and seven of their last 10 games. Kenta Maeda starts for the Twins with a 3-3 record in his 12 starts and a 5.72 ERA and 6.29 road ERA. Brad Keller will toe the rubber for the Royals. Keller is 6-8 in his 17 starts with a 6.67 ERA and 7.97 home ERA. Neither pitcher should be around long in this one. Look for lots of runs. Play the OVER.

The San Diego Padres have dropped back to 4.5-games behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West. The Padres have lost three straight games. The Phillies have won two straight games and are four back of the NY Mets in the NL East. The Mets are the only team in the East with a winning record. The Padres will start Blake Snell who has a 5.29 ERA this season. Snell has been great at home, posting a 3-0 record in his seven starts with a 1.43 ERA. However, on the road that number is 0-3 with a 10.36 ERA. The Phillies will start Vincent Velasquez who is 3-2 in his 12 starts with a 3.99 ERA. Valasquez is coming off a very nice start, allowing no runs and just two hits over seven innings vs the Marlins. The way Snell has pitched on the road I look for lots of runs in this game. Game four of the Eastern Conference Championship tonight has the Atlanta Hawks with their backs against the wall after dropping the last two games. The Hawks took game one and then lost games two and three. They can even things tonight but may have to do so without their star player in Trae Young. Young has an ankle injury and is questionable for tonight's contest. The loss of Young could mean 25.3 points per game they have to make up for. The Bucks finally seem to be playing up to their potential the last few games. The Hawks have just 102 and 91 points in their last two games. Milwaukee is 1-5-1 O/U/P in their last seven games as a favorite. The Hawks are 1-6 O/U in their last seven overall. Can't see the Hawks getting many points here tonight if Young doesn't play. I'll take the UNDER.

Game five here tonight from Phoenix as the Suns can wrap things up with a win as they lead 3-1. Kwahi Leonard will miss again tonight for the Clippers wit his knee injury. The last game was a very poor offensive showing by both teams as the final came in at 84-80 Phoenix. I already see oddsmaker and bettors pushing this total down to now around 212. Considering they have already had 220 totals, this is a big drop. For me, I'm looking for a return to normalcy tonight as both teams get back to some scoring. I'm going against the bettors and the oddsmaker here and taking the OVER.

The Cubs and Brewers are battling for the lead in the NL Central. The Cubs trail the Brewers by 3-games after losing three straight while the Brewers have won five straight. They hope to take a bite out of that lead here tonight. Kyle Hendricks will start for the Cubs. Hendricks is 10-4 in his 15 starts with a 3.84 ERA. Hendricks has allowed no runs over his last 12 innings with 12 KO's and two BB's. The Brewers start Freddy Peralta who is 7-2 in his 14 starts with a 2.16 ERA and an even better 1.62 home ERA. Peralta has not allowed over two runs in any of his last eight starts. Looks like a low scoring game here on Monday. Play UNDER.

After stealing game one against the Milwaukee bucks, the Atlanta Hawks had a horrid game two, losing 91-125. Now they return to their home court State Farm Arena for game three with the series tied 1-1. The Bucks put together a complete game two, something we haven't seen from them in these playoffs. Good news for the Hawks is that whether they lost by 1-point or 25-points, it's still just one loss and they are tied in the series. This is a key game for Atlanta as they need to stop the team they saw in game two. The Bucks are 2-6-1 O/U in their last nine games. Atlanta is 1-5 O/U in their last six games. And, the last seven meetings between these clubs has seen five go under. The Hawks don't want to get into a shootout here today. I'll take the UNDER.

Reason: The Washington Nationals have climbed their way back into the NL East race, now in 2nd place just 5-game back of the Mets. The Marlins have won two straight, but they are still in last place with a 33-43 record. The Nats will start Max Scherzer today. Lots of trade rumors swirling around Scherzer, but you wonder if those will persist now that the Nats are back in the race for the division. Scherzer is 6-4 on the season with a 2.19 ERA. He's allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last nine starts. Miami will counter with Sandy Alcantara. Alcantara is 4-6 in his 16 starts with a 2.84 ERA and slightly better 2.19 home ERA. Alcantara has allowed just three total runs over his last four starts (30 1/3 innings). He also goes deep into games, with at least eight inning pitched in four of his last six games. Should be a good pitchers duel here today. I'm taking UNDER.

