Firsto is that the reining NBA Champions are favored by less then one three-point bucket at home and the Mavericks with the better record (22-16) should be much more then this. Now, here's the part about the 'numbers'...we have to give the Knicks (18-19) a real good chance to win this game outright. They are 12-7 ATS in their last 17 games but only 6-14 ATS in the last 20 meetings but, the road team is 8-3 ATS the last 11 meetings.. NEW YORK KNICKS!

Houston at Minnesota 8:00 ET Rockets (+) over Timberwolves- If you examine the trends surrounding this match-up it appears the home favorite are in serious trouble. To start, Houston has won six straight, are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games and they are 12-3-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings between these two. Minnesota has one factor in their corner and it is the fact that the favorite in the series is 14-2-1 ATS in the last 17 games although it was the Rockets who were favored for the most part. Too much for the youthful Wolves to handle. Take HOUSTON!

Indiana at LA Lakers 9:35 ET Pacers (+) over Lakers- Has anyone seen the LA Lakers? I mean, I realize that there is a team out there wearing their traditional purple and gold but other then Kobe Bryan, who are those guys? Now, I know that the Lakers are returning home off a terrible home trip and will welcome at home while the Pacers are at the end of a successful West Coast swing. After back-yo-back defeats in Miami and Orlando on Thursday and Friday the Lakers will take a day to adjust and Indiana who is off to their best start at 10-4 since 2004 have had eight of their 14 opponents under 90 pints. Right now, Philadelphia along with the Hawks are two of the Eastern Conferences top teams with the Sixers having won nine of their last 11 games. They have also gone 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Hawks must be distracted when the weekend arrives as they are only 8-20 ATS in their last 28 Friday games. Take PHILADELPHIA!

The Mavs are coming off two late losses in Los Angeles where both the Lakers and Clippers defeated the World Champs with late 3-pointers. Add the fact that the home team in this series is 23-7-1 in the last 31 meetings. Dallas with be without Vince Carter and I consider that a plus and after two straight losses and with the Jazz banged-up it is the MAVERICKS!

The loss of Al Horford for the season will show here against Portland's strong front line. Take the TRAILBLAZERS!

The Heat return home after three straight West Coast losses and they have had four days to gather themselves at home. These two split two games last season each winning at home. Take MIAMI!

For the Thunder center Kendrick Perkins returns to Boston where he played eight years. One of the reason these clubs are headed in different directions is because of the trade last February as the Celtics have aged and Oklahoma City is getting better. But, the Thunder are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games in Boston. It need of a win the veteran Celtics pull it together tonight. Take BOSTON!

Add that the Pistons are 7-1 ATS in their last eight meetings against Golden State. Lowly Detroit takes advantage of Warriors woes. Take PISTONS!

Portland at San Antonio 8:35 ET Trailblazers (+) over Spurs- San Antonio is beginning to 'feel' it. 'Feel' what? Okay, I admit the Spurs are 7-4 very respectable and on pace to once again host a playoff series. The problem for them comes from their point spread results where they are only 1-6 ATS in their last seven and just 7-19-1 in their last 27 dating back to last season. Portland off yesterday's loss to Orlando are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings between these two. Youthful Trailblazers average over 100 points per game and Sam Antonio will be hard pressed to keep pace. Take PORTLAND!

Utah is 5-0 at home and have always given the Lakers fits in Salt Lake. Just ask Kobe about trips to Utah! So, much in fact we find that the Spurs are just 1-10 ATS on the road in their last 11 and they are just 4-9 ATS in their last 13 meetings with the Bucks. Bynum may be back but Kobe Bryant has always struggled in Portland where he as a player has a record of 6-23 for his career. As a matter of fact Bryant isn't the only Laker that struggles against the Blazers, Bynum is averaging 6.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in the last 11 meetings.