The NY Mets have opened up a 5-game lead in the NL East. They have done this despite winning just five of their last 10 games. The only team who has done better has been the Nationals and they have moved into 2nd place. The Phillies have dropped to fourth place in the division thanks to a 3-7 mark their last 10 games. Philly will turn to Zack Wheeler today to get things going. Wheeler is 5-4 in his 15 starts with a 2.36 ERA. He has a slightly better 2.04 road ERA and 2-2 record. Wheeler has been very consistent, allowing three runs or fewer in each of his last nine starts. The Mets turn to Marcus Stroman today. Stroman is 6-5 in his 15 starts with a 2.32 ERA. He's been better at home with a 1.96 ERA. Like Wheeler, Stroman has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last seven starts. Both pitchers are good and that should keep this one lower scoring. Play UNDER.

The Atlanta Braves have dropped to third place in the NL East, now 5-games back of the NY Mets. The Cincinnati Reds are in third place in the NL Central, five-games back of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Braves start Ian Anderson today. Anderson is 5-3 in his 14 starts with a 3.33 ERA. Luis Castillo will toe the rubber for the Reds. Castillo having a poor season at 2-10 in his 15 starts and a 5.61 ERA. Both these teams should get their good share of runs today. I'll take the OVER.

Game two of the Eastern Conference finals has the Hawks leading 1-0 after stealing game one in Milwaukee, 116-113. That also snapped a four game under streak for the Hawks. Ever since Nate McMillan took over as coach for the Hawks they have been an amazing team. Still, the oddsmaker gives them little respect here today as the line is once again 7 to 8 points on the Bucks. Trae Young was amazing in game one, hitting for 48-points. Milwaukee has also been a good under team in these playoffs, with a 2-5-1 O/U/P record in their last eight games. Tonight, all pressure is off the Hawks as they would gladly go back to Atlanta having taken at least one game. I'm going to stick with the trends between these teams as four of the last five in this series have gone UNDER. Play the Under tonight.

The Atlanta Hawks put a shock into Vegas Sports books with their win over No 1 Philly in their last series. Both teams won in seven games to advance to these Eastern Conference finals. The Bucks needed a thrilling OT win over the Nets to advance here tonight. The Atlanta Hawks have now defeated the top two defenses in the NBA. The Hawks are 35-15 S/U and 31-18-1 ATS since Nate McMillian took over as coach of Atlanta. The Bucks used a very good defense to shutdown one of the best offensive teams in the NBA in the Nets. Atlanta allowed just 101.5 ppg over their last four games and going well under the posted total. They should have little trouble holding this Milwaukee team down too. Take the UNDER.

Game one of the NBA Western Conference Finals has the Phoenix Suns hosting the LA Clippers. The Suns are the 2-seed while the Clippers are the 4-seed. LA needed to rally from a 0-2 deficit to beat Utah in seven games. And they did this without their star player in Kawhi Leonard who was out since game four of the Utah series. Both teams will be without their star players here today. Leonard will miss game one with that knee injury. Chris Paul will miss for the Suns as he sits out with Covid-19 protocols. Suns one of the best defensive teams in the NBA and without two big offensive weapons, I look for this game to go UNDER.

The Milwaukee Brewers are just one game back of AL Central leading Chicago Cubs. They are this close despite losing five straight games. The Colorado Rockies have won five straight games, but still sit in 4th in the NL West 15.5-games back of the Giants. Adrian Houser starts today for the Brewers. Houser is only 4-5 but has a nice 3.77 ERA on the season. Houser has allowed two runs or fewer in six of his last seven starts. Austin Gomber toes the rubber for the Rockies today. Gomber is 6-5 on the season with a 3.54 ERA. He's been outstanding at home, going 3-1 with a 0.95 ERA. Expect a low scoring contest here tonight. Play UNDER.

Just one game on the WNBA slate here on Friday as the Phoenix Mercury take on the LA Sparks. The Mercury are at the bottom of the WNBA standings, but they are just three games out of 3rd place too. The Mercury are 5-7 on the season and average 78.8 ppg. The LA Sparks are 5th in the league with their 5-5 record. They average 78.5 ppg. LA is 1-6 O/U in their last seven games with 1 day rest. They are also 3-10 O/U in their last 13 overall games. Two teams that both could use a win in this contest. For me, I'm taking the UNDER.

The Chicago White Sox lost to the Houston Astros on Thursday, 2-10. The loss knocked a game off the Sox AL Central lead over the Indians, now 3.5-games. Still, the Sox have won seven of their last 10 games. The Astros have won eight of their last 10 games and four straight following Thursday's win. The Astros still trail the Oakland A's by 2-games in the AL West. The White Sox start Carlos Rondon who is 6-2 in his 11 starts. Rondon has been excellent with a 1.89 ERA and 1.80 road ERA. Rondon has allowed just two runs over his last two starts (12 innings). The Astros counter with Luis Garcia. Garcia is 5-3 in his 11 starts with a 2.98 ERA. Garcia has not allowed more than three run in any of his 11 starts. Two excellent starters who should keep this a low scoring game. Play UNDER.

Clippers and Jazz play game five of their semifinal best of seven series here today from Utah. LA tied up the series with a pair of home wins at Staple's Center. Now the venue returns to Utah where the Jazz won the first two games. Problem is that the Clippers will be without one half of their potent duo as Kawhi Leonard is expected to miss tonight's contest with a knee injury. Leonard and Paul George combined for 62 points in their game four win. The Jazz could see the return of start veteran guard Mike Conley, who has been nursing a hamstring injury. He is officially questionable for tonight's contest. For me, if Leonard isn't playing then this will be the Utah Jazz show tonight. Utah was -2 or -2.5 when Leonard was playing and shot up to around -7 without him. That for me is too much of a jump, so I'll just stick with the UNDER here tonight.

Vegas dominated game one of this semifinal clash, 4-1. The score could have been a lot higher if not for Carey Price and some great saves for the Habs. Still, game one the Knight dominated every facet of the game and had three of their goals scored by defensemen. Vegas has arguably the best defense in the NHL and offensive minded defensemen. Their speed was too much, their forchecking too much, they bottled up the Canadiens in their own zone. And of course Marc-Andre Fluery was great between the pipes again. Unless Montreal turns things around, this could be a quick series. Our under in game one was a nail biter as the Habs pulled their goalie with nearly five minutes to play and had numerous scoring chances. Plus the Knights missed two or three empty net goals by mere inches. Still I don't see Montreal scoring much more than they did in game one. As for today, I can't lay the huge price, but we won the total in game one, lets do it again. Play UNDER.

 Game five of this best of seven Eastern Conference final has the venue switching back to Brooklyn. The Nets won the first two games in convincing fashion, 115-107 and 125-86. Then had to go back to Milwaukee where the Bucks took game three (83-86) and then game four (96-107) to even the series. All four games have gone Under. What were two of the highest scoring teams in the NBA have done little to come close to an over. We've seen this total open at 239, then to 238, 235, 229 the last game and here today we see a total of 219 bet down to 217. One big reason is that the Nets will be without two thirds of their BIG THREE!. James Harden (hamstring) and Kyrie Irving (Ankle) are both listed as OUT for this game. That's 51.7 ppg that they will be missing. The way this series has gone and now without these two big players, I'm sticking with the under again. Play UNDER.

Interleague action here on Tuesday has the Boston Red Sox playing at the Atlanta Braves. The Red Sox are in 2nd in the AL East, three games back of the Rays. The Braves are 5.5 games back in the NL East, sitting in third place. They have had some offensive issues, posting a -2 run differential. The Braves snapped their four game losing streak in which they didn't score more than three runs in any of those losses. The Red Sox start Eduardo Rodriquez today. Rodriquez is 5-4 in his 12 starts but has a high 6.03 ERA and 1.452 WHIP. He's allowed 19 runs over his last four starts (18 2/3 innings). The Braves start Tucker Davidson today. Davidson has no record in his three starts with a 1.53 ERA. Still to few starts for Davidson to know if he's the real deal or not. I'm taking over today with Rodriquez on the hill for the Sox. Match of past champions here in the 2020 Euros as 2018 World Cup Champ France takes on 2014 World Cup Champions Germany. Germany comes into this game with a 3-1-2 record in all competitions and France is 5-0-1 their last six in all competitions. France one of the best defensive teams in the World and that should be on display here today. Yes, this German team is formidable, but they are not the force they once were. This game looks to be low scoring and I believe the first goal could be the winning goal. Take UNDER.

The Cubs have won four straight games. The Cardinals have dropped to five-games back of first place thanks to a 2-8 record over their last 10 games. The Cardinals will start Carlos Martinez today. Martinez is 3-6 in his 11 starts with a 6.21 ERA. He's been even worse on the road with a 1-4 record and 7.04 ERA. Martinez has allowed 15 runs over his last 4 2/3 innings of work. The Cubs will start Zach Davies today. Davies is 3-3 in his last 13 starts with a 4.45 ERA and a slightly better 3.52 ERA at home. Davies has allowed one or no runs in three of his last four starts. I like the UNDER here today, we just need the Cardinals starter to do a bit better then he has lately. Cubs should shut down this St Louis team today. Play UNDER.

The Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks had a rare low scoring affair in game three as neither team looked very sharp in the Bucks win, 86-83. The Bucks didn't get the cover though as most numbers were 3.5 on Milwuakee. Still, the Bucks were lucky to survive as they trailed 83-80 last in the fourth before take a 84-83 lead with 11 seconds left. A Nets three-point miss led to a pair of foul shots and the final 86-83 Milwaukee win. Sunday the Nets could have James Harden back who has not played since the opening minute of game one with a hamstring issue. The oddsmaker must expect Harden back as the Nets went from a 3.5 dog to a 2-point favorite here in game four. I didn't like the way the Bucks have looked in any of the three games. Even if Harden returns today, I still see this game going the way it has been, lower scoring. The Nets have gone under in their last four games. The Bucks are 1-6 O/U at home their last seven games against a team with a winning road record. These teams have also gone under in five straight meetings. Take the UNDER.

AL Central matchup here today has the Penthouse vs the Outhouse as the first place White Sox take on the last place Tigers. The Sox have opened up a 4.5-game lead over 2nd place Cleveland thanks to a 7-3 run. The Tigers have lost two straight and six of their last 10 as they have dropped to 14-games back in the Central. Carlos Rondon starts for the Sox and he's been excellent with a 5-2 record in his 10 starts with a 1.96 ERA. He's been just as good on the road with a 3-0 record and 1.93 ERA. The Tigers have nothing to lose now so they are starting Kyle Funkhouser. This is one of those bullpen games where a reliever gets the start today. Expect a lot of the Tigers relief core to make an appearance in this one as Funkhouser won't go more than three innings max. No doubt Rondon will shut down this Tigers team. Let's see if this relief game by the Tigers can do the same. Play the UNDER.

The Rockies have the problem that they play in the very competitive NL West. It's basically a 3-game race in the West and the Rockies aren't one of them. Colorado is 15-games back of first place San Francisco. The Reds are in 4th place in the NL Central, but just 5-games back of first place. German Marquez starts for the Reds with a 4-5 record and 3.91 ERA. He's bee slightly better on the road with a 3.74 ERA. In fact, he's been very good of late, allowing just three total runs over his last four starts (26 innings). The Reds start Wade Miley. Miley is 5-4 in his 10 starts with a nice 2.96 ERA. He's also been very good of late, allowing just two total runs in his last three starts (15 2/3 innings). Looks like a low scoring affair with two hot starters. Play UNDER.

Euro 2020 Campaign here on Saturday has Belguim taking on Russia. Belgium the favorite to win it all as they garnered all 30 points of 30 possible in the qualifications. This is Begium's first appearance at the Euros since 2000 and they expect to go all the way this year. Russia has been no slouch either, going 3-2-1 over their last six games in all matches. The last time these two teams met on the pitch resulted in a 3-3 tie during the 2017 friendlies. Belgium should take this game, the only question is the score. I'm taking the OVER and if we get one goal out of Russia we should get the win. Play OVER.

This Eastern Conference series moves to Atlanta tonight for game three as the Hawks look to take 2-1 advantage and hold home court against the Sixers. The Sixers rebounded from their game one loss at home with a 118-102 win in game two. The Hawks find themselves a 1.5 point home dog here tonight. Atlanta has been a good covering team at home, going 25-13 and 20-6 ATS over their last 26 at home. Philly forward Joel Embiid always seems to be the focal point with his injuries. Embiid is questionable with a knee injury tonight. The Hawks have only trailed at the half in one playoff game and that was game two vs Philly. As for the total, the Sixers have gone under in four of their last five games. They are also 4-12 O/U in their last 16 games as a road favorite. Atlanta has gone under in six of their last seven games as a playoff dog. They are also 2-8 O/U in their last 10 overall games. I'll take the UNDER here tonight.

The LA Clippers lost game one of this Western Conference semifinals at Utah, 112-109. The Jazz trailed 47-60 at the half but rallied in the third quarter to tie the game heading into the fourth. The Jazz held a large lead but the Clippers closed the final to three points, right on the number. Donovan Mitchell scored 45 points for the Jazz in the win. The Jazz did this without their star player in Mike Conley, who missed the game with a hamstring injury. Conley is questionable for tonight's contest. Despite the loss, the good news for the Clippers was that DeMarcus Cousins made his postseason debut and finished with six points in four minutes. The Jazz have been a good over play recently, with six of their last seven home games going over. In addition, eight of their last nine playoff games as a favorite have gone over. Game one was right on the over/under number and I expect tonight's game to get over the number. Take OVER.

Colorado has split the first two games of their series with the Marlins, losing Tuesday 2-6 and then winning last night, 4-3. The Rockies have won six of their last 10 games. Miami has fallen lately, winning just twice in their last 10 games and now in last place in the NL East, 7 1/2 games back of the Mets. The Rockies will start Chi Chi Gonzalez tonight. Gonzalez is 1-2 with a 4.42 ERA. He's pitched well of late, allowing just two runs over his last 13 innings of work. Miami will start Trevor Rogers tonight. Rogers has been one of the best for the fish, posting a 6-3 record in his 12 starts with a 1.97 ERA and a 1.71 ERA at home. Rogers has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last six starts. Rogers will keep this game lower scoring and if Gonzalez can pitch like he has lately, this game will go UNDER.

The LA Clippers had to survive seven games to advance to this stage of the playoffs. Dallas turned out to be much more difficult then the Clippers might of thought as they lost three home games and faced two elimination games. Now they have to face the top seed in the West, Utah. The Jazz have the third best defense in the league thanks to Rudy Gobert, likely the top defensive player in the league. The Clippers will have to do a better job defensively or Utah will kill them from 3-point arc, as Dallas did. Dallas allowed the second fewest 3-point attempts in the league and that could be an issue for a Clippers team that doesn't drive the paint all that much. A lot of questions should be answered here in game one. For me, the Clippers are a long shooting team and that will be the key to this over/under. Utah defends the paint better then the Perimeter and that's the difference here. Play the OVER.

Vegas Golden Knights tied this series at 2-2 after a commanding win in game four. The Knights got the hat trick from Jonathan Marchessault and another outstanding performance from goalie Marc-Andre Fluery. Tonight the venue shifts back to Denver where the Avs have been about unbeatable. They beat VGK in game one, 7-1. Both teams are really heating up the shooting and aggressive play. Tonight we get a 5.5 total and I expect this game to go over that number. Play OVER.

Game one the NBA Western Semifinals here as the Suns host the Nuggets tonight. The Nuggets got past the stubborn Trailblazers while the Suns downed defending Champion LA Lakers. The Nuggets are led by star player Nikola Jokic who had a great first round. Michael Porter also emerged as a breakout player in their first round series. The Suns will rely more on Devon Booker in this series as Chris Paul has been banged-up but should play tonight. And of course the Nuggets again will be without star player Jamal Murray who is out for the rest of the playoffs with a ACL injury. This is going to be a tough series, one that could easily go seven games. This series also will be the Denver offense against the Phoenix defense. Tonight, I see the Suns offense to get enough points to go with the Nuggets offense to get this game over the total. Play OVER.

Game two in the NBA 2nd round between the Bucks and Nets as Milwaukee looks to even the series at 1-1 before returning home for game three. The Nets took game one, 115-107 in a low scoring game for two of the highest scoring teams in the NBA. The line has dropped from game one as the Nets now a 1.5-point favorite and the total at 234.5 in this Eastern Conference Semifinal. One big loss for the Nets is that of James Harden. Harden pulled up lame in the opening minute of game one with a hamstring issue and will not play here in game two. Both these teams have been hot with Brooklyn winning 10 of the last 11 and the Bucks going 12-2 their last 14. I don't expect the Bucks offense to be flat like it was in game one as they scored 12 fewer points then their season average. Even with their poor shooting they weren't too far off in game one. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 34 points and 11 rebounds. I fully expect a big rebound game here tonight out of the Bucks, especially with Harden on the shelf for this one. I look for a much higher scoring contest tonight. Play OVER.

The Giants have now won three straight and eight of their last 10 games to open up a 2-game lead in the NL West division over the Padres. The Cubs dropped into a tie for first in the AL Central with their loss to the Giants on Saturday. That makes three losses in a row for the Cubs. Kyle Hendricks starts today for the Cubs. Hendricks is 6-4 in his 11 starts with a 4.62 ERA. Hendricks has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last four starts. The Giants will send Johnny Cueto to the hill. Cueto is 4-1 in his eight starts with a 3.45 ERA. He's been a bit better at home with a 2.59 ERA in four starts, a 3-1 record and 0.904 WHIP. I like this game to go under today.

Minnesota took last night's contest from the Royals, 5-4. They still trail 1-2 and can even the series with a win here today. Game one they scored 11, game two 19 and yesterday nine runs. The Royals are still 5-games back in the AL Central while the Twins are still in last, 12-games back. Bailey Ober makes just his second start of the season for the Twins. His first was rocky, going just four innings vs the White Sox and allowing five hits and four runs. Brady Singer will toe the rubber for the Royals. Singer is 3-4 in 11 starts with a 5.06 ERA. He's allowed 10 earned runs over his last 8 1/3 innings of work. I like this one to go OVER today.

Much anticipated clash here between the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets. These could be the best two teams in the NBA as they meet here in the NBA 2nd Round playoffs. These teams met three times during the regular season with the Bucks taking two of three. Two of the three games went over 240 points. This is the BIG three of the Nets vs Antetokounmpo of the Bucks. The Nets had the best offense during the regular season and that was with each of their three big stars missing significant time due to injuries. The Bucks will be without guard Donte DiVencenzo who has a tendon injury in his foot and will miss the rest of the playoffs. Forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo will miss a few weeks with a foot injury. Should be a great series between arguably the two best teams in the NBA. I'll lay the small number here at home with the Nets. Play Brooklyn.

The Chicago Sky have struggled out of the gate to a 2-6 record and 11th place in the WNBA. The Sky have lost six straight games and have a point differential of -1.9 ppg. The LA Sparks are in 7th place with a 3-3 record and are coming off a win over the Indiana Fever, 98-63. Both these teams average the same 77.5 ppg this season. Yet we have a total close to 160. The Sky have gone under in their last six as the dog. They are also 3-8 O/U in their last 11 vs the Western Conference teams. LA has gone under in eight of their last nine games and 1-4 O/U their last five a favorite. I'm taking the UNDER here today.

Two of the lowest scoring and better defenses here so it's not wonder we see the lowest totals pretty much in the playoffs. This has been a low scoring series and now both sides missing some of their best players. Chris Paul has been hurting for the Suns and Anthony Davis still hurting for the Lakers. Historically Game 6 have been under plays, doing so about 57% of the time. I'll take the Suns and Lakers UNDER here tonight.

Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox begin this four-game set here on Thursday. The Tigers had Wednesday off while the White Sox saw their game at Cleveland postponed. The Sox have a 2.5 game lead in the AL Central over the Cleveland Indians. The White Sox have lost two straight games but have won seven of their last 10. The Sox also have the best run differential in baseball with a +79 mark. Detroit is in fourth place in the Central with a 23-32 record. They trail the White Sox by 10-games and are 5-5 in their last 10 overall. Casey Mize will start for the Tigers. Mize is 3-3 in his 10 starts with a 3.28 ERA. He's been even better on the road where his ERA drops to 2.61 and his WHIP to 0.974. Mize has allowed just one run in each of his last three starts and four of his last five. Lance Lynn was scheduled to start Wednesday and now goes tonight. Lynn has been excellent this year with a 6-1 record, 1.37 ERA and 0.930 WHIP. Lynn has allowed just three total runs over his last five starts (28 innings). Should be a low scoring game with these two starters on the hill today. Play UNDER.

The Tampa Bay Lightning return home for game three of this 2nd round series after taking both games in Raleigh and a commanding 2-0 lead. Both Tampa victories were by the same 2-1 score. Carolina had a good series against Nashville, scoring at least three goals in each of their four wins. In fact, four of the six games vs the Predators went over. Tampa Bay can also score well, as they did in the Florida series with 24 goals in the six games. While the first two in this series were low scoring I see the change in venue will also change this to a higher scoring series. Play OVER.

Miami Marlins look to snap a 4-game losing skid here tonight against the Blue Jays. The Marlins are 5-games back of first place NY Mets. Strangely, the Marlins have the divisions best run differential at +6 runs. The Blue Jays are 5-5 over their last 10 games and sit in 4th in the AL East, 5.5-games back of the Rays. Miami sends Pablo Lopez to the hill. Lopez is 1-3 in his 11 starts but has a nifty 2.71 ERA on the season. Lopez has allowed just four total runs over his last 19 innings. The Jays will start Alek Manoah, who makes just his second start this year. Manoah went six strong innings in his first start, allowing no runs and just hits for the win over the Yankees. I like this game to be a tight, low scoring one. Play the UNDER.

Battle of last place teams here on Wednesday has the last place AL Central Twins taking on the last place AL East Orioles. The Orioles have lost nine of their last 10 games while the Twins have won six of their last 10 games. The Twins will start Randy Dobnak, who is 1-1 in his only two starts. Dobnak has a 4.50 ERA. Matt Harvey will toe the rubber for the O's. Harvey is 3-6 in his 11 starts with a 6.84 ERA and 1.643 WHIP. Harvey has allowed at least five runs in each of his last four starts while not lasting over 4 2/3 innings in any of those outings. Harvey is long gone from his glory days with the Mets. Should be plenty of runs in this game. Play OVER.

The NL East 1st place NY Mets blew a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the 9th and lost in extra innings last night to Arizona. The Mets are still 3.5-games in first place. Arizona got a rare win last night, only their 2nd in their last 10 games. They also have the worst run differential in the NL West with a -52 and not surprisingly they are 14.5-games back of division leading San Francsico. The Mets will start David Peterson today. Peterson is 1-4 in nine starts with a 4.91 ERA. The D'backs will start Madison Bumgarner who is 4-5 in his 11 starts with a 5.15 ERA. Neither starter all that good this year and with that I'll be taking the OVER here today. Play OVER.

vThe Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins both are trying to climb back in into the AL Central division. The Royals are 6.5 games back of the White Sox and the Twins are 10 games back. The Twins have won seven of their last 10 games to inch back closer. The Royals will start Brad Keller here today. Keller is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 5.72 ERA and 1.730 WHIP. Matt Shoemaker will toe the rubber for the Twins today. Shoemaker has a 2-5 record in his nine starts with a 5.48 ERA and 1.413 WHIP. Shoemaker has been slightly worse at home, posting a 6.25 ERA and 1.516 WHIP. I like these two AL Central Middle dwellers to get some runs here today. I'm taking the OVER.

The Chicago White Sox have won three straight games and now sit atop of the AL Central by three games over the Indians. The Orioles, well they are in a free fall. The O's have lost 12 straight games and now are in last place in the AL East, 15.5 games back of first place. Not surprising, the O's will send Keegan Akin to the hill for his first start of the year. Akin was called up from Triple-A Norfolk on May 10th. Akin was 1-2 with a 4.56 ERA in August 2020, his first showing in the majors. The White Sox will counter with Lucas Giolito. Giolito is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 4.04 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 3.19 ERA. Giolito has allowed one run or fewer in four of his last five starts. Giolito isn't as dominant as he has been in the past so he could give up some runs. However, I look for the Sox to get plenty of runs and this game go OVER.

Miami has played well of late, despite losing their last two games at Boston. The Marlins are 6-4 over their last 10 games. Miami is in fourth in the NL East with a 24-27 record, just 3.5-games back of the Mets. The Red Sox will be fighting the rest of the way with the Rays and Yankees. The Sox are a half game back of the Rays. Miami starts Trevor Rogers today. Rogers has been great for the fish with a 6-2 record in his 10 starts and a 1.75 ERA. He has not allowed more than one run in any of his last four starts and six of the last seven. Nathan Eovaldi is 5-2 for the Sox after 10 starts with a 4.23 ERA and 1.175 WHIP. Two excellent starters here on Saturday. I'll take the UNDER.

The LA Sparks are still looking for their first win of this young season as they sit at 0-2. They have scored an average of 70 ppg thus far but allowed a whopping 95.5 ppg. The Sparks opened the season with a 71-94 loss to the Wings and then a loss to the LV Aces 69-97. The Chicago Sky are 2-2 thus far in the season. The Sky have average 80.8 ppg on the year. They should get that and more here tonight against this Sparks team that has allowed over 90 points in each of its first to games. I'm going to take this game OVER tonight.

The Yankees are 7-3 over their last 10 games, yet they have fallen from first place in the AL East mainly because the TB Rays are 9-1 over their last 10 games. The Yankees are now 2-games back in the East in a three-game dogfight with the Rays and Red Sox. Detroit, well they are having another poor season. The Tigers are just 19-31 and in last place in the AL Central. They are already 10.5-games back in the division. One bright spot for the Tigers is tonight's starter, Casey Mize. Mize is just 3-3 in his nine starts, but has a very respectable 3.42 ERA. In fact, Mize has allowed just five total runs over his last four starts (26 innings). Won't be easy though as they face Yankees Ace Gerrit Cole. Cole is 6-2 in his 10 starts with a 1.81 ERA and 0.804 WHIP. Cole had a bad start two games ago, allowing five runs at Texas over five innings. He bounced back with a seven inning, no run allowed effort to the White Sox. If you exclude that five run game, Cole has allowed two earned runs or fewer in all other nine starts. Don't expect Detroit to get many if any runs here tonight. Mize should keep it close and that's why I'll be on the UNDER tonight.

The Memphis Grizzlies need a pair of Play-in wins in the playoffs to get to this series with the Utah Jazz. And, the Grizzlies shocked the Jazz in game one in Utah, 112-109. Dillon Brooks let the Grizzlies with 31-points. The Grizzlies have gone over in their last five playoff games when the dog. They are also 7-3 O/U in their last 10 overall games when the dog. The Jazz have gone over their last four games at home as a favorite and five of their last seven. The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these teams and 6-0 O/U in the last six meetings in Utah. Expect a much better effort tonight from the Jazz. Take the OVER.

Best of seven series here tonight continues between the LA Lakers and Phoenix Suns. The Suns took game one on Sunday, 99-90 and covered the short 2-point spread. The Lakers will try and avoid going down 0-2 in the series. The Lakers had won five straight to end the regular season and then beat the Warriors in their play-in game on a last second LeBron James 3-point shot. I'll be looking at the over here in game two. Yes, the Lakers have struggled offensively this year, but that's in part due to long injury layoffs by their star players. Phoenix has been a good over team, going 21-7 O/U in their last 28 overall games. They are also 9-4 O/U in their last 13 home games. These teams have a 9-4-1 O/U record in their last 14 games in Phoenix. I'm playing the OVER tonight.

The Chicago Sky sit in 4th place in the WNBA with a 2-1 record. The Sky have average 80.0 ppg this year while allowing 75.3 ppg. The Sky are coming off their first loss of the season to the NY Liberty, 85-93. The Atlanta Dream are 1-2 on the season and average 75.7 ppg while allowing 80.7 ppg. The Dream got their first win of the season last time out with a win over the Fever, 83-79. I am looking at the OVER here in this game as I expect both teams to score big here tonight. I'm taking the OVER.

AL East action early here on Monday has the Tampa Bay Rays taking on the Toronto Blue Jays. The Rays are red-hot, having won 10-straight games and have pulled into a tie in the East with the Red Sox for the top spot. The Blue Jays have lost five straight and dropped to fourth in the East, 4.5-games back of the Rays and Red Sox. The Rays have been a very good over team with a 27-20 O/U mark on the season. This game should be another high scoring affair. The Rays start Ryan Yarbrough who is 0-3 in five starts with a 6.28 ERA. He's even worse on the road with a 8.25 ERA. Yarbrough has just one of his five starts that he has seen fewer than five runs allowed and that was in his first start of the season. New isn't any better on the Jays side with 0-3 Ross Stripling toeing the rubber today. Stripling has a 7.20 ERA on the season and a 8.31 ERA at home. This one should see plenty of runs. Play the OVER.

 The Memphis Grizzlies moved on to the regular NBA Playoffs after defeating the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Play-In Game. Good news for the Jazz and bad news for the Grizzlies is the likely return tonight of guard Donovan Mitchell who was upgraded to probable. Mitchell averaged 26.4 points per game this season so that's a lot of offense back in the lineup. The teams still matchup well and that could lead to a more intense matchup then No 1 vs No 8. The Jazz have been a good over team in the playoffs, with a 9-4-1 O/U record in their last 14 playoff games when a favorite. This matchup has also produced overs with four of the last five going over and the last five meetings in Utah all going over. I'm going to look for more points here tonight with Mitchell returning to the lineup. Play OVER.

Finally getting past those play-in games and into the real NBA playoffs as the Dallas Mavericks take on the LA Clippers in game one of their series from the Staples Center. These teams met up last year in the bubble playoffs where the Clippers won the best-of-seven series, 4-2. Dallas finished their regular season winning six of their last eight games S/U and five of eight ATS. The Clippers lost their last two of the regular season and were 3-3 ATS their last six. I'll be looking at the total here on Saturday. This will be a contrast of styles as the Mavericks have been a good over team and the Clippers have been more of an under team of late. LA is 0-5-1 O/U in their last six home games and 3-12-1 O/U in their last 16 over. In addition, the last four meetings between the Clippers and Mavs have gone UNDER. I'll take the UNDER here in game one.

The Carolina Panthers look to hold home court as they seek a 2-0 lead in this series with the Nashville Predators. It took the Predators winning 20 of their last 28 regular season games to secure that 4th and final playoff spot. This series didn't start the way the Predators were hoping as they couldn't overcome a third period surge by the Panthers to lose game one, 2-5. The Predators are now 1-4 over/under in their last five road games. They are also 4-11-2 o/u in their last 17 games as a dog. Carolina is 2-7-1 o/u in their last 10 vs a team with a winning record. With the exception of game one, this has been a under series of late with a 1-5-1 O/U record the last seven meetings. I'm going to come back with the under here tonight.

Play-in game here today as one of these teams will see their season end tonight. The Charlotte Hornets will be without forward Gordon Hayward, who is out with a foot injury. Hayward averaged 19.6 points over 44 games. The Pacers are also having injury issues. Forward Domantas Sabonis (quad) and guard Malcom Brogdon (hamstring) are both questionable for tonight. The Hornets have been a good under team of late. They are 3-9 O/U in their last 12 road games a an underdog. They are also 5-12 in their last 17 overall away games and 11-26 O/U in their last 27 games. These teams have also had a long history of under plays, evidenced by their 5-21 O/U mark in the last 26 meetings in Indiana. More short term, they are 0-3-1 O/U in their last four overall.
